    interesting theory!
regarding the 7th element, it's physical. i believe its symbol appeared in a chinese ad for the game and you can also see the physical damage bonus in the detailed stats of your characters. of course, you can't get any at the moment, but it is there.
    nice video 🎉

Physical of course! It all makes even more sense. I’m almost hoping this comes true more in the sense we get Wukong as a char to play with.

Ohh, interesting take that pulls from your own knowledge of the classics but would be very well-known to those who grew up with it. Thanks for connecting the dots, and I look forward to seeing if it's correct.

Actually, you’re spot on. There are way too many references/coincidences for it not to be inspired by Journey to the West.
The fact that this game is an apocalyptic setting set in the future with themes from JTTW makes me even more excited to dive into future lore.

Interesting... Regarding the 72 forms, numbers in Chinese are used as a means to signify quantity. So, when someone says "A Hundred Swords," it essentially means "a lot of swords." Therefore, the number of Echos doesn't really matter in disproving your theory.
Expanding on your theory, Wukong was thrown out of the heavens by the Goddess, just as we experience in the game. Imagine if, as players, we are actually hairs(clones) of a larger entity? It would be insane to think that each player is a different clone of Wukong.
