Hi Karu, Thanks for the feedback. I hope the video was helpful to get your serve on track. I think you live in S. CA, correct? I am at the Newport Beach Tennis Club. Let me know if you would like to meet sometime. Perhaps we can do a clinic with our High Performance Junior Program sometime....let me know if interested. Best, John

Thanks for the wonderful analysis aimed at a rec player! I took away lot of great points. I do wonder if he makes it look easy - especially with tossing parallel to baseline in platform stance (just like Roger - as you said). I see lot of opponents at rec level struggle when ball goes back especially for the first serve resulting in awkward balance (could also be due to inability to bend back right). I love the tip on letting the left hand lead the shoulder and body in bending back.
I would love for you analyze my serve. I will reach out. Thanks!

Excellent analysis coach! I guess it makes no difference to have the palm facing towards the sky when the racket tip falls to the lowest point, as it seems like many pros have more of a closed racket face.

Hi John...Karue is palm down but at around 9:42, he is in the palm up position and racket face is in the waiter position before the drop?...aren't we supposed to be primarily palm down through the swing?...thanks

And shown again clearly at 9:51. This position is what instructor’s at OTI tell me to avoid - they want my palm down.

Coach , can you kindly do the analysis of "Yevgeny Kafelnikov "( Former # 1) service motion ..he use to be called " Iron man " of ATP tour ( 1990-2000) . he was playing every double and single tournaments In ATP tour ...... many experts believed the key to his longevity was his very simple motion serve BUT VERY economical .... it was so effortless and not much of the knee bent ...mainly was an arm motion but was VERY effective ...A I said he was #1

The toss and your lines are often not in frame. Makes it hard to appreciate what you're analyzing.
