fully fully agree! My worry at the moment is that Biden may be a little to senior in years for the American public in 2024, and Kamala Harris is not really presidential material. Don’t see anyone in the wings capable enough to take over the mantle…and DeSantis is an angry mean moralistic conservative who will decimate the progress, and catapult social and cultural progress into the stone ages. He says he does not want to see government in our business, yet that he is precisely doing that…and it will be bad. Impacts the US, but also the world.
So, I am worried…will ultimately come down to the independents
He’s all those things, but also has a very sketchy history if anyone cares to look back to the last presidential primary. His history of racism as south bend mayor is a good place to start your research. His shadow app used during the first presidential primary is another thing to look at. His work with McKinsey is also an area of scrutiny

I could listen to Pete talk all day. He's always matter of fact and articulate.
He reminds me a bit of Obama in that regard, although I think Pete's a stronger non-scripted speaker.
Pete's answers are always so calm & so intelligent, right off the cuff without any delay.
He needs more experience and exposure. President Biden put him exactly were he should be.
Democrats hire the best people for the jobs: intelligent and qualified for the position. Republicans hire detractors: who incite fear, hate, chaos, disruption, and failure. Democrats build from the ground up and outward. Republicans tear down from the top. Republicans give raises to themselves. Democrats give raises to all of us.

Any politician who takes money donations from a billionaire is not to be trusted. Forty billionaires and their spouses have donated to Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign back in 2019, when he acted immoral and backed out from the race before SuperTuesday in order to turn situation in favour of Biden who at that moment would surely lose against Bernie. For his action, he was awarded with position of Secretary of Transportation. Not only he is corrupt politician who will not act against corporations in order to save lives of ordinary people, he will do anything to be in power. He is grooming himself to be president one day, and that day, when it comes will be dystopian horror. He is articulate, well spoken, but full of platitudes without single idea or policy proposal that will help ordinary Americans. He is in it for power and some money. It would be moral to be in politics to help every American get healthcare, education, child care, housing and pension in wealthiest country in the world. Instead, he will work to keep status quo, and help rich to get richer. I would love for him to prove me wrong, and once in power, he establishes universal healthcare and lowers over bloated military budget for 10%.

@@cajbrg He did run for president in 2020. After Biden won, he chose him to be a part of his cabinet as his current job. That's usually a big difference between the parties. Trump didn't choose any of the people he was up against after he won in 2016. Instead, he appointed his family members to positions in his cabinet.

I love listening to Pete. He is always so well-spoken and thoughtful in his words. It's nice to listen to someone who doesn't just blurt out the first thing he thinks to say.
Yesterday Pete had the opportunity to address the massive Ohio railway disaster that happened under his watch. Instead he went off about there being too many white professional workers in the US. The usual Dem race baiting. His proposal is to replace competent white people with people who qualify because of their skin color. That's what happened in South Africa and it destroyed the country's infrastructure. They have rolling blackouts in every city for hours every day because they mismanaged the government electricity authority for decades. And it keeps getting worse because the voters keep voting for handouts. The country is about to implode into chaos and it's destined to be the next begging bowl of Africa. This is yet again because of hyper-incompetent and hyper-corrupt people getting permanent power because they simply have to play the race card and keep everyone de-educated.
I love how he ignored the train derailment and is letting chemicals spill into our air and water ways. I will be voting for him so this happens more. We deserve a toxic environment, this will help fight climate change

That Biden moment was electrifying. It showed he’s, in some ways, at the top of his game.
Every time I see Pete, reinforces my admiration of him. First in the 2020 campaign, then reading his autobiography, and now in his role in the administration. I especially love seeing him on FAUX news. He can play them like a violin virtuoso. Combine him with BTC is a joy to watch , it gives this 70 year old retired teacher a continued hope for the younger generation.
Action, not hope, is needed now. Biden must run with Pete in 2024 as that is the only path for Pete to become president. The country is way too bigoted to elect Pete from scratch. Kamala is a boat anchor, really the only major mistake Biden has made so far.

I'm 65 and I've thought the same thing. He's intelligent, cares about what most Americans are concerned about and is very well spoken. I think he'd make an excellent president. MTGs behavior at President Biden's speech was unforgivable and utterly embarrassing. Why the GOP needs to take lessons from Trump bad behavior is beyond me. 💀I agree and disagree. He is well spoken, but he also never really says anything. He is intelligent while lacking any real ideas. If I am wrong about that I would be happy to hear how. He would be refreshing from a personality standpoint, but not from a policy standpoint. He has wonky technocrat written all over him. Also, I don't know if America is ready to elect a gay president (and I say that as a gay guy). I don't think he will do a 2024 run because Biden will probably go for it. I do think he will run for president again though someday and I will be happy to evaluate what he says then.

I too believe the fact-checking has been vital since 2017 -- I think 'accountable' is a stretch though. "Called out", maybe. But has anyone been held accountable yet? From the top down?
