    How useful it is that the text covers the panel. Very smart.

      Not good.. I agree... I'm making improvements so future videos I make will not have that issue.

    Good presentation but…
    Nothing is achieved by re-advancing the left Power Lever in the Autofeather test. Instead, merely pull the right PL back to idle also and verify that the left propeller stops trying to feather.

      This video was my attempt at a video version of the training facilities QRH. Any deviation would invalidate my intent. Maybe I miss understand but re-advancing the power lever is required otherwise the prop will stay in feather while I do the right side which doesn’t make sense to me.

      Hey thanks... this was a demo video i did for flyright.... i have plans for doing a whole set of kingair videos... for those i think the soonest will be next month.
      Are you already typed or getting ready for one?

      @@Eric_Taylor I fly co-pilot in one and need to start working on the type rating. Looking forward to more King Air videos you put out when you get around to it! 👍

      @@Eric_Taylor update...I do have a school date to get typed now and it’s quickly approaching! Lol. Oddly enough, the company I fly for bought N6410M a few years ago. Still had that new King Air feel and smell. It’s been the perfect plane for the missions our company flys. 👍
      Still planning on producing more king air 350 videos???
      I’d love to see them if you do!

      @@mxcollin95 I wont have access to the actual kingair sim for a little while but I can try to do some good videos in the Microsoft flight sim.... the only other option that can help you is to record the audio of me chair flying the procedures.... that is a big secret of how I can fly and say the procedures, its because I record myself saying all the normal and emergency procedures over and over. So I recommend you do that, record yourself reading the flows and checklist. Do that again and again and you will soon hear in your own voice confidence and certainty. Now you wont be able to make mistakes, that would be weird. Hope that helps you until I can get some videos going. I'll try do record something this weekend for you. good luck

    Do you do these checks for each flight? Or just the first flight of the day? What if you are doing multiple flights each day?

    • @Eric_Taylor
      @Eric_Taylor  3 роки тому +2

      Just the first flight...

      @@Eric_Taylor thanks for that. One more question if I may, do you do flap approach landings two engine and single engine? The POH only has graphs for flap up and flap full down, but nothing for flap approach.

    • @Eric_Taylor
      @Eric_Taylor  3 роки тому +1

      @@rfingerboards8752 Without a published flaps approach speed flaps approach landings are not approved. Pilots say it's their judgment in certain senarios like with very high winds. I flew Kingairs in Afghanistan all year including the high wind months and we never had a problem landing full flaps... that said several captains landed flaps approach also so... its all over the place.

      @@Eric_Taylor Thanks very much for the info. The debate I've heard is around leaving flaps at approach when single engine and in poor weather - to keep a stable approach concept when visual in poor weather at DA it is better to leave flaps at approach to avoid configuration and speed changes late on finals - which arguably goes away from a stable approach concept and is easier to fly (no changes to power, trim, speed late on finals). But I agree that landing with flap approach is not approved, and with good training it is fine to take flap down once visual at DA even single engine - it is how the aircraft was designed and certified to be flown.
