I am so happy to find this and see Bloodhound's worthy makeover. I had the unforgettable 2 months of a lifetime sail aboard her crewing with 2 other friends winter of 1972 in the Caribbean during her so called 'derelict' period. This history lesson puts it all into perspective. Thank you for producing this.
Please please please, I live in Oban and there is no r in the town name, it's O-ban. Love the films and you have inspired me to buy and sail a 30ft yacht around the Scottish West coast for the last few years. I've enjoyed your teaching vids this year bit when will you be back out on the yacht?
I grew up sailing small yachts in the West of Scotland. As a young man in the sixties Bloodhound was berthed in the basin of the Crinan Canal at the north end. Hooligans that we were back then, my pal and myself gentlely stepped onto the aft deck. Just to say we had, there was nobody aboard , of course. She was the most stunning yacht that I had ever seen. At the time she would have been considered big for a family yacht. The Princess Royal had her Rustler just a little north of there for many years. I am not sure that it is still there as I have retired to Edinburgh. I have some black and white photos of Bloodhound somewhere and if I can find them I will share with you. I can see where Princess Anne got her love of sailing and the west coast.
Is your motorcycle a Ducati, Buell or something else? It looks interesting... V twin. I've always rode older Kawasaki bikes, H1, H2, S3, KZ1, Z1R, and GTR1000 Concours so I don't know about bikes from this century. Thank you for the video I appreciate you sharing your time on the water.

Apologies for the bad spelling, and sorry that we haven't been out on the boat much this year. I suspect it wont be until next year now

Great adventure on a grand old ship! Thank you for sharing your adventure - from the other side of the pond!
Thank you, nice to hear from you
Very interesting and informative video. Thank you
Thanks, glad you liked it
She reminds me of the 12 meter yachts here in Newport, Rhode Island. 😊
There are similarities

Its a Yamaha MT01, they only made it for a couple of years and didnt make that many of them but for Ian, its the best bike ever made :-)
Great sailing videos - could do without the forelock-tugging. Lovely seeing your videos of the Mudway.
Thanks 👍
