Whitehaven Beach is amazing especially from the air! Great Barrier Reef was the most beautiful place on our trip to Australia! Great video, guys! By the way, we stayed at the same hotel on Hamilton Island..but didn‘t like it. However, amazing island with great hiking opportunities and viewpoints!
Yes the hotel felt like a mixed bag, we loved the view and had a great experience, it luckily wasn’t too busy when we visited either! We can imagine it being super crazy in height of summer though. Whitehaven beach is so pretty! Nothing like that sand!
Amazing! Great video! May I ask how many days in advance you would recommend to book a snorkeling trip to the Great Barrier Reef and a cruise to the Whitehaven beach from the Hamilton island? Our family is going there in mid July but only for three days. I worry if we book too early and if our flight to the Hamilton island is delayed by one night, then we will forfeit our bookings.
What company did you do your excursions with ? Also would you recommend doing Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven separately or on same day ? Going with someone with mobility issues so if can do a half or full day trip for both without ruining experience

Hey Rosie! I guess the vlog kind of says it all, we had a ton of fun. The island wasn't that busy when we visited but can't comment on the rest of the year, I guess it is pot luck. If you want quiet perhaps avoid school holidays as it's going to be busy during that period :)
It’s an amazing hotel! I got to pet a dingo at the wildlife park and the pool is great. Be warned not to dry your bathing suits outside because the cockatoos will poop on them
If you go to Hamilton Island, make sure you have your credit card, CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED ANYWHERE ON THE ISLAND! To the owners……. Cash is legal tender anywhere in Australia you dropkicks! 👎🏻😡. ❤️🇦🇺
Don't go there if you want to be ripped off. Cashless place. Better to go up north to Daintree Rainforest. You'll see more and have the flexibility to control your finances whist on yr holiday. A crapy pizza on Hamilton is about $40. Not worth the money guys. I've been their and know.
