Ren is currently and for at least the next months in Canada for health treatments. He seems to have produced some videos before he went to Canada. But there is so much to react to out there already that you don't need to wait for new songs! All his collaborations with other artists and with his band The Big Push and his solo stuff... ❤
Even though I have watched this video many times, I still have difficulty not having watery eyes when I watch it. SUCH a powerful and emotion-filled song!

I did see the filmmaker's reaction, I think it was one of the first reactions to Hi Ren I saw, and it was very impressive, because he suffers from OCD (if I remember correctly) so he started reacting as a filmmaker and then got hit by what the song is about. Loved your reaction to this song too, Chase! Looking forward to the next one (which I hope is 'Blind Eyed with Sam Tompkins and the angry car park attendant', because 1. it's live, 2. it's a collaboration, 3. Sam Tompkins is an amazing singer, 4. it's a very diverse song and completely different from the official version, and 5. it's a very funny video, improvised, stuff goes wrong, but that doesn't keep Ren and Sam from being absolutely brilliant)

Yet another masterpiece composition from Ren! (plus - arrangement, production and live musical accompaniment, on guitar, of course. Not to mention an amazing vocal performance, with the equally amazing Chinchilla) :)
You gotta do How To Be Me (Live) next. This duo is unmatched.
And Fingers (Live) by Chinchilla is the greatest vocal performance I've seen in the last ecade at least.
1000X better than any "top 40" hit on the radio. And that is no exaggeration...

Please, please check out more of Chinchilla Fingers, Elements, Little Girl Gone, Cold Water - she is amazing!!! As well as Sam Tompkins(another Ren friend and collaborator) - his new song See Me - is incredible as anything else of his you'll find. There is so much more Ren of course that is beyond phenomenal - you could just go into Ren's catalog and his collabs and discover so many more amazing musicians - you could just do them and nothing else and it will be a very diverse and amazing journey!

You said it bro. Im a 50 year old musician. The 70s 80s and 90s were my eras of music growing up. I learned to play guitar from Metallica tab books. Ren has a way to break all geenre lines and cross all music from so many eras. He's so versitile and such a lyrical genius. Ren has a way to uplift everyone that hears his genius

The studio version is also amazing. Same with How To Be Me, both versions of both songs are incredible for different reasons. Usually I have to choose between a live or studio, but for these two songs it's just perfect no matter what. I don't know how they do it, but these two are just magic together.

Queen Chinchilla is clear about never taking a back seat to any man. Including King of the Jungle Ren. They remind me of Stevie and Lindsey but draw their connection from different sources of pain. Separately they both strike awe, but together they transcend. I can’t begin to wait for their next collaboration.

As others have stated, 'how to be me' (live) is the other duet with Chinchilla that you really should check out. Its fun to watch them busking too - Ren introduced it to her and now its her fave place to perform. She was Signed to the same mangement company as Ren when he was with Sony, and she had toured with Sting etc, but she really blossomed with Ren and their chemistry is great.

Oh My My………..!! - Think you may like Chinchilla’s latest ‘Little girl gone’ but would suggest the lyric video so you can focus on the music as the MV is very busy and distracting.
Try Chinchillas Fingers (live) her performance is incredible and then do her latest release Little Girl Gone.

Sorry, I am a little late to your reaction, but again I have been enjoying it very much! At least this gives me the opportunity to highly recommend Ren's latest release, the live and fully accoustic version of "Animal Flow". Now, don't get me wrong, the original video that Ren dropped about two weeks ago is an absolute must watch as well. But besides being incredibly good on the guitar and having this unmatched ability of story telling when he goes live, it is just fascinating to experience how Ren can turn a song, that has needed some very thought out and vey unique studio production, into one of his" bardcore" songs. To me, both versions are an absolute must watch that I can highly recommend. Maybe even back to back (they are both only roughly 3 minutes long).
