@@ChaseCarneson and not only that, but to specifically mention how powerful it was and just being spoken and not sung. only to have his triumphant voice beautifully enter the story. great reaction!!!
Dude that’s incredibly kind of you. Means a lot, especially from someone I really respect in this space. Always really nice to hear something like this from a peer. ❤️

I've watched this at least 50 times and have yet to make it through without tears. He touches my soul just like Dimash does. I am going to Budapest on May 4th to see Dimash.
Dude, I discovered Ren a few weeks ago and have watched 100's of reaction videos but yours is the first one that's compelled me to comment, you did Ren so much justice and your analysis was just perfect. subscribed...
There isn't any melody to your words, but you are lyrical too ! And obviously a thinking man, and an empathetic one. I'm glad to have found your channel and am pleased that you "get" our Ren. Sinead O Connor called him an archangel from 12th Heaven. Another reactor said, " Ren is playing 4-D chess while the rest of the music industry is playing checkers. He is the bard from Brighton and the once and future writer/composer/director of dark Netflix series and movies. He has an amazing arsenal of talents.
Your facial expressions in the beginning say it all. The way he caught your attention and how quickly you knew this is something very special. Welcome to the amazing and multitalented modern day bard. I hope to see you down the Ren rabbit hole with the rest of us ❤
Right! The facial expressions are the best part of the reaction video...to see the moment it hits them light up on the face is what keeps me watching more.
What a great reaction and commentary. I just subscribed to your channel. “Hi Ren" is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar since December; it went viral and has garnered more than 5 million views since its debut, but he has been creating great music for more than ten years. Ren’s music videos are generally recorded live, often in a single take, although not necessarily the first take, and from various camera angles. His release, "Sick Boi," is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." Many of his songs resonate with people because he addresses struggles that many others face every day. Ren plays multiple instruments (acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, piano, drums), has impressive vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. He is considered by many a modern bard. His trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" is haunting and has an unforeseen conclusion. It needs to be watched in the order given, as this is the flow of the storyline. It is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling. It has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. His live music videos are especially impressive. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world. Ren’s Hip Hop/Rap style songs are all worth checking out if you enjoy this genre; they are pretty amazing. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).” As I recently discovered, Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful. Then there are his performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the moon/No Diggity”), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”), which are all great. Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up), their busking (street performances), concerts, and their live recordings, are awesome and well worth checking out. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "An Englishman in New York," “War Pigs,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive. Ren recently released his single, “Sick Boi.” In anticipation of his stay in Canada for more treatments, Ren prepared some music ahead of time to be released over the next six months that he expects to be gone. As mentioned above, his latest release, “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” is another masterful work.
There are a lot of amazing artists on youtube. But ever since I stumbled upon Ren a few years back, I've been just waiting for the guy to blow up. I just can't think of another equally talented and underrated guy wh is more deserving of that kind of recognition! And as I also really enjoy watching your channel, I'm excited for this reaction!
Everyone should read Ren's community board. He was really sick for years with many misdiagnoses until they figured out he had lyme disease. He is in Canada getting treatment right now.
I dont know if im crazy but there a few things id like to point out from my view. 1. The intro is DESIGNED to GRAB get your attention before the important story is told. 2. The outro being and updated version of the intro is decidely TRIUMPHANT in tone to help drag and uplift the listener out of the heaviness of the subject.
You know, one thing that always strikes me is how at the beginning of the song, the yodeling throws everyone off track, and they’re like, “what is this!?” And then when he picks it back up at the end, everyone smiles when they hear it…like they get it now. ❤
I was just waiting for you to lose your shit during that performance. Your emotions were bouncing like electrical charges. I subscribed and I want to thank you for your reaction.
Thank you so much for supporting. It’s was difficult to feel like contributing but also not wanting to stop something so perfect. Glad you enjoyed it. This one is special and there will be more.
Ren is a Poet, a Singer, a Rapper, a Songwriter, a Composer, a Musician, an Actor......An ARTIST. There's NO ONE out there doing what Ren is doing right now. Add to that that this is a LIVE taping....No pre-recorded music and lip-syncing in this one. Just Ren, Sam (the videographer), Ren's Guitar and 3 cameras for the 3 different perspectives. Look closely and you'll see the Mic on the top of his gown as well as his guitar plugged in (remote pack).
He is also a film director, and creator. The Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet were all followed by a series of social media posts that follow the story of Screech from the angle of him stealing Rens phone, he has collected all the clips in one short film, about 11 minutes. We learn a lot about Screeches back-story. Ren is a pure storyteller. He teaches empathy, a very important lesson for us all. Not one of us is innocent. We are all full of inner battles between our dark and light. The more we seek purity and one correct path, the more we alienate each other and judge, the harder we make life for those struggling. ❤️
You forgot genius of the highest level! He's a master. I am 57. I haven't seen his level of talent in my life. People have gotten close. But I believe he's in a class of his own. Watching Ren play must be how it felt to see DaVinci paint, or Michelangelo sculpt. I am extremely excited to think that I may be able to one day see him live. And I am envious of everyone who has seen him in Brighton. Lucky buggers!
I have to say that of the over a hundred reactions, dude, you did it. You are in the top, best handful. You are so perceptive and speak as smoothly as a scholar. But I appreciate you for doing this. Ren is F ing nuts. As in talent wise. And wisdom. And love of his work. I’m blown away a few times a day listening to him and Ren Virgins(yes that deserves a proper noun) reaction to it.
The World needs Ren ...RENewal. This One, his trilogy of tales, Money Game I & II, Bittersweet Symphony retake ... His whole catalogue are much needed brilliantly executed eye-openers.
"We MUST Protect Ren as ALL COSTS. This is beyond art. One of the most brilliant videos I've looked at on my channel to date and Hi Ren delivers a message that is desperately needed. This one is special...important." Exactly. He is a gift.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the look of shock and awe on your face whilst trying to comprehend what you were experiencing at the beginning I also loved how much it shook and moved you deeply.
As a Pre-teen/teen that grew up with toxic people with tainted lives I relate to this so much man. We all had to grow up and realize our mistakes that we made... Drugs, Lust, Jealousy, Envy, and Anger. As I got older I matured and realized those people were toxic and now I am living my best life with GOD.
It's of a different character, of course, but your reaction captivated me intensely... like HI REN itself. Both totally absorbing for the content and the emotion. Both an honor and an inspiration to experience. Much appreciation, Chase!
As a longtime poet and activist, who has been through my own long struggle with Lyme disease, I enjoyed your thoughtful reactions to this very poetic and psychologically insightful song and video. I appreciated how Ren showed--through words, terrific music, performance, and stagiing-- that one has to work through one's struggles to reach a well-earned state of hope. And once Ren is in that state of hope, he can stand, he can do his opera-like singing even through fast-blinking lights in the room, and he can even stand on one leg for a moment while doing that singing. And what nice and insightful spoken word piece at the end.
Apparently this recording is a single take, and it only took 4 tries to get it. As someone who has struggled with mental health for most of my life, what he says here rings true. While he couches things in the language of music, the truth in what he is saying shines through. And the vulnerability he shows through this is incredibly brave. His ultimate message of self compassion is incredibly valuable. Anyone who has suffered from mental health problems knows full well that voice of self hate/doubt/negativity, and how poisonous and self sabotaging it can be. And unfortunately, the temptation is to try to fight against it rather than recognize, and accept that voice as just another side of yourself. Doing so can be, paradoxically, liberating. Sometimes what you need is to be able to let yourself fail, but not beat yourself up about it. Some days just suck, and that's ok. It's not about the days when you fail. It's about picking yourself up after. As long as you pick yourself up and keep going, that's what matters.
I have watched many reactions to this and when I saw you were doing it I was excited and looking forward to it. And you didn’t disappoint. Your thoughts and insights and appreciation for art is inspiring. Thanks! He has a lot of amazing content. Chalk Outlines and Sick Boi are at the top of my list.
This the first time I heard this. I didn’t get beyond the first minute or two of this video before writing this comment. It is absolutely brilliant. This is reminiscent of the theatrical production of “Pinball Wizard” all wrapped up in a 9 minute song with a single classical acoustic electric, and one man poetically playing two parts of this insane musical broadway play! Just wow, “brilliant” doesn’t even capture the essence of what Ren has done here. Crossing musical genres and theater and blending them in such a way to take the listener on a complete musical odyssey in the span of a 9 minute and change song! Bravo!!!!
Fantastic reaction as I knew it would be as soon as I saw it pop up on my feed. On your own time or on the channel, you'd love more of what Ren has done - be it more of his storytelling Bardcore (The tale of Jenny and Screech - three songs that need to be listened to on order, Jenny, Screech and Violet) or his incredible oldscool inspired bars (The Hunger, Genesis, Power, what you want) or his band The Big Push (Man's world, I shot the Sheriff, Bongo Bong). Do it all. He's amazing.
well said - "show me that music can't save lives and I will show you this" This has been one of the most impactful pieces of art I have experienced. I have watched over 50+ reactors (seems like more) and I really appreciate those that have a discussion like you did here. well done.
This guy makes you think deeply about what he is saying and what he is saying is seriously meaningful………….as someone who really struggles with Hip hop and rap this is irresistible. Brilliant!
If you're looking for songs that are emotional, angry, raw, honest, and incredibly artistic across a virtuosic range of styles, you will love Ren. Great reaction.
PERFECT react. I just enjoyed watching your facial expressions! You didn’t pause at each sentence, you really let the idea sink in. The bigger chunks is the way to go for this.
I love this man sooooo much and I am sooo glad the world is finally recognizing this man because he is such a pure and unique person who is super talented. Thanks for checking him out
Great reaction! New sub here. Ren is a true artist. Other songs: 1. Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version) 2. Sick Boi 3. The Money Game part 1 and part 2 Just look through his catalog. He's independent. Be sure to go to his page and like/subscribe to help him.
The fact that he let's all the imperfections shine through, like you said, the raw sounds, unpolished, just speaks to how he thinks, this is a song about raw feelings, it can't be polished. Amazing artist and actually I was curious to see your reaction knowing you are such a "sucker" for technical details and here it's so stripped down, but as usual you didn't disappoint, sir. Great reaction.
Im coming back to this video to thank you for exposing me to this song. I found you as a ST fan when i was hungry for any and all Sleepy content. But then you posted this and it took me a couple weeks to finally watch it. From there i fell into the Ren-hole which helped me along on my journey of healing that i started when i found ST. Today, Ren is my son's favorite artist, and we get to share our love for his music while we wait for the rest of his newest album to release. TLDR; your channel is doing such great work. Thank you 🙏
Aaaah thank you so much for this kindness. Really grateful for the support and so happy to hear that you and your son can share in this magic together. Please say hi to him for me.
You say correctly, the way this message was delivered is something we need right now… and it is especially significant for those facing their demons head on, through illness
Hi Chase it's been a while since I made a comment on your channel. I haven't watched any other reactors do this I WAITED FOR YOUR GOOD SELF simply because IMO if anyone can appreciate and do this performance justice it would be you. Your words were bang on as always. Just my opinion again HI REN GENIUS.
This was a truly powerful commentary. It made me relive my first reaction. This is transformative. It is saving lives. As to what you said we need today, Ren does all of that. You have found someone truly special today. There are no misses in his back catalog.
I got to know Ren's music and his message through a channel like yours, dedicated to commenting on music and exposing it to an audience that otherwise wouldn't reach it. It's time to thank people like you for the work they do in favor of non-commercial music. Thank you.
Thanks Chase! This is ART with one of the most POWERFUL messages I've seen delivered in a long time. I think this is one of the rare few videos and messages that deserve the hype and widest possible distribution. For the very reason you mentioned... It will save lives. The aria at the climax to the song is as uplifting as I've ever experienced. Different art/theme/concept than SHOEMAKER, but brought a similar response from me...tears of 'release'. SHOEMAKER released a thrill of emotion. HI REN released a spiritual awakening and a flood of tears, nearly sobbing, and alarming those around me. Powerful to the third degree. Thanks again
Every reaction video regarding this song is always met with stunned silence. I must've watched the original video at least a hundred times and each time I am in tears.
You got ren on the first listen. The save lives is true, saved mine and created a community of people who live his mantra and look out for each other. Going to deep dive into your ren reactions and hope you listen to his 1m subs vid
Thank you for this reaction video. It made me quite emotional - almost the way Hi Ren itself did when I watched it for the first time. I saw a lot of my own emotions mirrored in you - and then you managed to put them into words! I ended up subscribing to your channel, and I'd love to see more Ren reactions from you! He's an immensely talented artist and storyteller, and does he have stories to tell! I don't even know where to start. I think I'd like to point you towards some more of his songs which stand for courage and vulnerability for me: Heretic, Chalk Outlines live with Chinchilla, Depression, Dominoes. There's a lot more to Ren - he's a modern minstrel, a rapper, an amazing instrumentalist and singer. As far as I know, Ren was signed with Sony in the past, but they dropped him when he got severely chronically ill. He went through a medical odyssey of misdiagnoses. Right now, he's in Canada for treatment for lyme disease.
man. you officialy become my number 1 Reactor of Ren it's the third one from you of him and your comment are ALWAYS on the spot a big big thanks for your reaction Ren is realy a Genius and sorry for my english i usualy type in french
Man that reaction really did this work of art justice. Seeing you lifted with the joy of the last section which echoes the opening vocals was fantastic. This piece always leaves me breathless from the journey from start to end. The tension that is held for so much of the song releases with the closing vocals and I am carried on a wave of hope. Then the message at the end, which for me is part of the whole work, gives us context from Ren’s perspective. As you say this will save lives. A light shines in this dark world and that light is Ren! We all have battles to face. Some are big, some are small, but they are all important. We are all RENegades. Let’s relearn how to be good to each other again, because we need each other. As someone much smarter than me once said “No man is an Island.”. One last thing. I think that this is the best reaction I’ve seen to “Hi Ren” by a long way. Peace and respect, Brother.🙏🏻🏴
This is a truebedore of the time. And , a court jester. The man took his guts out and laid them on the altar. I wish him every strength. And more important, l wish him joy.
Iv already watched this reaction but had to start the Ren journey on your channel again. He really is amazing and so talented. He and Sleep Token, plus Chinchilla & Sam Tompkins make me so proud of the U.K. 🖤
Some Ren songs are like this, a lot are not. The integrity, authenticity and lyricism is a constant through all his genres though. Enjoyed your reaction, you are always knowledgeable and take time to articulate your thoughts.
So glad you did a reaction to Hi Ren. This is not my 'first go-to music' , but when I saw it a week ago I was and still am, so impressed. The story telling of this kid. I believe every word he says and he made me cry (I think I say kid, because I have the strong urge to protect him like I would protect my son) I follow him on insta and he is so incredibly talented. What an amazing artist... The song will stick in your mind for days
I'm the same as you Anne - I wasn't compelled to click on it and watch it, but I did eventually and I was blown away - I cried years and years of tears in a few minutes 😭 It really needed to happen. I was hooked on Ren, and like you felt this intense pride and motherly urge to protect him. I love ALL of his music 🎶 I've even become a fan of NF, and Tom MacDonald too.😮 😅 Ren has healed me more in 2 months than 2 decades of psychotherapy. This man (and NF) are saving lives ❤❤
@@Lynnie_14 @Lynda Reid pfff and I shoke up every time, when he sings ' f*ck you I don't need you, I don't need to hear this' the emotion in his voice there... Ooph and of course tears everytime when he stands up... I am going to check Tom Macdonald, I trust you okay? 😂 Good music is good music no matter the genre, right?
The lights are even brilliant themselves. In addition to flashing for the demon, and not flashing for Ren, he is sitting at slightly different angles, for left and right, so when Ren is speaking, his face is fully lit, but when the demon speaks, you can't see the face as well. This lets the animated nature of the demon come through, nearly in silhouette, and lets the more tender expressions of Ren come through as you can see right in to his eyes.
Great reaction! I believe you should hear his whole catalog. It really is breathtaking. But: The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full), Chalk Outlines (live), Money Game 1&2, The Hunger, Genesis, Power, What You Want, Diazepam, Love Song 1,2,3...
What an interesting, empathetic, and conversational reaction. Not only did you "get it" you made sure to express your thoughts clearly so others who may not be as familiar with the subject matter could come along for the ride. FANTASTIC REACTION. @Chase Cameson, you got a new sub.
I’m so glad you did this one, Chase. I too was seeing this coming up on all my feeds and had a gut feeling that I should watch the original first before watching a reaction to it. This piece hit me at the absolute deepest part of my core. Without warning, I had tears rolling down my face when he stood up and delivered the line “some people know me as hope, some people know me as the voice you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope.” When that incredible vocal belt followed, it was so unexpected and powerful that I felt like my chest opened up and my soul was bared. I’m not usually one for hyperbole, but I can’t find other words to capture what this did to me. I have had a wonderful life, but have also ridden the pendulum of light and darkness since I was 11. This spoke to me on a level deeper than I could imagine when I clicked play. You are right, this will save lives. If this were the only thing this young man did in his life, it would be enough. I have never seen anything like it, and honestly I am still somewhat reeling from it over a week later. What an absolute masterpiece. Between this and the Lorna Shore trilogy, I’m not sure how much more I can handle. What a time to be alive. Hope you are well and taking care of yourself, my friend. And once again, thank you. These reactions you do matter, probably a lot more than you know.
Fantastic reaction and message. I can say with 100% confidence that this song shook me to my core. If you ever decide to go down the Ren rabbit-hole, there's so much good stuff, and he tackles hard issues in such a creative way. Lightning in a jar, man.
I was floored by your reaction. I've watched so many that I don't expect a reactor to find new ground, but you did. Thank you for your thoughtful and grounded response.
I loved your commentary and theoretical observations! But also I really appreciate the fact that you recommended other reactors! The more intelligent commentary I hear, the more I want to hear. It's such a fun way to learn and find new music. Thanks for doing this!
Chase: *pause* "Wow. Yeah. Tell me music can't save lives... and I will show you this." *unpause"
Ren: "So cower at the man I've become when I sing from the top of my lungs. That I won't retire, or stand in your fire, inspire the meek to be strong"
I don't think I've seen a comment during a reaction be as on point as quickly as that before.

Add producer to that list😂❤
You also forgot that he’s a true bard and a real troubadour! 😊😅😂
You can say artiest 😂😂😂
This one is special...important."
Exactly.
He is a gift.
He is a real life bard. He’s so good! A true artist. And this is a masterpiece.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the look of shock and awe on your face whilst trying to comprehend what you were experiencing at the beginning I also loved how much it shook and moved you deeply.
TRUTH!
2 takes meshed together, 4 takes total.
@@lanmandragoran8337how do you know? I'm so interested in his process!
Thank you so much. I can’t wait to explore more of his work. 🙏
Bravo!!!!
I love brilliant minds such as yours reacting and commenting on Ren's art. Remarkable is right mate. Ren is a special one. Cheers
"Music is an art form"
My man....Just wait until you see more of Ren. Every song is a new surprise. Its insane.
Oh man, this is going to be great! Ren is an amazing artist
Great reaction!!!! The tales of Jenny and screech trilogy is a must!
Being reminded that art isn’t dead is this bizarre cycle for me
Chase, thank you for your most heartfelt reaction to Ren's art. John Gates' comments were spot on so I will refer you to John.
OMG Your smile at 2:56! That's so wonderful. The first bit of catching on, and it's such a great smile.
well said - "show me that music can't save lives and I will show you this" This has been one of the most impactful pieces of art I have experienced.
Absolutely amazing reaction! The Ren Rabbit Hole runs very deep and it’s a journey well worth your time. Welcome aboard brother Renegade!
I love this man sooooo much and I am sooo glad the world is finally recognizing this man because he is such a pure and unique person who is super talented. Thanks for checking him out
you and justin hawkins are my favourite reactors on youtube, glad you appreciate his stuff too
That puts me in extraordinarily good company. Honoured. Thank you.
Great reaction! New sub here. Ren is a true artist. Other songs:
1. Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version)
2. Sick Boi
3. The Money Game part 1 and part 2
Just look through his catalog.
Perfectly imperfect. 🙂
I've been checking daily over the past two weeks, knowing you'd find Ren, or his music would find you.
Ren is on another level. He is raw, versatile, honest and fun. Welcome to the Ren rabbithole 🖤
“It comes from somewhere… honest.” After watching these for 3 months I’ve found my favorite. Excellent reaction❤
Wow thank you so much for the kindness and support 🙏
prepare to be changed
You say correctly, the way this message was delivered is something we need right now… and it is especially significant for those facing their demons head on, through illness
Nice! Love the new song, Ren! Can't wait to hear more from them.
Ren....🙂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hi Chase it's been a while since I made a comment on your channel.
I haven't watched any other reactors do this I WAITED FOR YOUR GOOD SELF simply because IMO if anyone can appreciate and do this performance justice it would be you.
Your words were bang on as always.
Just my opinion again
HI REN GENIUS.
Thank you.
I have listened to so many reactions to Ren, but by far this is the best yet. Thank you.
This is what incredibly kind of you. Thank you 🙏
Well said, I've fallen down a rabbit hole watching first time REN reactions. Really enjoyed your take.
Ren is one of those once in a lifetime fellows. Pure art that comes from hardships.
I think I'd like to point you towards some more of his songs which stand for courage and vulnerability for me:
Heretic, Chalk Outlines live with Chinchilla, Depression, Dominoes.
There's a lot more to Ren - he's a modern minstrel, a rapper, an amazing instrumentalist and singer.
As far as I know, Ren was signed with Sony in the past, but they dropped him when he got severely chronically ill. He went through a medical odyssey of misdiagnoses. Right now, he's in Canada for treatment for lyme disease.
man. you officialy become my number 1 Reactor of Ren it's the third one from you of him and your comment are ALWAYS on the spot
a big big thanks for your reaction
Ren is realy a Genius
and sorry for my english i usualy type in french
GREAT reaction Chase! Love you man you are amazing!
Aaaah man, gonna make me blush over here. Appreciate it 🙏🙏🙏
Man that reaction really did this work of art justice.
New sub....more Ren please esp the live performances with his band...The Big Push!
3:38 I love that I can see your excitement just building here!!!!! ❤❤
🙋♂️🙏
This is a truebedore of the time. And , a court jester. The man took his guts out and laid them on the altar. I wish him every strength. And more important, l wish him joy.
I have waited to see your reaction....its rare to see you speechless and enthralled totally!! this Masterpiece has that power!!!
I've seen a few dozen reactions to this masterpiece now, and Chase, damn, you and I had nearly identical reactions.
Peace Brother!!
Thank you for the kindness, Joe 🙏🙏🙏
Iv already watched this reaction but had to start the Ren journey on your channel again. He really is amazing and so talented. He and Sleep Token, plus Chinchilla & Sam Tompkins make me so proud of the U.K. 🖤
Thanks very much for this, Chase. Ren is doing a wonderful service to all of us in reminding us to be human.
Wow, what a great reaction and analysis, thank you.
This was the most visceral and thoughtful discernment of the video. I am so happy you didn’t see Ren before reviewing Hi Ren. Kudos
This piece made me stop a beat and reflect. A thing of beauty. Thank you for this reaction.
An amazing dissection of the art.
3 minutes in and that 'wowzer' Chase grin appears! Bang on reaction fella, this is pure genius performance art 🤟
I feel like I can see every thought you are having in your body language. It makes for a really great reaction video.
You are a sensible, aware person! Thanks for sharing Ren love
This is an autobiographical story telling with music.
I enjoy every reaction video as they get further and further into it before that first pause. It's overwhelming and beautiful and intense.
Love you man. Thank you for your reaction you got a new fan . You don’t understand how your reaction made me feel
Really glad you enjoyed. 🙏
I love ALL of his music 🎶 I've even become a fan of NF, and Tom MacDonald too.😮 😅
Ren has healed me more in 2 months than 2 decades of psychotherapy.
Thank you very much for the support and for the kind words. 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Ren is the masterwork of a generation. Thanks for this video. You have a new subscriber.
It most certainly is. Thanks for the support. 🙏
Your outro was so beautiful, I had to subscribe. Thank you for what you do, and highlighting such an amazing artist.
I knew this was likely coming, but it still got me excited to see it was premiering tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Ok, best reaction so far. You should be far more well known. Thanks for sharing.
Won-der-ful reaction to a beautiful and important work of art
Fantastic reaction and message. I can say with 100% confidence that this song shook me to my core. If you ever decide to go down the Ren rabbit-hole, there's so much good stuff, and he tackles hard issues in such a creative way. Lightning in a jar, man.
0:01 goosebumps.
Yes. 100% yes!
"This needs to bleed authenticity and bravery..."
Excellent point! And it works!
I was floored by your reaction. I've watched so many that I don't expect a reactor to find new ground, but you did. Thank you for your thoughtful and grounded response.
I’m am genuinely so very appreciative for the time you’ve taken to not only watch and support this video, but to comment with such knees. Thank you 🙏
I loved your commentary and theoretical observations! But also I really appreciate the fact that you recommended other reactors! The more intelligent commentary I hear, the more I want to hear. It's such a fun way to learn and find new music. Thanks for doing this!
Wow thank you for this Lindsey, Really appreciate the support/ Definitely doing my best and grateful you took the time to watch.
I've seen the song when it was fresh (yt algorithms are well trained - bring good music to my door) - but now came here to check on your reaction
