Remove These ANNOYING BMW Features With BimmerCode (for F Series BMW)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 чер 2024
- I love, LOVE, the F Series BMW but they have a few annoying features from the factory so I'm going to show you the ones I had to remove (using BimmerCode). Granted, what’s considered annoying is super subjective but, for me, these had to go.
All you need is an OBD scanner (I use VeePeak) and a BimmerCode license and you can make your otherwise amazing F Series BMW slightly less annoying.

you and your son have a killer duo!
Thanks brother! These cars are definitely a blast. Thanks for checking out the video 🙏
really enjoyed the video man. super helpful. hopefully some of the coding translates to my f97 because i'd love to do pretty much everything you did lol
Thanks brother, appreciate you taking the time to watch 🍻 and yeah I think it should be relatively similar 👍
Coding to fold mirrors when locking is the only coding that I’ve done on my F82. Gotta go play around… 😊
That's one I really need to do.. I never remember to fold them with the mirror button.
“Editing is cool.” 😂
Never even noticed the backup camera warning ⚠️. I might turn that off now that you mention it. I previously turned off the seatbelt ding and start up idrive warnings.
Also changing the notification rings to Rolls Royce tones to class up the joint 😂
Also, I coded the cameras to stay on. Like the front bumper side cameras so you can see if you’re hanging in someone driveway when parallel parking.
They stay on even when driving (I think because I enabled video in motion). Gotta be turned back off manually with the button on the console
ooh I like that camera one.. I extended the speed before it kicked off but I like the idea of making it completely manual. Gotta try that RR chime. Always appreciate the comments brother! 🫡 🍻
@@jgo.m3 also wanted to mention, I coded my rear running lights to always stay on. I love how the outline of the taillights look while on.
Ooh I wonder how that would look with the GTS style lights 🤔 might have to give that a whirl.
awesome video i ordered that obd2 plug as i was watching. i put some racing seats in my m4 and i need to code for the factory seats being removed. any suggestions?
Thanks bro, much appreciated 🙏 which ones you go with? I saw a thread on that on bimmerpost: f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1602136

Hope that helps 👍
If you push the Unlock Twice on the Key Fob it will unlock all doors. I've disabled the passenger seatbelt warning. It would often be activated by my gym bag on the seat, or my dog.
Kinda crazy you mention that about the seatbelts; I was driving today with a small bag (that couldn’t have weighed more than a pound) and my phone on the passenger seat. The added weight of my hand when I went to grab the bag triggered the seatbelt warning. I’ve had the car for 3 years and that’s never happened. Wild stuff.. also getting coded out asap cause it was super annoying lol.
HEY BOYS , FOR SALE BIMMERCODE PREMIUM -100 EUR
Hey there question: For the cold weather warming, I noticed that I can turn it off for when the car starts up, but when driving it still goes off if it's cold outside. Is there anyway to COMPLETELY remove that utterly stupid warning?
Hey brother.. funny you ask because I just learned the other day something which might contradict my video. I read that you actually need to set the value to active (aktiv) for the temperature warning to be disabled. This is interesting because the car in the video (2018 M3) is set to not active and I haven't seen the warning since. As a test, I set my 2017 M3 to aktiv to see which one is right but so far we haven't had a cold enough day to trigger (closest was 37F exactly and neither of them went off).
I'd say if yours is "not active" try switching it to active and see if that works.
awesome thanks but for some reason
i cant access the headunit on beemercode any ideas?
@M3_YAS_MARINA_AUS Did you install an aftermarket CarPlay license? I read (from the website I bought mine from) that BimmerCode might not be able to read the head unit afterwards. That's the only instance I know of which might cause that.
Have you done the rear euro fog light mod yet?
Haven't done that one yet.. I'm curious if it'd work with GTS style tail lights. I've been meaning to look into limitations of coding with those lights (if any). Did you and, if so, is it worth it?
Lil late to the party, just picked up a 2017 m3 with 49k miles. Bought the same obd reader and bought bimmercode. The process of connecting it is what confuses me. Do I just turn on the car? No ignition or just have the battery on?
First bmw if you can’t tell, only ever own jdm all my life😂
Congrats brother! 🍻 that's great mileage. Yeah, just put the car in the on position (accessory mode) and you should be good to go. Depending on how long you are using the app, you can plug in the seatbelt so the car stays on and hook up a battery charger so it doesn't kill your battery.
jdm = my first love
can you change startup animation with this ?? thanks.
Yep, you get a few different startup options
What camera setup do you use for videos? Thank you.
Hey bro, for the past few months I've been using a Canon R6 mkii with the 24-105 f/4 L lens. Before that everything was shot on a Canon M50 mkii.
@@jgo.m3 Thank you for the info. Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated brother, thank you! 🍻
I think a good one to do as well is full screen apple carplay
@@andrew-f8xdefinitely. My aftermarket CarPlay license said it was already full screen but I would have done that first thing if not.
Disable auto start/stop - Easy access to reduce bolster ware - turn off radio when opening doors - door handle lights when reversing - the list goes on and on 😂
Yeah man, ENDLESS options.. it's insane. I dig the door handle reverse lights idea 👍 Thanks for watching! 🍻
@@jgo.m3 I didn’t realise Nardo was your sons - no offence but I think I prefer his, as I love the colour and icons 😛
Zero offense taken bro. Nardo Grey is an absolutely beautiful color. I’ve liked it since we got the car but I’ve really come to appreciate the uniqueness of that particular color over the past few months. The DCT is a blast too 🤘
@@jgo.m3 I’ve got a Sakhir Orange F80 - been following your channel from the beginning and enjoyed the journey 👍
Nice! SO is an awesome color.. especially when the sun hits it right.
Thank you so much brother, really appreciate you coming along for the ride 🙏
What is his exhaust setup?
M Performance exhaust from the factory. I would swear dps have been upgraded but they look stock.
can you do all of these but with carly?
I would guess so since these are mostly basic features but I’ve never used Carly.. early on I read some people say they had issues so I went with BC.
@@jgo.m3 I have both Carly and Bimmercode. Carly does built in coding but has no Expert mode to be able to get granular. I coded in Easy access where the seat slides back when you open the door and shut down the car. Great with how big the F32 doors are. Cant do it with Carly.
Why do people pronounce it "BEEMERcode" when it's spelled "BIMMERcode"? (you're not the only one)
It's like this: "bimmer" is for cars and "beemer/beamer" is for bikes. But when it comes to pronunciation, I think bih-mer sounds ridiculous and can't bring myself to abide. Ergo everything is "bee-mer" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@jgo.m3Yup. I've been driving Bimmers and riding motorcycles for years, but never owned a "Beemer" . I realize a lot of people may not know the difference but the name of the application is Bimmercode not Beemercode.
