I agree with you, it's a pleasure to the ears on quite an unbelievable level. It's a shame that I can't understand the words though 😔
Beautiful voice and song. I would love to visit Finland.
one of my biggest regrets in my life to not visit lahti about 15 years ago for a world track & field meet. while training tore rotator cuff on throwing arm. knew but one person in finland, a young beautiful girl who i'd met on the north sea coast in england. many years previous. i'll never forget her. we do what life dictates. sad regrets.
@@jerrylyons9279 Hope you are doing well. I know what you mean with that story. Regrets are hammering my heart too.
sorry to hear that. daily, i do physical therapy to overcome non invasive surgery,. are you an athlete, what country is your home? i admire the proud finns, they're the only country to ever repay ww-2 debts to usa. maybe catherine morley would have a finnish beer with us. ha.
@@jerrylyons9279 "we do what life dictates" sounds like some basic phrase but, once you really start to think about it, seems to be a truth humans fear to accept. It's a seemingly endless cycle. Going to work, doing some work at home, sleep a bit and then go to work again. And it slowly drains all energy from us. You inspired me to write something again. Thank you. May your path always be free of obstacles and filled with sunshine.
Welcome
Absolutely beautiful. I'm now learning this song.
Brother, suggest some tips to learn Finnish
@@Dimensions--xg7kn I'm not learning the Finnish language. I'm only learning certain songs that I like. If you want to learn Finnish I'm sure you can find a course to suit you.
These beautiful songs are the perfect soundtrack while reading fantasy books, so incredibly lovely
Hyvää joulua! Danke für das wunderschöne Lied

Beauty.
Sweet Voice and Beautiful Music. Bonito.
Miss, your voice is a lullaby to a lonely drunken fella.
You can stop drinking if this be your desire. Drinking is not the easy way . . . . it is the hardway, Billy.
I love this

So calming :> Greetings from Germany!
Such a beautiful song!!!! ♥♥
❤❤❤
I took a dna test and i am part finnish! I am trying to learn of my heritage. Thank you for the beautiful songs
Slaikkiz. Yes i am American. Both of my parents were adopted so i knew nonthing of my heritage for 32 years. I am trying to make up for lost time.
Did you use 23andme?
Your last name is German though, so you most likely also have German in your heritage^^ (Klein is a typical last name here, it means 'small/little')
well.. Many 'muricans have finnish blood.. We did travel after dream of gold there and many, many stayed. Nothing to be surprised about If one knows even a tiny bit of history. I'd be surprised if a native fin had american blood. We don't wanna mix with your kin nowadays. I think it's something to do with the IQ levels
@@Windmelodie if her parents were both adopted, her last name doesn't say anything about her ethnicity.
you are the best. thank you for sharing these songs with unworthy souls like mine
I know mine too.
No... you are as worthy as all others. This songs speaks about 'why dear did you forsake me?' She woke up sad
early in the morning (varhain aamulla)
But we don't want to forsake you :)
Anyone who knows how to appreciate this canot be unworthy!
amazing thank you and group
This is just so beautiful! And I know only one word from the lyrics but the music still touches my heart so deeply. I would love to learn Finnish one day 🥰☺️
Thank You So Much Merja :) Kiitos Paljon :)
This is such a sad song. I had something similar to me when I was 19 years old. It wasn't just unrequited love or I'm going, it was more like, "How dare you." I was naive. From the song:
Riemuiten annoin mä sieluni sulle
Miksi sitä et huolinutkaan?
Y I K E S ! Very sad song and love is not always a good thing.
Perfect to usher in the winter solstice! :)
+Ostsol
Happy Solstice! Tomorrow the day will be one rooster step
longer (my grandmother used to say that) :)
Danke.....

Hola sra bonita como esta saludos desde tijuana
I don't understand but I love this song 😍 ♥️
It's difficult to explain the whole song, but mostly it's about a woman, who is forsaken by her loved one.
My kingdom for Tarja Turunen singing this beautiful song.

Ihana!
I'm ashamed to find one more song from Sibelius that I haven't heard (I'm finnish)
First thing that came in my mind was a morning after the news of fallen loved one in 1939-1945
My dear try to hear" Kuoleman joutsen" of Sibelius it is beautiful.
Halusin vain sanoa... on kaunis Jean Sibeliuksen sävellys "Tuonelan joutsen".
The swan of Tonela.
The swan of Tuonela.
Sounds like something I would here watching a movie about the winter war
What is the best most accurate app to learn Finnish , swedish language dia? Anyone know?

I’m looking for a Finnish song that somebody once showed me, I can’t find it. I believe it talked about death, or love I do t remember. She told me it was a famous song among the Finns. I remember the UA-cam video showed swans. I really don’t know if the song talked about swans. I’ve searched Finnish swan song but that is not it. Pls help!
Joutsenlaulu?
Finnish song that talks about death and love, swans involved... That describes only about half of Finnish songs =D Was it folk or what type of music?
Oh my goodness it was joutsenlaulu! Thank you very much. Greetings from Chile!
