    Wonderful video! Thank you very much, Søren! So glad you and Musen could go out again and she appears to be fine. You had a tough month, that's why you had that pain...I also had problems (back pain) when going through some rough times in the past. Wish you and your loved ones all the best!

    I spent my teen/young adult years helping my Grandad cut firewood for the winter so I have a lot of knowledge about trees. That also instilled in me a greater appreciation for trees, nature, and the Earth. I truly enjoy your interaction with the natural world.

    We enjoyed watching you build your camp. Very traditionally built with the real old fashioned tools.
    I was amazed at how well the logs went together as you would slide them down from end to end. Really a great camp. I understand why you dog was so interested in going back too. Hope she remains better and doesn't need more shots. As those shots deteriorates the bones on animals as well as humans too.
    Glad she is recuperating and I look forward to seeing more of your videos too.

Although it takes a massive amount of work to achieve, your projects in the wild are second to none. Musen looks to be healthy now after a long rest and healing, thanks to the sacrifice of her "human dad". Glad to see both of you in the forest breathing in he nature again. Hi Don. Discovered and binge watched you vids for *hours* now. I learned the Prusik knot , how to build a bush chair, how to carve a spit for chicken, and much more. I also learned I never want to make that kind of roof.
    Have questions! What brand(s) of knives are you using to carve (I see a tan handled folder, about 4" blade; and a round wood handled knife, and others)? What kind of cord are you using for tarp ridgeline (the cord is black, braided, on a round spool)? Are those waxed pants? What brand? Why do you choose them (water resistant, abrasion resistance, etc)? Why a Silky Saw instead of folding, wood, buck saw? Is it because with a Silky Saw you're not limited to log diameter you can saw?
    Thank you.

    • @DonVonGun
      @DonVonGun  3 роки тому +1

      Hahaha!!! Thanks. The roof structure is fine, but laying all them rafters was a long hard work.
      Most of your questions is answered under info. (under the videos) The cord is bankline, i dont use it any more, and dont recommend it. I find it at every campsites now. Its made of nylon (plastic) and tar. Its easy to bind, but not easy to loosen, so people cut it off. Leather pants. They are warm, and takes alot of moist and is very strong. The Silky saw is the best i have ever tried, i have not tried anything that comes close to it. Use to hate sawing, now its no problem. I know the theme might be better suited for a buck saw. But it is less fun driving a fiat uno, if you have a lamborghini in the garage.

      Thank you Marta :) Unfortunately it is not my property. It is 4,6 meters wide. I will get a hot tent in a couple of weeks with the same measures. I will place it on a friends property, close to a river. My plan is to film more. ...you are welcome. :)

      Thank you :) No, the ground is sand and rocks only, there is a long way down to clay.

    Is that date part of the guy's company name? Or is it the date of make? If it's the later I would think it's too nice to use for throwing.

    question, when you were making the fire place in a previous video a while ago the was a trench under the floor going outside the shelter. What was the purpose of the said trench

    • @DonVonGun
      @DonVonGun  3 роки тому +1

      Air suction. So i won't have so much smoke in the cabin.

    • @DonVonGun
      @DonVonGun  3 роки тому
