Men I and same situation , I love my Nissan Titan , I lifted the truck big tires and many things more but I spend 400 to 450 month only for gas , 9 MPG gets …. I and sooooo close to buy one 3.0 duramax … i loveeeee my 2010 truck is hard for me 🥹
Up I'm Canuck land, but I have same truck. Mine has full bed spray liner and full floormats that cover entire carpet areas like a weather tech type. I have been getting 32-28 imperial mpg with mine, its outstanding!!!!
I had my RST Z71 Texas edition for about a yr now. I drove a lot with this truck n about to hit 18,000 miles on it. Longest trip was about 620 miles round trip. Houston->uvalde->garner state park (frio River)->San anotonio->Houston all on 1 tank of diesel. It’s a fun truck to drive very torqueeee instant power with awesome fuel mileage. Depending on how heavy the foot is my best is 36.6mpgs.
Can’t wait to get some long hauls under its belt and see what it will do. It does everything I need so far. Going to pick new camper up sometime in coming weeks so that’ll be interesting what it does
This thing tows SO MUCH better than the 5.3 as well. Just pulled my 7000 pound camper cross country and got meg's my other truck never even came close to. And the power difference is so much better
I have an Escalade ext 6.2 mpg sucks, my 19 Silverado 5.3 after leveling kit mpg sucked and now I switched to a 3.0 21 diesel I love it I been getting 24.5/ 27 city and 29/30 highway on a leveling kit 20” rims.
It’s crazy! People keep asking why worry about mpg “it’s a truck”. Why not have the best of both worlds a truck and good MPG!! Wife is sold she wants a 3.0 Yukon but idk if I’m willing to spend the crazy money they want for them. I’m trying to talk her into a Silverado 🤣 wish me luck.
I agree I like good mpg and driving a truck saves me money to mod my truck. I still have my Escalade wife daily hope to switch her to a diesel suv if I can get a good deal on a low mileage used one. The new ones are crazy high
I get why a lot of people like to console, but my previous vehicle was FJ cruiser. My dog always wanted to be beside me so she had to be on my lap. When I saw it at my LT came with a jump seat, I was happy to see that. I test drove our trucks like the Dodge ram and it had bookoo storage in the center console but only thing the center console did for me was just seem like a big bucket catch-all. When my dog's not beside me, I have storage in the top seat portion also have lockable storage below. I have yet to feel that I don't have storage. In fact I love the option that I can do something with that space other than just being some big block of plastic. Also my LT came with the letter as well. Wasn't requirement, but I took it as a boon. Z71, red line with all of the bed liner and other things. Now I am talking about 2018, but very similar. I think about that diesel as well so I'm going to look forward to your videos
I have little terriers and they love sitting on the center console lid and looking out the windows. And that’s exactly what mine is a catch all for all my crap. But it’s been that way with every truck and wife “loves” it 🤣. For sure go check one out you won’t be disappointed. And with how crazy the market is may be surprised the trade you’ll get on yours. Havnt had any issues with it starting in winter. Believe the manual says not to use the block heater unless it gets down to 0 degrees and has to be plugged in for at-least 4 hours
Nice truck! I have the exact same one and I love it. 25 MPG on the highway and 20 MPG in the city so far but I treat it like a baby. I'd like to get my jump seat out and put in a console.
THE CONSOLE WAS THE FIRST THING I HAD TO DO. CANT STAND THE JUMP SEAT. THEY ARE HARD TO FIND AND WHEN YOU DO THEY ARE GENERALLY $$$. EBAY HAS SOME BUT ITLL BE MORE THAN TRYING TO FIND A YARD WITH A USED ONE. BEST TO START CALLING AROUND.
I ordered my RST 3.0 in mid-December. It came in about three weeks ago. I traded in a 17' with the 5.3. Yesterday I went through the DIC and for a little under 600 miles my average was 30.1. I'm very impressed. You should order from Amazon a center council organizer. It hangs into the center council well. Great for sunglasses & other things guys just gotta have in their trucks. Around $20.
They are great trucks. I have not taken it down to empty yet. usually just fill up every Friday so not sure what I can truly get out of a tank but I'm guessing 600-700 miles.

Not on the fence for a 3.0L diesel, but 4x4 vs 4x2. Noticed this was in the snow and a 4x2. My last truck would was 4x2 and add ballast for winter ice/snow and only reason considering 4x4 and suffer the hit in fuel economy year round. While in FL, wife wants to move to CT...and using the opportunity to ditch the Mini Countryman and return to a truck. What do you think with CT...4x4 or 4x2?
4x4 no doubt. Wouldn’t matter where I’m at in the country. Never know when you will be traveling somewhere with the white stuff on the ground and easy to just hit the button and go.
I got the 6.2 L because when I bought my truck the 3.0 was new and there are a lot of questions and low availability I wish I had waited and got the 3.0 diesel
Had the 6.2. Really fun expect going to the pump 1-2 times a week at least for me. This tows just as well as the 6.2 did but double to triple the mileage when I'm not towing. Buddy has 6.2 bought it shortly before me and now he's wishing he had gone with the 3.0L as well. Told him time to trade up when the 22s come out lol

20 in wheels=more expensive tires. I drive a diesel, but, it costs more per gallon. You will need DEF, especially when towing. If you keep it a long time, the cost of a new DPF will offset your reduced fuel costs, so your initial apparent savings isn't guaranteed during a longer ownership. I expect the current difference in gas and diesel to increase under this new "administration". Sure looks like a nice truck, I think you improved your monthly cash flow and will enjoy it.
Agree 20” are slightly more expensive. But if you go looking for tires 20s are more common than 17s and more options. The little bit of cost I’ll take the nice look. Thought about def, I’ll have to see what it’s usage is once some more miles go on it. I’m thinking once the def is taken into account it will yes bring my numbers down but not to the point it isn’t still more economical than a 1/2 gasser. Fuel is going to increase for sure heck it’s already jumped another .20 cents since I shot the video 🤦🏼♂️. Thanks for giving it a watch and keep an eye out for more videos we will see how it does. I have a ‘21 LT 3.0L and have the jump seat. I don’t know if mines a higher than normal spec for an LT, but mine has storage in the upper armrest, and under the seat. The lower even locks. But now that I’ve seen your jump seat to console swap, I’m interested.
THATS HOW MY JUMP SEAT WAS AND IT HAD THE CONNECTOR UNDER IT FOR THE USB IN THE BACK. BEST UPGRADE I COULD HAVE MADE BESIDES THE RUNNING BOARDS AND BED LINER. WILL HAVE TO LOOK AROUND IF YOU WANT A GOOD DEAL THO. THEY DEMAND SOME $$$.
Do you feel you miss any features with the LT? I'm on the fence which model to get. I'd really like the 360 cams but not sure its worth having to go to the LTZ for that being 10K+ over LT. Thanks!
I’ve driven my buddies 2020 LTZ and it was nice but nothing was crazy different compared to this LT. I really enjoyed the adaptive cruise control but not enough to drop 10K more. Just depends what you can deal with. I’m loving the fuel mileage on this one and loving I found a LT with decent options. Just remember all the cool things will break at some point and usually it’ll be after the bumper to bumper expires and it won’t be cheap. Good luck with the new truck!! Post it up when you decide

Very happy that I bought the LTZ. The camera system is great, lane departure works very well and HUD is real nice when driving at night. Rides like a luxury car. Good luck!
Do you have a part number for the center console bro? Where can I order one? I took a road trip in my 2021 to San Antonio and it was awesome. I did average 24.2 miles per gallon!! I hit 1050 miles on it! Also think about ordering an S&B cold air intake!! It will wake that turbo up! Thanks for any info on the console!
Just uploaded a new video I went on a 850 mile trip and believe it or not got even better than that! Every time I drive the truck I love it more and more. I was thinking about a CAI but idk if ill do much if anything to this truck. just leave well enough alone on it. As for the console you cant order a complete unit from GM. I attempted to order all the parts and just build one but half the parts were back order or not available yet. Parts guy told me I would likely end up with a half built console if I went that direction with it. So I just found a used one out of a junk yard truck. They are hard as heck to find. I think I called 15 yards before I found one and it had just shown up.

Yup. I've been paying less than half that now with the diesel. The H2 was awesome! Idk if you ever have driven one. its like being king of the road. But wasn't worth the money I was spending. Ill get another one down the road but it will just be a fun extra vehicle not a daily driver.
Congrates on the truck i just purchase one too only 300 miles. I notice In the cab in Park i can hear like a vibration sound near the passenger dash area? It may be the engine sound I'm hearing, but as soon I put it in drive it goes away. Does your truck do that?

I searched car-part.com for all trucks that had pictures with consoles and then called the yards to see if they were available. It was a chore but finally found it and had it shipped. Think I call 2 dozen before I found this one. And sold the jump seat, guys still want them for lower trim models that don’t have storage so offset the cost.
Power is instant. Plenty of get up when you want it. I’m not trying to win any races but feel like it would hold it’s own if someone wants to line up 🤣.

Unfortunately I had to hunt around for a console. Called about a dozen scrap yards before I found one. They do have them on eBay but they are pricy.

Have you been using the engine block heater in the winter? Or does the diesel start and run ok without the block heater?

My neighbor just bought the AT4 with a 3 liter diesel. That truck is sweet
Looked at the GMC. Love the front end. hate the plastic around the wheel wells. Idk just looks off to me.

My high pressure fuel pump blew up at 25k hopefully yours will be good. I average 24 mpg

Called about 10-20 yards and finally found one that had it. Not easy to track down. They are on eBay also just $$

I have not noticed any noise from the passenger side. But according to the wife I'm deaf so it might be and I just don't hear it lol.
