I love watching these Premier years show, especially this one as I was 11 in 1993 and really football mad. I actually remember a lot of the goals. 43:16 really captured the nostalgia of the period for me. The way Vinny Samway celebrated with such euphoria and passion and the cheer from the crowd, plus the New Order backing music, just reminded me of real good times. Life seemed so simple and innocent then, looking back through rose tinted glasses
yeah its a great tune to reninisce over that period with. was actually used in the midlands as the theme music for the sunday division one games that were broadcast live on itv central, instantly brings back so many memories hearing it.

yep but all clubs have these days. Some day we will have happier times especially if Newcastle takeover gets finalised (Stavely and the brothers have said relegation wont matter when buying the club is concerned). I was born in 2003 so I missed the 90s however the reason I liked Pards is because we attacked teams yes we would get humiliated sometimes but the 2013-2014 teams was so fun to watch and if we hadn't have sold Cabye we may have gotten top 8 again as I think we were 6th by Christmas,

@@mrmeeseeks2534 yeah ano. My dad told me though that we were spoiled in the 90s. Wasted so much money and thought short term rather than do what Man Utd did and create sustained success. Start with a League Cup and then aim for higher. I mean in 1992 we were on the brink of League 1 and 4 years later we had just bottled the league and 5 years later we beat Barcelona. Shame we got Sir Bobby when we had went bust
@@kaihiggins725 I was at Griffin park when Newcastle beat Brentford 2-0 in the 1992/93 season and you had a class team back then. The fans you brought that day was unbelievable as well. It’s a fanbase that deserves so much better. You walked that first division in 92/93 and that was the start of Keegan’s great time at Newcastle.
@@mrkipling2201 we were spoilt. Issue is we did it wrong so did Blackburn. We spent big and didn't build strong enough foundations and as much as I loved Keegan his ego was pathetic and we got the right man too late (Bobby Robson) when we were running out of money. We could have built the foundations Everton have but sadly we fucked it. Maybe one day we will have the chance to put things right. Did you know we stayed up on the final day in 1992 when we were on the way down to 3rd Division and 1 season exactly we beat Leicester City 7-1 to win the championship. 4 years later we bottled the prem and 5 years later we beat Barcelona. Happened way to quick

United fan here looking back on what old Trafford used to be like hundreds of flags balloons scarves flares smoke bombs I vaguely remember this and yet nowadays you can’t even bring a flag on a stick into a PL ground
Camera work was bad in places. Apart from that it was a feast of nostalgia. I remember Norwich beating Bayern Munich, which surprised many people. Also names like Raul Fox, Mike Newell, Miklosko (I think his name was spelt), the late Gary Speed, the list goes on. How different football is now with ridiculous amounts of money spread around the top clubs while so many others struggle.
Is McKewans still a thing? I remember them sponsoring Newcastle, Blackburn and Rangers in the 90's but I was too young to drink. Haven't heard of them since. Never seen it being sold in a pub or a nightclub anywhere.
