You can probably use self tapping screws but in the long run I would just drill and make threads that way you can reuse bolts, I’m going to do that so I can install my single piece passenger seat whenever I need to. In other words modular seating

Did you drill holes into the frame?

On the two back bolts did you have to thread the frame or did you just screw the seat plate straight into it ?
