Very nice end result. The Los is really very nice. I built this kit from the original creators in the 80's. I will certainly build it again in the future. 😎👍

It adds nothing to the video, in fact all lt does is constantly fight the narration, the whole point of videos like this. For me at least, there is absolutely no need for it and extremely irritating. These videos are great since there is no unnecessary background music which I have to stop watching after a few moments if there is.
About Khaki Green. Before second war in Poland we used diffrent camouflage colors on aircraft. different colors resulted from production by different manufacturers. For this moment we accepting that light khaki we use on fighters, medium on light bombers and dark on medium bombers. we can only guess the real colors. the same problems we had with polish panzer force or painting of insurgent vehicles. in the war we lost too much documentation and the captured vehicles were repainted
Noone told me to use furniture spray - and just because it has a picture of a chair on it doesn't mean it can only be used on furniture. If i'm honest though, it's a cheap product that gives a less than perfect finish, so I won't be using it often
This kit is made on very old ZTS Plastyk molds. It came in 80 ties and was pretty good for its time...Unfortunelly mistercraft producing cheap and molds are worn after so many years.
glad to see thah plane finifhed. I'm currently working on three planes from that kit. I'm using kits form original manufacturer of this kit ZTS PLASTYK from Pruszków near Warsaw in Poland . This kits dates back to 1983. You should build another kit from mistercraft . You should visit their website mistercraft.eu then visit scalemates.com and see what's in a box . They rebox old Polish kits , heller , KP , Zvezda (Pe-2) , german kits , even aurora kits from 1956 !
The Mistercraft Fairey Fulmar is the old Vista kit. I have the Revell reboxing of the same kit and it looks really nice. I haven't built it yet but it is very high on my list. If you don't have a Fulmar and find the Mistercraft rebox, I would grab it (or any other reboxing if you just want a Fulmar).
Matt, I just realized you listed the Fulmar above! Sorry about that, I just plain missed it. From what I have read it got some pretty good reviews, but there are two areas that people had issues with. The wing root seam is not that great and can use some extra care or filling. The other is the panel lines in the nose are a bit off (that doesn't bother me enough to fill and re-scribe it). But for £5.00 I think it is a great value.
mistercraft's pzl 23 Karas is quite good, bought my 4th one now, gonna build this one as romanian. but IMG's PZL 42 Karas (the twin tail variant) is better.
Because the glue will bond better if there is no paint in the way - and some of these parts are easier to paint when they are in place. I do paint some stuff on the sprue like the wheels and props
If you spend a little more time, use putty and sanding stick, more knife, proper colours and do not finish with total disaster with varnish in spray it could be nice model. But I guess you chose to build it as is. I have few PZL-37 from early production (blue plastic, very good transparent parts) and quality is much better than after four decades of using this molding forms. It is simple but nice model. Most of Polish modellars had started their journey building only few commonly available models (PZL-37, JAK-1, IL-2m3, RWD-14, RWD-8, PZL-23, PZL P.11 and few gliders). Sometimes there were also Czechoslovakian models and Matchboxes in shops dedicated for scout boys :). By the way, your voice sounds very good. It was pleasure to hear you during all movie.
Well this is an affordable model kit for mistercraft but, there are some really bad ones. And mistercraft stickers also tend to soak up. Anyway, look very beautiful model!
Nice. This kit was pain in the butt for generatins of polish modellers. i kow becuase im one of them. i still remember that it was quite a hassle to get some models during the communist regime.. dammn it was a hassle to get anything. I was so proud when i got this kit back in the 80's
@@ModelMinutes oh yes,it was. even the food was rationed. so getting a model kit even this qualit was kinda special. i saw many real nice models built of that kit.
The most annoying kit I've ever built, Revell 1/72 RAF Tornado GR3, mainly the forward fuselage section and the cockpit which would just not fit properly until I had sanded around 5mm of solid plastic
The only thing I would have done with the kit is try to reselling it. The quality is so bad, I wouldn't know where to start with scratch build. However, sometime an experience likec
Many issues with Mistercraft/Mastercraft. But cheap with non mainstream models and interesting decals. If you invest double the normal building time you can achieve nice results though.
Now you have been modeling for several years, it is time for you to step up to an airbrush, there is nothing Magic about that, Start practicing on some cardboard and some scrap plastic, and your building results will take a big step Up 😀
Not so bad build of a very crude kit. The only good thing about Mistercraft is that they have rarer Planes. Beside the a bit crude paintjob and some gaps a good job of a pretty bad kit. A word to cheap Spray cans i think it is better to spend a bit more for better quality. If you fill the gaps next time this Mistercrft will be really better. In my mind Mistercraft kits are for advanced modellers to get a better result, but frustrating for beginners.
I only buy Mistercraft if I know it is a Heller rebox, because I know Heller is good. Nice work on the plane. Don't lose your will on building models, just try to avoid this kind of models. First check the model on scalemates and You will know what are you buying. I once bought from Mistercraft Caudron 714 and Aichi Type 99 Pearl Harbour, and both ended up in the trash. Not worth my energy or my time.
You're very generous. Even if some of the actual kits themselves have aged well, the "Maistercraft / Mastercraft touch" is a killer. Wrong instructions, missing decals etc. I swear they won't catch me again.
I sorry but you made critical mistake while making the model. Polish roundels - The Checkerboard with white square in upper left corner is the way it's right now. Before the war and during Cold War the red square was in upper left corner.
It seems that Łoś was an ok bomber for its time, so was pzl p-11, but there were too few of them and their time was somewhere around 1920, therefore they were a bit outclassed by things like 109s, he-111s, even hurricanes, not to mention the first spitfires and newer 109s which appeared around early 1940. After the fall of Poland, a few remaining polish aircraft was used mainly for testing and as trainers by luftwaffe or by few other airforces. Some countries did buy a few of Łoś when it came out before war, and I think it might've even inspired some early war bombers. But they were never used on any bigger scale, therefore being somewhat forgotten by history

About Khaki Green. Before second war in Poland we used diffrent camouflage colors on aircraft. different colors resulted from production by different manufacturers. For this moment we accepting that light khaki we use on fighters, medium on light bombers and dark on medium bombers. we can only guess the real colors. the same problems we had with polish panzer force or painting of insurgent vehicles. in the war we lost too much documentation and the captured vehicles were repainted
thanks for the info!
Good idea for preshading with a brush have you ever considered buying an airbrush ?
I have- it's on my wish list for the future, but I haven't got the right equipment to get started yet
Model Minutes: this model will haunt you because it was such a nightmare to build
His Intro:
:P
Wow, this models surely craves putty and a lot of grinding/polishing :\ Would have been a nice aircraft to practice it.. :)
Yes, you are right, but I really couldn't find the motivation to do that :P
Looks great!!! Also what are you going to do for the discord group build?
Thanks! I'm not sure, haven't decided yet
Ok cool, I’m going to do an airfix 1:72 scale Douglas Dakota 😊well done on the model!
@@Smk_spotting That sounds great!
Who told you to use furniture spray?
Noone told me to use furniture spray - and just because it has a picture of a chair on it doesn't mean it can only be used on furniture. If i'm honest though, it's a cheap product that gives a less than perfect finish, so I won't be using it often
That's the polish air force.
Yup!
Good job on the model it looks vary good
Thanks!
Please tell me that isn’t that awful firebrand in ur profile pic
@@obamatraore2339 looks pretty cool to me

Yeeee Łoś !!!
:D
@@ModelMinutes it came out great, but never buy with misterceaft again ok?
Polish Fury 😂
@@ModelMinutes 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
This kit is made on very old ZTS Plastyk molds. It came in 80 ties and was pretty good for its time...Unfortunelly mistercraft producing cheap and molds are worn after so many years.
Yup
glad to see thah plane finifhed.
Thanks! You can expect to see that info in the video! I've got a couple more mistercraft kits in the stash to do - an IL2, Fulmar, & D520
@@mtaylor44 Funny you should mention that . . .
@@ModelMinutes d-520 is the old Heller kit and il-2 is the old ZTS Plastyk kit (ZTS means artificial material plant )
But for £5.00 I think it is a great value.
do you wear a mask when using poly cement? nice model
Thanks! No, i dont, but I use a well ventilated area
@@ModelMinutes ok thank you i do
mistercraft's pzl 23 Karas is quite good, bought my 4th one now, gonna build this one as romanian. but IMG's PZL 42 Karas (the twin tail variant) is better.
thanks for letting me know!
I'm about to build the pe 2 finnish af from mistercraft. I hope that it isn't as bad as this.
I hope so too!
I always paint parts on the sprue before gluein them on insee you glued it then paintin why is that
Because the glue will bond better if there is no paint in the way - and some of these parts are easier to paint when they are in place.
Thanks, have you seen any of my more recent uploads?
@@ModelMinutes Just one of them (Hawker Typhoon). Completely different league than this PZL-37. Really well done.
Well this is an affordable model kit for mistercraft but, there are some really bad ones. And mistercraft stickers also tend to soak up. Anyway, look very beautiful model!

Thanks! Glad you liked it - mistercraft kits are a bit hit and miss at times
Nice. This kit was pain in the butt for generatins of polish modellers. i kow becuase im one of them. i still remember that it was quite a hassle to get some models during the communist regime.. dammn it was a hassle to get anything. I was so proud when i got this kit back in the 80's
I can imagine, sounds like it was a difficult time
@@ModelMinutes oh yes,it was. even the food was rationed. so getting a model kit even this qualit was kinda special. i saw many real nice models built of that kit.
@@chrisscalemodels5373 I've seen some great ones too, but it's a little beyond my patience level
@@ModelMinutes yeah, they had to put a lot of work in to them.
The most annoying kit I've ever built, Revell 1/72 RAF Tornado GR3, mainly the forward fuselage section and the cockpit which would just not fit properly until I had sanded around 5mm of solid plastic
Oh dear, that seems excessive! Makes you wonder why they designed it like that
The only thing I would have done with the kit is try to reselling it. The quality is so bad, I wouldn't know where to start with scratch build.
However, sometime an experience likec
it was a good chance to try and develop my skills
@@ModelMinutes I've got no doubts about it. But the experience you discribed in the vid is well known to me.
Many issues with Mistercraft/Mastercraft. But cheap with non mainstream models and interesting decals. If you invest double the normal building time you can achieve nice results though.
Yes - these kits do generally need a lot more work
This is the Russian plane you were saying about the other day
yup!
Now you have been modeling for several years, it is time for you to step up to an airbrush, there is nothing Magic about that,
Start practicing on some cardboard and some scrap plastic, and your building results will take a big step Up 😀
Airbrush means more money which sometimes people don't have .
True :(
It's something I definitely want to do . . . but I'm not in that position yet unfortunately
@@ModelMinutes after all scale modeling is about making you happy
Not about being the best modeler
Ioannis Spanos true!
In my mind Mistercraft kits are for advanced modellers to get a better result, but frustrating for beginners.
thanks, I will have to keep this in mind when I build my next mistercraft kit
I've already one but in german colours
Nice!
reminds of the time I was almost done with my airfix J-5 and applied a testros gloss coat and it completely ruined my model
sad times :(
it sucks that the hobby shops are closed, rip youre titanic and hail the planes
Haha! Yes, it does suck - i guess I gotta build what i can though
Most online stores still deliver so u could try through them.
@@obamatraore2339 Yeah, will have to see - i've got more than enough to be getting on with though
Polish aircraft of this time are a little confusing due to the fact that the paint scheme seemed to vary quite often in terms of exact shade.
thanks for the info!
@@ModelMinutes yeah I’ve got the Eduard Avia B. 534 II Serie in Polish service. Still have yet to build it.
@@nateb9768 very cool!
I know! I do normally check when I buy for myself but lots of my kits are gifts from family and friends
You made a mistake on polish insignias. Right upper part must be white, when You look at the model with tail closer to You.
Yeah apparently so, previous comments have pointed this out
@@ModelMinutes I think, that instruction has mistakes. It is a MisterCrap, oh sorry, MisterCraft 😂
dobra robota jak na ten zestaw ale kolory nie te
Thanks for watching! I do mention in the video that the paint colour isn't as accurate as it should be
Mistercraft kits can be rather hit and miss sadly, they generally need a lot more fettling to get a good result.
Yes, i completely agree - this was not one of the better ones
You're very generous. Even if some of the actual kits themselves have aged well, the "Maistercraft / Mastercraft touch" is a killer. Wrong instructions, missing decals etc. I swear they won't catch me again.
@@HkiBuzz Yes, that does seem to be a bit of a risk
Just made Mistercraft 1/72 Pogo it was a dog of a kit .
Most of them are sadly
MisterCraft the cheapest models to learn.
Yes, they are good for that
Well, It Is Cheap..., I Bought Mine For 4,-€ And I Will Use It As A Wargaming Object, For This Is The Quality Alright.
Yeah, it's great as a bit of fun
The IBG ones
Indeed
I’m not motivated to get this kit
I'm not surprised
🤣
That's $15.00
It was £8 around the time that I got it - so probably should be closer to $10
I sorry but you made critical mistake while making the model. Polish roundels - The Checkerboard with white square in upper left corner is the way it's right now. Before the war and during Cold War the red square was in upper left corner.
Yeah, previous comments have highlighted this 🤷♂️
Mistercraft kits ARE a nightmare. I Did 2 versions of the PZL-37, and some Mustangs...they are really...REALLY s*** :(
Yes, some of them are less than fantastic - I've got a review coming up though and you might be surprised by it
Model Minutes I’m looking forward to that, Matt

Polish "Łoś" means moose
cool!
this proves polish vehicles were good for their time.... other countries bought them
And "stole" them . . .
@@swietlik_v Thanks for the info!
Too bad this kit is questionable. It looks interesting but major fit issues.
