SNOWDROP - Bluegrass Ukulele Duet

- Lorenzo (Ukulollo) and I sitting high on the old walls of Lucca, Italy.
We are playing an old bluegrass banjo tune called "Snowdrop". It was apparently first recorded by Kirk and Sam McGee in the 1930's. It has since been recorded by a great many banjo players. This version is not really based on any one recording, but one I particularly like is the version for two ukuleles by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer.
It is usually played using a claw-hammer technique. I decided to fingerpick instead.
Please don't ask for tabs. There are none. We are just making it up. Lorenzo and I actually recorded it several times and each time was different.

Thanks Tim. We had a lot of fun recording this. This is actually Take 4. Unusual for me.
Haha. Thanks Pete. Yes, I didn't notice my feet tapping until I came to put the video together. I used a high pass filter to quieten them down a bit.
One word. Superb.
Thank you.
Many thanks.
Great way to start a Monday morning! How blessed you are to be a traveling minstrel. Love it.
Thank you.
We were enjoying it, yes. Lorenzo and I always seem to improvise well together.
Thanks.
Ahh, Ken - I have been away too long - wonderful, wonderful playing - an absolute joy!

My Goodness Mr. Ken that is a beautiful place! and the birds flying behind the both of you just makes it seem unreal! You and Mr. Lorenzo always seem to be having so much fun whenever you play together. I also liked your feet being the percussion section! Very Enjoyable anyway you look at it! :O)

Great! I love ukulele and like lucca. Perfect!
This one has turned out well I think, John. My insistence on not having a run through before we play something freaks out a lot of players. Lorenzo is always up for it though.
