Canon d5 mk2 -final cut software. Lens on this- 50mm 1.2l and a tokina 11-16. Love this new earthworks mic and pre too. Very transparent. Didn't even use the plugged in track. Bounce in Logic. Most important, of course, is the performance. Kris is a madman. Super humble too. The best kind.
First time I have ever herd a Uke sound fantastic. I'm sure that's a very well made instrument but it just goes to show it takes a great musician to make it fabulous. I think musicians are under rated. That was really well done.
Insane! My 15 year old daughter is going to start learning this on the uke while I learn it on the banjo. She’s good, hopefully she can become THAT good. Will post a recording once we master it.
that is unbeliebeable!!! really good job!! never seen one of those earthworks mic's before so gonna check them out now!! it seems to have a great frequency response
Tis cool. I really like it. Viseo these days may be getting too good :) I'm having trouble myself coming up with a picking pattern that sounds more banjo-like rather than uke-like.
Awsome version! But I gotta ask, is the video sped up? Its not thw speed of the music. It's the visual look. All the movements of the head and body. They look unnaturally spastic. I still love it though.
Omg that was so demoralizing, I'm still trying to finger pick happy birthday for my daughter and I only get it right one out of three times, the man must be bionic
I've recently bought a Banjolele and like the idea of playing Duelling Banjos for a bit of fun. Watches this video, looks at Banjolele, shakes head.....
Thank you so much for all the great comments and support!:)
Thank you guys! And yes it is in standard tuning.
hands down the best version of this song on ukulele that I've ever seen, love it!

Well theres the option of buying a banjolele, or you can pluck very close to the saddle for a harder sounnd.
No, of course it's not sped up. I should have shot 24fps instead of 30 perhaps.
Omg that was so demoralizing, I'm still trying to finger pick happy birthday for my daughter and I only get it right one out of three times, the man must be bionic

Anyone know what brand/model of ukelele this man is using?
+Thomas Mulholland Kamaka, I think.

That guy could make a bean tin and an elastic band sound amazing
Dang it, Chris. You've left it for me to figure out. I've already taken hours upon hours trying to do this.

Apart from your musical abilities you obviously have an amazing brain
Hold my beer...
"Dueling Banjos". Guess what? The ukelele wins
awesome
I just fell over at how fast your hands were moving!
WOW, cant even come up with something intelligent to say on this one, I think you shorted out part of my ol feeble brain, that was excellent!
Woah!!!!
Wow.
kick ass!!
He played close to the bridge which makes it sound chirpy. You can also get banjo style ukuleles (i have one of my own)
Holly Shit Fantastic can you still play this after 6years ?
I've recently bought a Banjolele and like the idea of playing Duelling Banjos for a bit of fun. Watches this video, looks at Banjolele, shakes head.....
