Monster of the Mountains- Giant Bull with a Bow, Whitetail Style
Вставка

- True monster of the mountains! After nearly a month chasing elk battling the heat, the rains, the winds and the lack of talking, we had to change to a new tactic to get a shot. After seeing numerous elk hit the water holes we found a fresh spring fed pond and built a makeshift blind and decided to sit still until something happened. After 11 hours with limited action, a giant Bull Elk of a lifetime follows a huge harem of cows right to the perfect spot. This video plays out in real time over the course of the last hour of light, as I hunt elk whitetail style with my bow.

It was probably mine sitting next to him. It was beating out my throat
@@nockonarchery😅
WOW! 🙌
Great job!
Awesome! Good job
Congratulations! Great video.
I've had cow elk walk up within 5 yards of and then smell me, and tgen all hell breaks loose, but no bulls that year. Easy to follow with lots of blood, but when their not bleeding they are very hard to track. Great shoot on the Bull Elk. The biggest rush you can get is when your standing out in the open and a Bull Elk walk up within 15 to 20 yards of you and you place an arrow right in their heart. It's called buck fever when you start shaking after the shot. What an adrenal and rush! The way the Bull Elk was bleeding and where you hit it looked like you hit the kidney based on the amount of blood gushing out.
What a tank!! Congrats 🎉
Best elk video I’ve ever seen
Love your honesty in the post shot breakdown. Congrats on an awesome harvest
Bye for now.
Loveing you.

🏹 🦌
How did he do that without a 650 grain arrow and a single bevel head?
Cool video. How far did he run
Congrats, John, what a giant!
Great bull! Congrats!
WAS a great bull, killed for fun
@@donlocke64 Still is a great bull after he is dead. Hunting is certainly fun for those who do it. But also killed for the free range organic protein, and species management. If you think these wild animals die peacefully of old age you're living in a fantasy land. His other alternatives were to be eaten alive, starve/freeze to death, or be gored to death by another bull. This is one of the quickest and most humane ways a wild animal can die.
@@whitetail.roots.89 let’s see if someone you did not know shot your dog that you raised from a pet because he pooped in their yard, would it be ok since he was in their yard, I think not.
@@donlocke64 lol... What?! Now we know you're insane.
Amazing bull.
Awesome!! Great hunt 🤘
Congrats man
How many kills are under that levitate now! Big congrats Dud that’s a stud bull!
damn! I got chills!
Fantastic! What a story you'll be able to share with your grandchildren someday! Congratulations on a successful hunt!
hell yeah!
Sweet bull. But you always shoot a giant I’m jealous. Lol. Congratulations man.
Awesome dandy for sure what head you use you could see the blood flying
Pretty sure he uses the rage trypan. But I could be wrong
Ya I know he tries a few mechanical heads definitely made the blood fly
@@frankspataro9714 Definitely. Almost went with Rage this season. Ended up buying some G5 Deadmeat broadheads. Hoping they work well!
The GOAT
That width is insane!
Congratulations on a very nice bull and great video thanks for sharing your adventure with us
Nice bull ❤❤. What state was this ?
Wow
Stud bull! What’d he score?
What hat clip lights are them
Congratulations
Prototype pack ya got there?
Monster
That was freakin awesome Dud!!!
Did you take that bull out of a trophy unit or was it private land?
Congratulations 🎉 one massive bull elk!!! FANTASTIC RACK!!! Husband is in CO & WY trying to do what you just did👍🏼🏹I shared your video with him.
This on private ranch?...high fence?
Huge bull! I wouldn't call that whitetail style. Been sitting water for game out west since the dawn of time lol
Cool! It's probably hard to pull 75 pounds without a warm-up.Maybe 60 is enough for such a beast? It's already getting dark and you haven't started butchering, are you drinking vodka there?)
Nice shot John! You might have been a little high, but the bull was still in motion when you took the shot! There’s not to many people on this planet that could make that work… 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hunting is not acceptable the animals let live in this earth
You're right Tina I'm with you..I'm really upset all the people hurt animals
@@sunshine754maybe look up the North American wildlife conservation model before you start spewing bull junk from your mouth hole
@tina1924-wt2cvyou really don’t understand conservation do you
@tina1924-wt2cv it’s not for fun and game it’s for nourishment and food for the family. This is the most ethical way an animal can die. Or would you prefer they get ripped apart and eaten anus first while they’re alive by wolves, coyotes, bears or mountain lions? Learn about the North American wildlife conservation model before you start commenting on this subject
My question is, is this Public or Private land you are hunting? Because if it's Private, then of course you are going to get a Big Bull like that, because there is no hunting pressure!
If no one has said it..I think a big rutting bull smells like a cool spice...like a musky nutmeg or something!!
That’s a pass thru on a bull! ranch fairy should be jealous! Great video John ! 🎉
I didn't kill a bull this year but watching calves running around playing was fun to watch. I got in 300 yards from a bull and two cows one morning and this one old hag of cow would not move to the timber with the bull. He was bugling at her, running up and down the hill and she didn't care at all, just kept browsing. finally the bull just laid down on the open hill side and waited for that cow to get full and wander up. He sat for an hour and it was 2 hrs after sun up before he got up and went into the timber.
Best of luck. Baby@! I'm getting dressed to take Bubs out. Stay safe dear man. I ❤️ 😍 💖 you so much
Hope it get you next time
I found a super wide really big bull with drop tines and passed him up Sept 5th and have been kicking myself everyday since he will only bugle opening day every year then he shuts up or leaves the area but i know where his wallow is i might try this next year
Money will always put you on elk of that caliber. Now the guides work begins.
Oh? Figure every guided elk hunter gets elk encounters with massive elk?
@@pennyontrackabsolutely
@@Briguy933 oh so than if someone went on a guided hunt but didn’t shoot a 7x7 it was because they missed?
@@HickorySpringsKY nice! How was the trip with Dudley? Didn’t know you went. I mean you clearly know it’s not a high fence so you must of gone right?
