I was shocked he didn’t take that first bull. The mass and character was incredible. Length wasn’t great for him but you don’t see bulls like that very often.
Every bull he has come a upon is a trophy.
If you don't live here in Arizona, then ya, I can see why you say that..but if you are really an actual "trophy hunter" ..no..they were pretty bulls..just not what a trophy hunter would shoot.

Any one of those bulls would have been damn good first archery bulls. But I do understand it’s an Arizona Tag. You’ll have other chances in your future. Still just a young buck and many years and miles ahead of you. Great video! 👍🏽

First archery hunt and you passed every one of them? You've got a lot to learn, lol. Very good production quality of the video though.
Yea this on the res? Every single bull is huge compared to anywhere else in the country.. might be the biggest set of bulls in a single group at one time..filmed ever.... the fact these are considered "meh" is mind blowing.....should of stuck em all beside the broken antler.

There’s a big difference between being close to a bull…and taking one. Just cause you’re close doesn’t mean you passed on him. Good luck!
I get what you are saying but what else do you want people to say? I archery hunt desert mule deer here in the az desert, it's basically my life.. I do struggle to say "I could have killed 8 nice bucks this year but I was chasing 2 giant bucks" bc for one it sounds cocky, and two I can't 100% say I would have killed them all..but when I put a stalk on one and have them at 30-40yds, I know that at the least..3 would be dead in my opinion..so all I have left to say is, I passed on a lot of bucks bc I wanted to kill 1 of 2 specific bucks. I'm ok with eating a tag if I can't kill the one I want..unless you are talking specifically about elk bc of the size and the fact that if everything isn't perfect, you may never find that elk.. but I still am not sure what else you would say when you decide not to shoot at something bc you want bigger?
AZ Elk tags don’t come along often enough for me to pass on bulls like that Haha, that was hard to watch. But great quality video. 🤙🏼

Cool video with a lot of action. I had locked eyes with the first bull thinking what’s going to be in the rest of the video because he was a trophy. A rolled ankle would be an unfortunate thing and can happen to anyone. However I was a little confused about the blisters, the terrain was pretty tame considering the many places to hunt elk. Doesn’t seem like that should have happened, I would guess he didn’t properly break in his boots and gradually condition his feet.

Same I love the freaks lol. He’s a lot like my only bull from last year but a couple extra points on the back end. He might have scored 360 with the mass and trash. I wonder if this was a Rez hunt??

You guys really should have hunted harder. Ha Ha. Great video and great hunt to watch from behind the scenes. I would put my money on it that you will be taking a bull real soon. I rolled my ankle five miles in one year stepping over a log. Hunted on it all week because what else are you going to do. Putting on and taking off my boot every day was a bitch as it was swollen huge. My ankle was black and buggared up for months after that hunt because i kept hunting.

have you heared of mole skin? there are some other tapes that work well to. that looks way worse then a rolled ankle.

I have never understood why a youtuber that is done with their hunt, and probably not get another tag for another 10 years or so, will not identify the unit they are in. Like sharing will ruin their chance of getting the next tag. Come on guys, share a little love with the fellows that asked what unit you are in. I already have my tag for 2023, so sharing is not a big deal.
