OMG I've had this foot in my sewing room drawer for 8.5 years, never knew or cared how to use it, when I bought the machine it came with it. Of course I just haven't looked for any instruction, however, I believe I will go play with it tomorrow and see about the darling stuff I can come up with. I'm using my granddaughter's machine while mine is being serviced and I'll have something to show her when she comes back next weekend. TY for making everything so clear.
Oh my goodness! I have had this foot for years and could never figure out how it works. Your video was so helpful! Tomorrow I am trying it again! I cannot thank you enough! PS. Did you know that on today’s date in 1842 John Greenough applied for the first US patent for a sewing machine? Fun fact for your company!
Wow. Thank you so much. I have this foot but couldn't quite figure out everything it would do. Another video online said to make sure the bobbin is in before installing the foot. I did learn this the hard way.LOL.
Do not take this wrong. But I love you. lol. your video was so well made. I had watched a couple and still was fighting with it. Now i cannot wait to play.
Hi have you tried using a fusible interfacing?, also using a tear off or water soluble backing as well really helps. I struggled a lot at first but this worked. I have plate to cover feed dogs but it kept popping off so tried covering feed dogs with polyvinyl electrician tape ensuring i leave a space around the needle hole. This works every time. The tape does not leave sticky residue and when i take it off i leave it on the side of my machine to use again. !!!! do not use sticky tape!!!! Tips Thread needle with presser foot up ensures it goes through tension disks Check using correct bobbin for your machine ensure it us wound correctly Set lower tension 3-4 is good for me but you may need to adjust depending on stitch chosen and material Ensure your sewing piece can move freely and does not get stuck in throat area of machine. Practice in smaller pieces of fabric I use 90 (14) universal needle but for thicker embroidery threads and glittery threads embroidery needles might be useful as have larger eye If am just using stabiliser i find i can use 80 (11) universal needle Hope this helps someone 😊
Hi Deborah! I have a Brother LB6800 - we have them on our site. Such a great machine! Thankfully, most new sewing machines have a thread cutter - such a great little feature!

The only thing I can suggest to others who buy this foot, if you are going to sew onto one piece of fabric, use a stabilizer of some sort with it.
So glad i found your videos. I purchased the flower stitch foot quite a while back but have not had time to learn how to use it. Your tutorial certainly cleared up a lot of questions for me.
I tried it and the results were fun, but it only worked on an old machine with foot pressure adjustment, I now have a new machine with this, I should try again - and watch this video to see where I went wrong.

I can’t even get this foot to move in a circular motion! I’ve had this for so many years I keep checking for new videos to see what I’m doing wrong but it still won’t move! I’m exhausted!
Hi, I love this turorial, very clear instructions. I would love to purchase one of these for my Singer which comes with a plate that I cover my feed dogs with which means I can't actually "lower the feed dogs". Please can you tell me if I can still use one of these feet for my machine.. Thank you for posting such an informative tutorial and thanks for answering my question in advance.. I've a brother innov is 20. When I attach the flower stitch foot the machine show up error and to use G foot for example and won't allow me to sew? Is there a way to overcome this as the machine in the clip looks similiar to mine from the back.
It all depends on what fabric you're using and what kind of stitching you're doing. To sew decorative stitches on woven, medium weight cotton, a light-weight cutaway for fusible stabilizer should work nicely.
Sherry Fradley Each "flower" is done individually, so if you wanted to make a row of flower stitches, you would have to mark with chalk and reposition your foot. Give that a try and let me know if that works!
