Adam, your ramps needing the cable tension adjusted. Safety locks should click at the same time on its way up. Easy done! 👍
Also another point when the ramp was fitted was the base reinforced

Hey, it’s fantastic to see and hear your enthusiasm for the 3 door again, I have got two project cars on the go at the moment, but I’m ashamed to admit that the one that I have owned since 2006 and I have spent more blood sweat and lots of tears for it is my Nova Sport which is an Irmscher UK special Edition that was limited to only 500 sports being built in 1985; there is not that many left these days (approximately 30-35) but I have not given it any attention since 2019 and it’s still on axle stands as I had to replace the drive shaft oil seal about a week before attending the VBOA rally that July but it wasn’t too be and I have spent more time in and on my Astra VXR Nurburgring as it’s been my daily driver, But You Adam have given me the wake up call to get back to the nova again and doing the small or relatively quick jobs on it is the best way to get back into it again, thank you mate, take care fella 👍
13:13 that tape from halfords is magic, when i worked there we used to use it to stick number plates on... used it on my own Mx5 and i can lift the whole bumper with just the plate !

For effective cleaning, try using an ultrasonic cleaner. They're really good at removing old muck but be careful because they're also good at removing paint if your not careful. Best additive to mix in the water i've found is lemon juice-what you put on your pancakes.

Adam if the lift concerns you that much buy a couple of builders acros to support the lift arms just for safety, but really when that lifts in the air its not going anywhere

For the rear left screw, put the yellow one on then use a permanent marker to colour the little bit that’s on the 6,will be perfect then!

I have a 1995 toyota trueno gtz an my steering has gone heavy I've changed the fluid 2 times made alittle difference at first but it's come back again, noticed before the first change the fuid was really dirty possible worn seals on pump or rack, I may have to send my pump off for refurbishment, its a nightmare job on my 4agze no room keep putting it off 😢

A good way to remove the old sticky tape residue and it will also melt the foam and make the glue so soft that you can just use a microfibre cloth with more Liquid Lighter Fluid on it and reduces the chances of damaging the paint work under it, I have been using “Swan” or “clipper” Zippo lighter fluid for years now to get the foam and glue off car bits and it’s also good at removing oil or grease from the interior fabric without damaging the material or foam under the fabric especially on the Older Recaro Seats that it’s impossible to find a replacement one or the material to get it re- trimmed again, it’s also a lot cheaper than panel wipe and it’s will also do a better job as well, but it’s always worth a try and have a can of it in the toolbox for any emergency’s 👍

Addams love the videos what's the tool rack u have it was behind u as I put the front plate on is it home made as far as detailing Ur cars I use soft 99 fuso coat last s a year well on mine does daily and works van good stuff apply then buff off after 5 mins. Hope u get a garage the same in your new house I'm choking for the same.

Just something I noticed Adam, I know belts do fray no matter what but looks like the oil return pipe from the steering pump to the rack is touching the steering pump belt which would obviously make it fray again.
Sierra looks so much better than Escort!! Great video and well done.

lol, great intro. I don't think I'm gender fluid but I did accidently pee on my mate once when I was drunk. He didn't wake up like and all the next day at work he thought he'd peed himself. I bought my xr2 back in 1994 for 800 quid and sold it 2 years later, just under 60,000 miles, for 850 quid. I've forgot loads of stuff from back then and I'm hoping that I forget that at some point, I don't want to say what I saw an identical one to mine going for last year. @@Charlton2010 Front one wasn't on straight and u should ALWAYS drill plates on a flat surface NOT yer legs as they can crack such a BEAUTIFUL car deserves perfection!!😊😊
You can buy an aerosol of adhesive removal called Chu-sol. My local paint shop sell it. I use for number plate tape. Toffee wheel is too abrasive.

That power steering pump looks exactly like the ones used on older VW’s, I wonder if they were a pretty universal design back then.
It may be worth considering if anyone needs one for a cossie.

Bleach you need to clean the resevour. Will come up nice and white but rinse well

Used to work at Quicks ford. Which dealer is it from? Quicks had dealers in Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Generally Greater Manchester areas.
Removing double sided tape on car trims had to be one of the worst jobs. You made it look easy though 😊
