Tails as Abed is everything. Sonic as Troy is also a stroke of genius, given that both pairs are inseperable best buddies and complement each other very well.
Now we just need to see them both sing the iconic jingle: Troy and Abed in the morning! :D

Shirley as Vanilla was so unexpected yet so fitting. My favorite has to be Pierce as Eggman. They Pringus animated his mannerisms was peak comedy.
Also, Annie as Amy and Roy as Sonic is brilliant given her obsession with him early in the show.
@El Rocky Raccoon vanilla as shirley is fitting because shirly is a mother, and in the sonic lore, she's the mother of cream. Shirly is also really well mannered, much like vanilla.
The way you animate Tails' face in this video is exactly what I would expect Abed to look like animated!

Tails as Abed is genius, and Robotnik as Pierce is so eerily appropriate it could be an alt-universe skit. Full marks and hoping it'll last *seven* seasons and a movie.
I never watched this show but seeing Sonic characters acting out moments from it still makes me laugh pretty hard. That opening with Amy really made me laugh. And whoever they chose for Eggman really fits as well, talking about giving seminars on manipulation. And the last moment with the disgusted face Blaze made was just hilarious for how cat-like the look was.

Why is Tails as Abed so perfect? For all intents and purposes they have so little in common, but for some reason *it just works*
Nah, they do have one very important thing in common.
Tails is supposed to be the know-it-all exposition. That's exactly what Abed is.
In fact, I think all the characters were picked pretty well for the show.
As a Sonic and Community fan, this is one of the best vids I've seen in a long time. I was also sad when the video was over. This was beyond incredible and I love the cast you picked for everyone, they all fit so well. Hoping and praying a part 2 happens because this was stellar. Incredible work!

Actually I think Lanolin (the sheep in the back of the first scene) is an even bigger deal considering she was literally just a background character in the IDW Comics until recently where she now gets an occasional speaking role.

The choice to have Sonic be Troy instead of Jeff is AMAZING. I feel that most people would have been like “oh, they’re main characters, obviously they should fill this role” but it fits Shadow SO much better, and the friendship between Troy and Abed being bestowed upon Sonic and Tails is fitting imo

Vanilla is such a good mom for protecting Cream like that. I always felt sorry for her because (aside from Emerl) she’s been taking care of Cream all by herself. Being a single mother is rough.
I’ve never heard of Community but whatever it is, the Sonic characters fit so god damn well in this.
Shadow being Jeff and Eggman being Pierce is amazing.

Pierce being Robotnik seems oddly fitting
Just now noticing how closely the shading and the pallette are matching the IDW comics and I love that. You can especially see it on Sonic. I also like how Tangled and Whisper are included. Pretty sure the IDW comics and stuff are fighting to become canon in between Forces and Frontiers, but it's nice to see how the fanbase accepts them as such.
I like the inclusion of all the obscure or comic characters. Really shows that this was made by a genuine fan.
I loved seeing the comic characters get used as cameos here, especially whisper, her voice was perfect and the illustrations are great as always
