Greetings Jason, Lee here, nice addition to the fleet, probably get you back to the work site faster than the tractor. Good to see that you have a plan for the future and you are working to that goal. You and your family keep well, later
We have one of these and it is an awesome machine! I put on the rear window guard that has saved the glass a couple of times. It is really a workhorse!
Thanks for the feedback. We have since added that guard as well. I am finishing a hitch for the back to run the portable winch from in the Winter. Can’t wait to try it out!
I own one and the best addition so far is the side mirrors. I also installed seat covers to protect the original interior and with the right tires, it will get you out of some tough muddy places. I can't justify the expense of the tracks at this point, but it is reliable. I don't come across a large quantity of snow like you appear to have very often or for long periods so the tracks may never be needed.
We really like ours. Should be a reliable work machine with a long useful life. I’ll put the tracks on in November and run them til April. I’m planning on yarding some wood with it this Winter!
I also expected more from Kubota. This RTVX1100C is my second one. Traded older model on this one. No problems with older one. I also own Kubota L3240 Grand Tractor and a GR2010 Guide Steer lawn tractor. This experience with the new RTVX1100C has cast doubt on Kubota's quality backing. Just imagine after 842.9 hours we have another $6,409 repair!
I just took delivery of my Kubota RTV X1140. If I lived where there was a lot of snow and I had to work out in it I would have reconsidered an open station machine. The X1100C will serve you well. I chose the RTV since speed wasn't at the top of my list, I needed a reliable workhorse. With tracks your RTV will be almost unstoppable. I hope your X1100C serves you well!

I’ve had an RTV 900 since 2004. Other than rebuilding some of the dump body (Apparently I like to drive into things) it’s been an amazing machine. No cab, but being in my mid 70’s I couldn’t maintain my property without it!
@@OakMountainAcotts : The original models had no undercarriage, completely open to the engine compartment and front end. The only protection is a heavy duty plastic shell for the bed. Tracks would be a good addition to the RTV. Are you planning on adding a snow plow for it as well? It would certainly make maintaining your forest roads in winter easier. Tire chains would be another option for added traction. Did you trade in the Honda side by side to get this Kubota RTV?
One of the reasons I chose this machine was because of the K-connect system that can be installed. It basically gives you a front mount PTO and hydraulics to run a snow blower, sweeper or v-plow. I didn't get this stuff now because I did have to draw the line somewhere on total cost. I sold my Honda and got a good price for it (pandemic effect) and that allowed me to move into this RTV. Take care! Jason
I hate mine. I have the same thing, I got it last fall. The drivers door fell off the fourth time I used it, the little "E" clip came off the lower hinge and the air shock pushed the door off the hinges when I tried to close it.
Wow, I wouldn't be happy with that! These things are way too much money for stuff like that to happen. We are having great luck so far... I have a set of tracks coming for it and want to try to use it like a little skidding tractor in the snow with tracks on... time will tell I guess if it was a good decision or not. Hi Richard, the plan for now is to use the B2601 to pull the Kranman. You can buy a k-connect system for this rtv that gives you a front mount pto and hydraulics for a snow blower and v plow. I think we will end up there for winter forestry trail maintenance to help us get to the woods!
Hey Jason, great vid! You are going to appreciate the cab and heater! You mentioned tracks are on the way. I’m interested to know what brand you chose, Camso?
Good Morning! The dealer quoted Camoplast tracks for me. They are having a hard time to source them so I am double checking to ensure this is what I get. I watched a few videos where they noted the Camoplasts were standing up well to the weight of the Kubota....
@@OakMountainAcotts Hi Jason, so my full time job, when I’m not in my woodlot, I work for Camso, formally Camoplast. I am the sales and customer service director for our power sports products, snowmobile tracks and atv/utv track conversion systems. The utv tracks, Camso UTV 4S1, are currently about a 7 week lead time upon order reception from distributor/dealer. This extended lead time is due to supply chain constraints. You will really enjoy them!
I didn't put much thought into it. I figured if this was the standard tire that came on the machine, Kubota probably did it for a reason. I can tell you though that those tires seem to get an amazing grip on ice and the treads seems to work snow up and leave a nice rough texture to freeze in on the trails. Not sure how they will do in mud but I guess we will find out soon enough! We have tracks coming next week and I will use them for the Spring break up when tires cut up the woods roads. I hate to use the snow machine on mud and then access spur roads with snow so I think the tracks will be a nice improvement!
Awesome new addition Jason, gotta love that bright orange! Did you have to wait long for delivery? Or did they have that beast at the dealer? Thanks for sharing, David and Rachel CFS
Hi guys, they had this one at the dealer. I’m not sure if the diesels are big sellers around here. I feel like the slower speed narrows the market segment. Other brands are stocked out. My neighbour ordered a CanAm Defender a year ago and still hasn’t seen it!
Congrats - your fortunate that they had one in stock. I am in the north east. I ordered ours in December and our dealer said that we are looking at a potential April/May delivery. Apparently Kubota has a huge back order on these machines. What is the name of the light on top of the cab? It looks like it might be yellow? I like the appearance and that it is not tall. Again, congrats!
@@kenmcdonaldii3887 Thanks Ken. I really wanted the camo model but they told me there would be a wait and I had already sold my Honda... that's okay though, I like the Orange too! Take care, Jason.
@@kenmcdonaldii3887 p.s. the light on top is a COB Burst/Flash Warning Light. Looks after market to me and plugs into the 12v plug in. It has an on/off switch and another for different light patterns which (I guess) is why they didn't hard wire it into a switch. I like it due to the low profile and different patterns and they tucked the wires in under the panels so it is installed well....
I have the RTV 900. Mine does not have the climate controlled cab. there are advantages both ways. Not having the cab is nice when I am in my woods. I have 110 acres of hardwood timber and it makes it easier to see to maneuver around limbs and such without the cab. I have a 3500 lb. winch on the front of mine as well. they are built very sturdy and will last a long time. I have noticed that mining locations seem to either gravitate to either the Kawasaki Mule or the Kubota RTV's. There must be a reason for that.
Interesting.... If I had any complaints it would be the top speed. I'm not a trail rider so it won't be an issue for us but I'm sure our boys will miss the speed! This cab has great visibility... much better than the Honda Pioneer that we had. These machines are definitely work machines! thanks for watching, Jason
Hi Carl, I started pricing the v plows. Kubota wants thousands for the k connect system that you then mount the v plow too… not sure I want to spend another $10k… Boss v plows are about $7k here…. Quite expensive!
Thanks Vernon, already thinking about how to mount a little portable winch on the back with a haul rack to pull out blow downs and such... Take care, Jason.
They also cost a small fortune to buy. More than my Kubota L2501. A full size Polaris would keep you plenty warm/cool at a much cheaper price. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kubota’s, but their side by side’s are too pricey for me.
You are correct, the price point is pretty high. I owned the Honda outright and was able to get a good price for it used so it made it possible to get into the Kubota. I hope it lasts for a very long time! Thanks for watching, Jason.
People who bash the horsepower have no idea what they are talking about. Diesel power is known for its torque not hp. Many manufacturers keep them at 25 horse because if they go more than that EPA says it must have DEF. So if they upped power you would then pay even more and complain about def lol. I imagine that the power ratings are understated to skirt these laws much like muscle cars back in the day!!!

Pretty cool machine
Thanks Cody. This RTV is built to work. Not much for trail rides with a top speed of 20 mph!
@@OakMountainAcotts , you did a great review Jason. I am a new subscriber to your channel.
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 thanks for the channel support. We really appreciate it!
What about a snow blade
Hi Carl, I started pricing the v plows. Kubota wants thousands for the k connect system that you then mount the v plow too… not sure I want to spend another $10k… Boss v plows are about $7k here…. Quite expensive!
I wish mine had a heated cab lol
I was out dragging trails again today... actually had to take my coat and hat off in there!
Nice machine jason congrats
Thanks Vernon, already thinking about how to mount a little portable winch on the back with a haul rack to pull out blow downs and such... Take care, Jason.
good show. i would prefer 4 wheel drive. otherwise i will check this model out thank you
Hi, just to clarify, this unit has 4WD and a differential lock. It is very slow but a real work machine in my opinion. thanks for watching!
That’s why they make Shit Box Polaris side by sides for people that can’t afford Good Quality KUBOTA machinery.
They are nice machines but with tracks on in fresh snow, it could use a little help!
Woud be real nice machine if they would up horsepower to 30 35 would be a beast.
Surprising eh? A few extra ponies wouldn’t hurt and a little more speed would be an added bonus….
@@OakMountainAcotts ye no kidn.. has real nice cab super good heater.. so anyone out there thet would turn up fir more fuel ha.. turbo would maybe wake it up.. anybody out there with a lil info? please tune in would be appreciated thx..
I love it bu 30K hurt my fillings 😅
Yeah, everything is so expensive these days. I sold my pioneer sxs for a good price so that eased the pain a little!

25 hp doesn't cut it 2000 lbs.. sorry kubota didnt do your homework..
I'm going to put it to the test this winter... pretty much like a little compact tractor with a hydraulic dump in my books...
Useful video as I am about to buy one here in NZ, no doors, air con, etc!
Glad you found the video useful! We really like our machine. Thanks for watching!
