- The i20N is old-school. (Not a bad thing!) It’s a 1.6-litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol hot hatch which can deliver 204hp & 275Nm of torque with some stiff opposition in the small hot hatch sector with the likes of the GR Yaris & Fiesta ST!

My partner took delivery of a black i20N as her daily a month ago. She is nearly my age and I am really old …. Old enough to remember when this type of pocket rocket was the norm … manual, real handbrake, pretty cheap. Madness that such a car at £25K has no competition, now that Ford are leaving this diminishing sector.
Got one of these and it's an occasion every time you drive, great fun, seriously good, but doesn't take itself too seriously, just brilliant 😊😊😊

I’ve got one! The brief was school run and fun in an environment of inflation and energy issues and little value. Just like the 70s when the golf gti was born. Yes the LSD is awesome. The Pirelli pzero are amazing but worn out quickly and rubbish in the cold. AND 5 years warranty includes track day.

Fiesta ST's are great cars, i own a modified mk7 but they are now a 10 year old car. The mk8 was a great car too but anything Hyundai seem to be putting out now is gold. A mate had an i30n and for a stock car it went like shit off a shovel and sounded the nuts

I drove a mk 8 fiesta st in march I thought it was fantastic,,
Thinking of selling this year and getting the fiesta or puma st , think I should defo try the i20n as sounds very similar
I’d have one over the st as I feel the Hyundai n division is more of a track focused division the the st? Each to their own..

Yes the suspension is firm and can be annoying at low speeds but the damping with it is brilliant. You don’t get the bouncing like a focus RS. Just doof and done. Next!

I'd have this over the Fiesta ST. I've never driven either, but every time one of these passes me I always give a second look. Something about them.

The JCW would be a better daily with the adaptive suspension but i20n would be better on track and more engaging being a medium powered manual

Yes Tim. Firstly we prefer the M buttons on your M4! How many times did you change gear on this red rocket? Your left leg must of got tired out. Automatic all days long. Especially in London eh.
