Cool to see the blue 81 Capri back at the track. I used to own this car and sold it back to the original owner mike. When I owned it it had a 351 Windsor, when mike and Dave owned it back in the early 2000’s it had a 351-Cleveland that dominated the streets of Springfield, Mo. I believe it went a 8.00 flat in the 1000ft and a 6.20 in the 1/8th on a 175 shot, and that’s with factory 4-V closed chamber iron heads-no aftermarket aluminum heads. Roller cam, factory bottom end with TRW forged flat top piston, Parker Funnel Web intake. I’ve got the motor sitting in my garage getting ready to freshen it up to go in my 86 mustang. It’s pretty awesome to see this car running again. Looks fast as hell! Awesome job!
Seeing the early fox body mustangs lined up next to the current mustangs really shows how much more frontal area the current ones have and why we have so much trouble getting good standing mile speeds.
STAY WHITE I kind of agree, the whole "secret" thing never did sit well with me. Even if they did post times it means nothing on the street and you can turn down boost, pull timing, run smaller nitrous jets to turn a slower number. I can't stand when guys try to be secretive about their engine too, it doesn't matter what it is, whether or not you can make it work is the tricky part. But it's been that way since the 60's and probably won't change.

When you rent a track for an outlaw event it's up to the event coordinator wether or not to use the lights and wether or not to display times and speed, only at outlaw events is it like this they wouldn't let these guys run IHRA or NHRA there too dangerous for one there all over the track that's a no no

The Green Bastard 42 haha i guess. Here in Idaho street racing is almost non existent and 1000hp barley exist. Our local drag strip is terrible. In a long gulley so always high head wind and 2,600ft elevation!
I get it roaches aka fox body's make a great platform but man too much of them. Starting to make these videos stale. All these videos are 95% roaches anymore.
