one of my favorite Memphis mixtapes ever made...that dark eerie surreal side of 1990's Memphis Rap...the DJ Sound, Lil Grim, Blackout, Lamarcuz, Cloud 9 production styles...their instrumentals are always so disorienting and disconcerting...it's like a low budget 1980's Horror movie in music form...Skinny is so fun and cool, his music never sounds creepy...Squeeky makes bass booming party tracks...Paul & Juicy are perfectionists...their music never sounds this odd weird strange and cartoon-ish...they may be better, but i prefer this...crazy
I get what you mean they have a dark eerie psychedelic feel to them. There’s many more Memphis rap artist that have that dark sound to them like Z-dog and A.K’s song smoke one has a eerie sound to them like the intro to smoke one has an eerie piano and there’s like this weird vocal sample that has a man making a weird sound with his voice
It's like David Lynch meets gangster rap. The best cat out of Memphis still steadily dropping music is Lil Jack, he was there from the beginning of this sound and still killing' it, and his wordplay is pretty much unmatched
Which verse is Skinny Pimp's on Da Cloudz In Me? Had no idea he was in this tape. Dope rip, better never sell this one considering it was released in like 2-3 types of cassettes and all of them are extremely rare
I could be wrong but it sounded like him in the second verse. He also says "Skinny" at 19:53 but again I could be totally wrong. I forget all the features that are on this tape. It'll definitely be going to my grave with me!
@@CR520. Yeah I don't blame you, think they pitch their voices in this track in a way you could even think Gin is in too lol. I know Killa Leon, Black Mac, Dirty D, and Hard D are in the tape, Idk about any others tho but pretty much Crucifix is in most of the songs rapping by himself
What do you want a rip of next? Might have it - might not!
Trauma Center or DJ Paul Greatest Hits
Dj big tim episode III (you probably aint got that tho)
literally anything and everything you have...LOL
@@Triple9kentuckypretty sure there was a full version somewhere
We need that 901 - Orangemound4life tape
