@@YokaiNox Ive been doing great enjoying Sunbreak with its new monsters and fantastic Switch Skills, which is so awesome! How have you been doing doing Nox?
@@romanfuchs1932 Nice ! Indeed, some of the new switch skills are an absolute blast to use ! I'm doing good too, thanks. Not getting to play as much as i'd like right now, but still enjoying it alot and looking forward to putting out more content! Though the reveal about the armor augments realy does make me question making build vidoes right now 😅
I found the video useful. Thank you. While I haven't used switch axe yet in Sunbreak, when I eventually break away from Hunting Horn and migrate to SwAx, I'll revisit this video.
after 8 years, I decided to play SA in Sunbreak, and I'm not disappointed ( except that in axe mode, it doesn't fill up the sword gauge, but it's ok ) thank you for your builds, I'll enjoy the weapon even more
nice builds! I've got a goofy one I need to refine where I'm using quick breath to remove bubble blight to get a bunch of buffs from coalesence, then stacking those with bloodlust buffs. it's surprisingly effective, considering it's a build centered around statuses yet has no resuscitate
I see that we think alike 😄I enjoy messing around with lots of goofy/unusual skill setups aswell. There will defenitely be some "quirky" ones on the channel as single build videos aswell.
Man these videos are always so enlightening~ can’t wait for a part 2 of this episode in particular, mainly cuz switch axe is really growing on me~ fast hits and hard combos in 1 weapon, lots of movement options to weave in and out of fights, and more~
Appreciate the Feedback Jeiku ! ^_^ I'm actually in te process of planning the update to this Video. It will either be a complete new Set of Builds, or Single Videos dropping for the Builds with the most changes. There's sooo much to considder now that it's actually making the process itself huge already. 😄
Very good build, very Switch player friendly. I happened to have the same x2 2 deco slot Evade Extender 2 talisman like you do. Almost every guide I see is using god charm that's impossible to get in Switch, so thank you so much. I just build the teo blast build and it's fucking awesome! R9 Teo SA is great but I can't wait to upgrade it to R10
That's awesome! Happy to hear you're enjoying the content ! Yeah since i mainly play on Switch myself aswell, i use the charms i have and show some extra options for charms aswell incase people dont have a similar one. 💪🏽I appreciate the feedback ^_^
@@ordinarynobody1022 That's no problem, you can make a different version wit with your charm aswell. You'll only loose 1 Lv of ATK boost. But you will get Lv 3 Power Prolonger insted. Put 2x Tenderizer Decos in the Talisman. Take out the Enahcer 2 Deco, and put a Quickswitch Deco in there. Take out the Jumping 4 Deco, and put a Enhanver 4 Deco in there.
Love your content, for sure gonna steal that para build, monsters don't stop moving in Master Rank! Would love to see an updated para longsword build, but because of rampage weapons not continuing into master rank, I'm not sure what would be possible.
Happy to hear you're enjoying the content! ^_^ I know what you mean..Rampage weapons not continuing has put a serious baricade on creativity for some weapons (even though we have so many options now). The perfect opportunity would have been Espinas, and giving him a para Longsword. Perhaps they grant it to us with his subspecies/variant.
Time to farm for parts lol. Also I would like to thank you for the elemental set ups. They helped me make some solid LS builds, just had to switch the arms and helm
So far really loving the para build you showcased, and I may have found another weapon that could work for it, Royal order switch axe~ what do you think?
That is one i also have my eye on at the moment. I'm realy hoping it gets an upgrade it one of the future updates, cause right now it sadly just falls behind the other para switch axes. But the design is awesome! So realy hoping for it to get it's time to shine !
@@YokaiNox you and me both~ in fact I’m enjoying the para playstyle so much I wish we had more switch axe designs to go with it, in fact I’m honestly shocked astalos isn’t paralysis type since it uses electricity lol
Great video! I'm definitely going to take inspiration from it. I have a question though: how do you decide whether or not you run chain crit on your builds? Or if you go with lvl 1 or lvl 3?
Glad you enjoyed it ! ^_^ For Chain Crit a base rule is that it has great value at Lv 1 for almost anything you'll use, and is very easy to fit into most builds. Making it one of the best extra Damage options we have right now. Lv 3 is something you should only push for if it doesnt keep you from getting other essential damage & smoothness skills for the weapon type you're using (Or if the most efficient armor pieces for what you're building make it the best in slot option). That said, where Lv 3 shines is on Builds that already have a high elemntal output, like some of the elemental builds here for example.
Great vid, it has builds that I can possibly make. Is the Royal Order Axe a decent substitute for the paralysis build or does it fall behind alot? I like the extra defense and design of it more than the others.
Thanks, glad you liked it ! ^_^ That's something i was thinking about adressing in the Video aswell. I love the design of the Royal Order SwAxe too 👌🏽Sadly the short answer would be, yes, it falls behind. But i'm thinking of featuring it in a single build video for the "Build of the week" series i had planned. Cause i'm sure there's a decent way to get good use out of it
I absolutlelty love exhoust phial switch axes and Reconqueress is my bae. I beat the whole game with this line of swax and having the ability to KO monsters is super cool. Highly recommend this one!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it ! The only way that build can be improved with a [Wex 2 / 2-2-0] is by using the Archfiend Legs, if you dont mind running Dereliction. But if you feel like messing around with things you can also use the Damascus Legs since they have Handicraft + 2 & a Lv 3 Slot, that will open up some of the other slots.
this video is amazing^^ im just enjoying base game rise right now but i'm gonna get sunbreak soon, so I wanna ask how many switch axe builds does one need(assuming this is the only weapon i play)? one of each element type?
In that case first of all, enjoy your Switchaxe Journey & Rise Cheri ! 🎉 That will honestly just depend on if you have a preference in a certain playstyle. Having mutiple elemental options can defenitely be advantageous, but isnt nesecarry. You could totally get away with just using 1 or 2 Switchaxes for base Rise. You can find options for the most viable switch axe choices in the 2 Switchaxe Build Videos in the MH Rise Build Playlist on the Channel ^_^ ua-cam.com/play/PLXiUak4x0qa6P6vh0Zi25S_6XR1x_vzSM.html
Yo Nox, I've been binging youre channel for like the pass week man haha. Was wondering do you a shared document where you can post the layouts of the vids and stuff?
First time watcher of your video and your SA build look interesting. I think i'm gonna try some of them, especially the Almudron one, to pair it with my Almudron layered armor. And good naming too for all of them. Btw, i hope you will make a video about recomended red and blue scroll combination, i think it will be interesting seeing how people use the different kind of scroll combination for different gameplay style
Happy to hear you enjoyed it ! ^_^ A Video about the scrolls and the switch skill setups for them is something i've been thinking about aswell. There's a good chance i'll make a video on it.
Hi! just wanted to ask your opinion: is Wirebug whisperer important for elemental swaxe? I noticed that most of your elemental builds don't have Wirebug 3. Cheers! Planning to use your builds as template.
Hey there ^_^ For Swaxe it's a bit situational. As a baseline, it's not a necesarry essential, but a very bonus to have if you can get it in for minimal losses or for "free". It's also quite dependent on your personal playstyle. If you you're making heavy use of the Swaxe charger , Soaring Wyvern Blade, or any of the other silkbind moves you can ofc get great value out of it. If you however utilize the morph combos propperly, you will likely not have very much need for it. (Often having Wirebug Whisperer Lv 1 can already be all the benefit you need for Swaxe) Thanks for your feedback 👍🏽
I really want to get into the SA scene, it looks really fun. However i’m having a tough time wrapping my head around the moveset and combos. Do you know of any simple guides I can follow? UA-cam seems to like giving me only 20+ minute long videos that go into ridiculous detail for every move to the point it feels akin to learning rocket science. Also, what build would you say is more comfy for a beginner like me? Currently i’m leaning towards either The Annihilator build or the Paralysis build.
I know what you mean :D i noticed the length of some weapon tutorials aswell.. To be honest the best way of learning it is by grabbing a Build that has Rapid Morph Lv 3, Evade Extender Lv 2 & some Power Prolonger. Those are the core skills to make the weapon alot smoother/more comfertable to play. Then just messing around with it for yourself in the training room for a bit before going into a hunt. Any of the first 3 Builds would be perfect for that. The most essential thing about switch axe is trying to get to amped state as fast as possible (for the extra damage it gives etc) and then mixing up attacks in Sword & Axe mode to get the most out of your Sword Gauge and to take advantage of the big damage that morphing attacks do (attacks where the weapon transitions from Sword to Axe, or vice vers). It will feel very technical at first, but once you find a few combinations you like you'll figure out wich suit your own playstyle the most. I'd recommend not worrying too much about the switch skills at first and just sticking to the basic ones untill you feel comfertable with the weapon.
@@YokaiNox Alright, thank you so much! Guess i’ll go farm mats for one of the builds and then sit in the training room for a while once I have it made lol.
Happy to hear it ! ^_^ 😄 that was mostly due to what was in highest demand at the time. Likely will be making Builds for all weapon types. Right now i'm waiting for more info on the whole Armor Augement situatioin, since it has the potential to drastically change build making.
Awesome builds! Very helpful. I have a talisman with evade extender 2 power prolonger 2 and one 2 slot. Do you think it’s worth using and swapping out the alumudron helm? What do you think would be a good option? The almudron helm is just so dang efficient for switch axe.
Thanks, happy to hear you enjoyed it! Damn..that's a realy nice Talisman you have there ! 👌🏽Since the Almudron Helm has 1 Level of Power Prolonger your Talisman is an optimal fit if you do want it at max Lv 3 (good for power phial type switchaxes). Otherwise the Malzeno Headpiece is quite good aswell with [Wex 1 /Wirebug Whisperer 2 / 2x Lv 2 Slots] You can most likely get alot out of using that in combination with your Talisman.
I really wish we had weapon layering! I haven't been a fav of the Calamitous Axe's look, and would love to put either of the Magala Swaxes as a replacement.
Completely agree. We have so many great design now that it real is time for it ! ^^ But i'm pretty sure we're gonna get weapon layering in one of the future updates 👍🏽
Dude honestly I love you build videos can you make one for the horns or the Lance because not many people are posting those specifically elemental HH and I ha e a feeling that it could be a thing
Happy to hear you're enjoying the content! ^_^ I will be doing most, if not all Weapon Types ! 💪 Things are looking very interesting for the Lance and the HH aswell!
One thing’s for sure~ on top of an improved paralysis build in your next video on this wonderful weapon, im actually curious how a poison build would work with swax ^^
Your timing is weridly perfect 😄 I was going to realse a new Video with updated swaxe builds (including a status one) yesterday. Wasnt able to finish it yesterday, so it's going live today! ^_^
My exhaust phial build for the switch axe has a perfect charm I just got last night which is Slugger 3 Evade Extender 2 with 2-2 slots works beautifully
Question, with the title update out I have a question in regards to the sea of flames builds. So you suggested the High Rubillion as a alternate to the magmadron. With silver rathalos being out and comparing the Silver Rathalos and normap rathalos swaxe, which would you consider for the build as an alternate?I thought thst higher element would be better but you would need 4-5 handicraft just to get to purple sharpness but is that worth he higher element?
A very good question, and the answer for actually alot of Normal vs Silver Rath weapons, like in this case, is that the regular Rathalos still wins. The silver requires too many things to make up for the "downsides". But it is still a good option if you'd like to use it.
All questions are welcome here ! ^_^ Yes, it would work with the Build aswell. But in terms of performance the Abyssal Torrent falls waaay behind the other 2 Switchaxes due to it being an Element Phial Type with very low Element. If it had a Power Phial it could perhaps keep up due to it's good raw, but not that way it is now ^^.
@@YokaiNox ah gotcha, think I’m gonna roll with the rathalos version of sea of flames and use the dragon element for CB since the mixed set I got for it works with both dragon and thunder~
ATM, my old swaxe build was severely outdated and was playing lance and hammer. Hammer kind of became my main but I like to switch things around every so often. I simply swapped my hammer with my old swaxe.. I think it was the rarity 10 from the thunder tree? It feels nice, but was never built around a switch axe. Didn't change any decos, so there was zero protective polish and rapid morph... 2 things that are desperately needed for a switch axe! Now I can start trying some new builds out, thanks for the video. The stun res, what is that used for, or is it simply to not get stunned from the monsters? I hear g.swords want level 3 stun res, and now in this video I see a few stun res in these, so just wondering. Thanks.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the Video ! ^_^ The Stun Res is mainly there for the addet comfort of just not getting stunned. As some Builds or Monster match ups are great for ZSD playstyle, where chip damage can actually cause you to fall off the Monster and leave you in a stunned state. But as mentioned in the Video you can ofc at any time exchange Stun Res for Speed Sharpening or any other Lv 1 Skill Deco you might prefer.
I hope you give us lance builds earlier this time I just can’t get into lance due to the lack of comfy guard centered builds to try and it’s a shame because that was the very first weapon I used in MH tri on the wii my first monhun ever
I'm actually realy looking forward to working on Lance Builds! ^_^ The thing right now is that i kinda have to wait untill we get some actual information on the Armor Augement System, since it could change Builds drastically for some weapons, wich defenitely include the Lance!
first off: Love these builds so much. They're amazing and I've been rolling with devil's razor with my other hunters and it's so good feeling to lock them down. However, I have a question: the sea of flames, im wracking my brain how you've managed to get 3 handicraft, the hard element deco AND the steadfast 4 slotted, as there's only two three and two four slot decos available?
Glad to hear you're enjoying the content! ^_^ It's the weapon Slot that makes it work :) Put 2x Handicraft in the Lv 3 Slots, 1x Handicraft in a Lv 4 Slot, and then for Fire put 1x Hard Blaze 3 in the Weapon/For Water 1x Stream 2 & 1x Stream 1. That leaves you with an empty Lv 4 Slot for the Hard Steadfast Deco. They seem to have given every switch axe that needs mutiple levels of Handicraft some good slotage.
That's the plan Right now i'm just debating wether it makes sense to do these right now, or wait for the next update. Since the whole Armor Augementing news we got yesterday might actually change some things drastically.
Yeah I think it would make more sense to wait. Im a little scared about the whole augment stuff, hoping its not gonna be too much rng or endless grinding.
That will depend on what you're fighting. Right now going for your targets elemental weakness often offers the best results. That's why addet Builds for al elements. But if you're looking for an overall high damage option, the Annahilator Build will work with any switchaxe you might like and offers great dps.
@@YokaiNox thank you for the quick response! 🙏 I was thinking of definitely leaning into the annihilator build after initially going for an exhaust build
Lol lagombi switchaxe, YOU'RE the underrated one! Can't wait to see what you do with malzeno coil and archfiend legs. My current build uses them plus 2 levels of bloodlust... I rely on quick breath + dango shifter to stay alive! It's very fun and interesting to use! Highly recommend to anyone willing to subject themselves to that level of health drain, but it's easily doable once you're used to it. Please check it out!!!!
Yup, Lagombi out of nowhere ! 😄 Sounds nice! I have something very similar in mind for the Special Skill Videos, as Derelictions will ofc be in some of them aswell!
Great video, I always look forward to your content. Just getting into Swaxe in Sunbreak. Quick question, is stacking more attack better than having Crit Boost or Crit Eye? Thanks again!
Happy to hear it Frag Fodder ! ^_^ Thanks for your feedback! In general ATK Boost now finds more use on Switchaxe Builds as it grants the easier overall Damage Boost. Since the small & large Phial Explosions (including ZSD) cannot Crit, having ATK Boost as high as we can get it first, is often the more efficient choice. (Since it does influence the Damage of the explosions aswell) Specialy when also facing Monsters that might have difficult to hit weakspots. But having high Affinity & Critboost is still a very good option. It just tailors more towards a playstyle that makes less use of the big Phial Explosions & aerial moves, and goes more for precise hits & exploiting weakspots.
@@YokaiNox Ah! I wasn't aware that the Phial damage doesn't crit, so it make a lot of sense to prioritize attack over Crit. Really appreciate the explanation. Cheers!
Hey thanks for the builds! Your video showed up in my recommendations :) To be honest, I wish I could re-find that same spirit you have making these builds, somehow betweekn MHW and MHR I sort of lost that drive, like before I would make tons of builds depenind on the weapons and such, but now I only do like "my own version of the best build in game witht he best weapon" acording to the rank I am and ehat I have access to, and thats it. I don't mix and match like I used to, I don't know, like I feel elemental and status dmg makes such a small difference that I just go raw dmg and just with a confy def build and thats it. Like not trying to be a debie downer (I enjoyed your video really) I just feel so off with mh, I may see a cool looking weaponh and then see the atk or the sharpness or the slots are meh and just ignore it, idk does anyone feel like me?
Good to hear you enjoyed it ! ^_^ Funny thing is, i actually felt very similar with World! I mostly chose the "definitiv" best in slot options when it came to weapons there. But honestly that for the most part was a result of the weapon roster. As there were such clear standout winners for each category, and element just fell far behind for a lot of weapon types. Good thing is, that has changed ALOT now! Element no longer falls behind in alot of categories (actually ends up beating Raw in most cases), and the weapon & armor roster in general has become so widly competetive now that making builds is alot more fun & diverse again! We for sure can still just run a "one size fits all" build with a good raw option and some comfort stuff on it, but it by no means will be the best in slot option anymore now, for like 95% of cases. On average i'm seeing about 10-15% Difference in damage when running a overall "one size fits all" Build that is pretty maxed out, compared to a build specified to the Target/Fight. Hope you find enjoyment in making mutiple builds again too at some point ^_^ I appreciate the feedback King Arthur! Aswell as the very interesting topic you brought up! 👍🏽
@@YokaiNox thanks mate, what you say does makes me wonder, so I will do some specific elemental builds and compare them to my “best definitive build” and see what appens, one thing tho is that I have enjoyed a build I made for the dual blades using the blat, poison ones, ( the one size fits all for me lol) but Im curious to see what you mention about the elemental damage, so I will try and see what happens, maybe that will rekindle my enjoy of making builds? Ill let you know ^^
That's a good question! I considdered something of the sort aswell, but as it is right now it just looses to Lunagaron and a few other decent options due it's bad Rampage Slot. (Lv 2 Rampage Slots basically give +5% Damage on anything, since we can use the Anti Species Jewels in them)
The Build has [6x Lv 2 Slots] & [2x Lv 3 Slots] Wich is exactly enough to fit all the required Lv 2 & 3 Decos. After that just place the Lv 1 Decos wherever you want.
If u want you can use the Ludroth Swaxe for the elemental phials and it has 1 level 3 slot, 2 level 1 slots and a level 3 rampage slot. You have a extra slot or 2 since you can get all levels of element attack on your weapon For the Ice Swaxe you can use the Lagombi Swaxe for the Element Phials, the higher element, the 1 level 3 slot, the 1 level 1 slot and a level 3 rampage deco Edit: nvm, you mentioned the Lagombi Swaxe
I mentioned the R.Ludroth Swaxe aswell 😄 It's good for newer players to see it here in the comments aswell though! Thanks for sharing it with those who might have missed it, or dont know about these yet 👍🏽
@@YokaiNox yea I mentioned it since I didn't hear it (although I do beleive u mentioned it) and I was looking for swaxed besides rhe almudron and magmadron swaxes (since I don't like sacradicing other skills for 3 levels of handicraft since it is costly since each takes a 3 slot) and I found ludroth good. Now I just need tk build the Lagombi Swaxe if I don't feel like using the Lunaswaxe. Btw the Valswaxe is very nice like u said, I have never had evade extender and since j had extra slots I put max extender on and dear god it's such a leap. I have a second build for it with the exact same skills but replacing evade extender with heal amount up 3.
@@Mangoloonikus True, the difference between having Evade Extender and not having it is mind blowing after trying it out once :D The increase in mobility from +2 or +3 makes a massive difference. So much that for alot of playstyles it becomes a direct damage increase due to the offense up-time. The recovery up variatioin you mention at the end sounds quite interesting aswell!👍🏽
@@YokaiNox it is mainly for fighting some anomalies since the bloodblight reduces healing. I put on evade purely for the valstrax beam and I loved it. It gives so much movement that I had to get used to so I didn't overshoot. I just feel like someone is using it to Dodge around the map as a alternate to sprinting
Thanks for the builds, I haven't done much with my switch axe builds in sunbreak yet. I've gotten my gunlance builds done and my elemental dual blades are done. I did make a poison switch axe build the centers around the new skill foray as well as using the boost from chameleos blessing. It's pretty fun but the damage output isn't as good as I would like yet so I need to tweak it a little.
My pleasure! Hope you enjoyed it ^_^ Nice! I'm looking forward to working on Gunlance aswell. Foray is something i wanna mess around with aswell, since there are defenitely ways to make it work quite effectively ! Thanks for the feedback!
Not at all. Crit Element only realy becomes viable if you adapt a high Affinity Playstyle/Weapon. + Switchaxe has alot of aspects to it that by nature cannot do critical hits (All Types of Phial Explosions small & big). So it would be a waste here. But we'll defenitely see Crit Element on some of the future Build Videos here! ^_^
@@YokaiNox Thanks for telling me, I been stressing out on CE builds, but I will use your builds as close I can, look super fun, thanks for your hardwork and looking forward to those videos !
For Switchaxe only if the Build already comes with decently high affinity. Because affinity based skills in general are not priority for Switchaxe (aside from Weakness Exploit for it's efficiency). With Armor Augments now it's a good bonus option though 👍🏽
That will depend on how things look after i've had the time to look at all the numbers and factor in all the positives & negatives. But i'm pretty sure there will be some form of update video for switch axe aswell 👍🏽
Glad you enjoyed it ^_^ It's honestly less about the balls and more about knowing if I can take a hit and, -or chip damage before it happens. Having Stun Res helps alot aswell, as it will ensure the tick damage wont put you in danger of getting stunned by the hit that potentially catches you in the air. I also often go for already broken parts when using ZSD on afflicted Monsters that arent down. That way i get the health regen while damaging them.
@@whiskslim237 When you fight afflicted Monsters you automatically get a form of Blood Rite from them when they are in the afflicted state. (The red glowing stuff on you) If you then attack broken Monster Parts you essentially steal health from the Monster.
@@mikemosc3254 That sucks..Here's to a better year from here on out for all of us then man! 💪🏽 Might've also been cause i was super buisy the last 2 Months. And with no early access as a small Creator i'm basically just playing catch up when new games come out 😅As all the big Creators already had the game for mutiple weeks at that point.
As of right now Raw Attack based skills take priority due to the skill availabillity and the fact that the Switchaxe has a number of moves that by nature cannot crit (All Types of phial Explosions, big & small). That makes going for ATK Boost and other base dmg increasing skills the go to right now. But i'm sure with the new update and Armor Augemnting we will see Crit based skills other than Wex make a comback to Swaxe aswell 👍🏽 (Will defenitely make a video about changes to builds like these if it changes on a large scale with any of the updates)
No it's not relevant to the build at all. It just comes on one of the armor pieces as a side skill^^ Alot of good armor pieces have skills for both melee & gunner on them now.
It for sure takes some getting used to ^_^ The different kinds of playstyle it can adopt give you huge varriaty though, so i'm sure you'll find a way of playing it that you end up liking! And if not, there are plenty of other Weapons😊 👍🏽
It's defenitely not required, i would only add it to that Build if you have extra free Slots. Depending on how far you are into the game Some Builds from the new Switchaxe Build Video i dropped this morning might be more suitable for you though. It has a Build for the Chameleos SA aswell.
I love how even early MR monsters weapons get rarity 10 upgrades and remain competitive now. In that respect I think Capcom has made their best weapon trees yet in Sunbreak.
Yup, pretty much all of them since Evade Extender is just a personal preference for mobility. I would recommend to have at least 1 Level of it on any Switchaxe Build, but you can play it without aswell. Depending on how far you are into Sunbreak you might be better of using some of the updated Builds from my newer Switchaxe Videos though.
It affects the actual physcal hits you do with the weapon. So when you're in apmed state with an element phial critical hits will get a further buff to Element Dmg from Crit Element. But all the Phial Explosions that happen (both small & big) will not be affected by Crit Element, since Phial Explosions cannot Crit. That's why for most cases it's not worth going out of your way to put Crit Element on to a Switchaxe Build. (If it just comes as a free bonus from your Talisman or something, that's still good ofc!)
Hey, yup defenitely. But it will depend on the build wich piece you use to exchange for it. You can use Malzeno Chest, that way you get some health drain ontop. Or Kushala if the Build needs Handicraft.
The playstyle difference will come more from your own personal choices of switch skills, and what you feel most comfertable with. ^_^ But as a basline: Power Phials take longer to get into amped state (unless ofc if you use the new counter) but in return the Phial Explosions (specially the big ones from ZSD etc..) will do significantly more damage than with Element Phials. Making Power Phials especially good for Soaring Wyvern playstyles. Element Phials on the other Hand reach amped state much quicker. And the increased Elemental damage output they get from the Phial in amped state makes them realy powerfull if you're fighting a Monster were you are good at hitting it's Elemental weakzones.
@@YokaiNox That's exactly the answer I'm looking for. Thank you. Also, when should I start crafting decorations? After at least finish some weapons choices and clothing sets?
The plan is to make Builds Videos for all weapons 👍🏽 Right now i'm debating if it makes sense to do these right now, or wait for the next update. Since there will be Armor Augementing now wich can drastically change some things.
Yup, getting max Divine Blessing with slots is actually not even that rare according to the chances ( I do have upwards of 1.2K hours though). I've never had too much use for it before, but now in Master Rank it's absolutely amazing having Divine Blessing on a Evade Extender Tali as a Bonus! And probabbly still better than 99% of the Talismans i'm getting now lol
You clearly dont understand how Switchaxe works if this is you being honest 😄Switchaxe has a vast number of Damage factors that CANNOT crit by nature. Wich is the reason why all Crit Skills other than Wex are last in line of priority. The main Damage Boosts for this Weypon Type comes from actually having The Raw ATK value boosted. As it is the only way to boost Phial Explosion Damage for both all the small Phial Explosions & the big ZSD ones. In the Meta now, this FAR beats a Crit setup. Wich is also why literally no speedrunner is using a crit based setup ^^ unless ofc if they're using hacked god charms and have extra room from crit skills. Crit Swaxe Builds however can still be viable.

I went in full exhaust as soon as I realized how juicy it was lol.
Your builds are tight! Favorited the video for future reference. Cheers!

Have been looking for this EXACT VIDEO since I started playing about two weeks ago. Ten thumbs up.

How've you been ?
Thanks for the feedback Paula ! ^_^
Hunting Horn is something i look forward to work on aswell.
The builds videos are back yesss, looking foward to it!
after 8 years, I decided to play SA in Sunbreak, and I'm not disappointed ( except that in axe mode, it doesn't fill up the sword gauge, but it's ok )
thank you for your builds, I'll enjoy the weapon even more
Nice ! Enjoy your journey with the Switchaxe 💪
Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it! ^_^
nice builds!
I'm actually in te process of planning the update to this Video. It will either be a complete new Set of Builds, or Single Videos dropping for the Builds with the most changes. There's sooo much to considder now that it's actually making the process itself huge already. 😄
can’t wait for that ^^ I’m just glad all these builds don’t really require god roll talismans since sadly RNGesus hasn’t been that good to me lol
This video came out the day i decided to try out swax. godbless
In that case first of all, enjoy your Switchaxe Journey !
Glad it was helpfull ! ^_^
May ask for alternative build for Dragon SA that using the same x2 2 deco Evade Extender talisman? I don't think I have WE 2 with rapid morph talisman

Been looking for a para build. Thank you!
Glad you found somthing you liked here ! ^_^
Love your content, for sure gonna steal that para build, monsters don't stop moving in Master Rank!
Would love to see an updated para longsword build, but because of rampage weapons not continuing into master rank, I'm not sure what would be possible.
Happy to hear you're enjoying the content! ^_^
I know what you mean..Rampage weapons not continuing has put a serious baricade on creativity for some weapons (even though we have so many options now).
Happy to hear it was helpfull! ^_^
The farming this time around is real ! lol

Switch axe hard but I’m glad to have this vid for extra end game grinding
Im Rocking the Switch Axe on Sunbreak thats for sure..Love the Annihilator build..thank you and great video as always 😀 👍
Happy to hear it JayR ! 💪🏽 I appreciate your feedback!
Love the builds yokai!!!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the content ! 👍🏽
Great video! I'm definitely going to take inspiration from it.
I have a question though: how do you decide whether or not you run chain crit on your builds? Or if you go with lvl 1 or lvl 3?
Glad you enjoyed it ! ^_^
For Chain Crit a base rule is that it has great value at Lv 1 for almost anything you'll use, and is very easy to fit into most builds.
That's something i was thinking about adressing in the Video aswell. I love the design of the Royal Order SwAxe too 👌🏽Sadly the short answer would be, yes, it falls behind. But i'm thinking of featuring it in a single build video for the "Build of the week" series i had planned. Cause i'm sure there's a decent way to get good use out of it
@@YokaiNox does Valor switch axe also fall behind?
@@emperortalpa957 In terms of Paralysis Output, yes unfortunately. But it's pretty decent, it can keep up more than the Royal Order one.
I absolutlelty love exhoust phial switch axes and Reconqueress is my bae. I beat the whole game with this line of swax and having the ability to KO monsters is super cool. Highly recommend this one!
Defenitely ! Exhaust Phial Switchaxe is probabbly one of the most satisfying things in the game right now, once you get into it.
Awesome builds!! I was wondering how I can improve or change the magmadron build if I have a x2 Weakness Exploit with x2 lv2 slots?
That will honestly just depend on if you have a preference in a certain playstyle. Having mutiple elemental options can defenitely be advantageous, but isnt nesecarry. You could totally get away with just using 1 or 2 Switchaxes for base Rise. You can find options for the most viable switch axe choices in the 2 Switchaxe Build Videos in the MH Rise Build Playlist on the Channel ^_^

A Video about the scrolls and the switch skill setups for them is something i've been thinking about aswell.
(Often having Wirebug Whisperer Lv 1 can already be all the benefit you need for Swaxe)
Thanks for your feedback 👍🏽

Love the builds, I thought it was funny that Lance and especially ranged weapons didn't get base rise builds, I was like my dude XD
Happy to hear it ! ^_^
😄 that was mostly due to what was in highest demand at the time. Likely will be making Builds for all weapon types. Right now i'm waiting for more info on the whole Armor Augement situatioin, since it has the potential to drastically change build making.
@@YokaiNox I was thinking too if they ever release like a rarity 11 and 12 situation, it would completely change everything as well
@@poisonkid528 I'm kinda expecting that to happen 👍🏽

Thank you! I was excited about it and slapped it on where it would benefit 😁
@@YokaiNox alright, thanks for answering. I also asked my friend and he said the same thing
Question, would the abyssal torrent swax work with that dragon build you made?
All questions are welcome here ! ^_^
Yes, it would work with the Build aswell. But in terms of performance the Abyssal Torrent falls waaay behind the other 2 Switchaxes due to it being an Element Phial Type with very low Element. If it had a Power Phial it could perhaps keep up due to it's good raw, but not that way it is now ^^.
@@YokaiNox ah gotcha, think I’m gonna roll with the rathalos version of sea of flames and use the dragon element for CB since the mixed set I got for it works with both dragon and thunder~
in the first build devils razor... where is the lvl 3 devine blessing you have showing coming from? :)
The Divine Blessing is just a lucky bonus from my Talisman ^_^ Never had super much use for it before, but for Master Rank it's an amazing sideskill.
The Stun Res is mainly there for the addet comfort of just not getting stunned.
It's the weapon Slot that makes it work :)
Put 2x Handicraft in the Lv 3 Slots, 1x Handicraft in a Lv 4 Slot, and then for Fire put 1x Hard Blaze 3 in the Weapon/For Water 1x Stream 2 & 1x Stream 1. That leaves you with an empty Lv 4 Slot for the Hard Steadfast Deco.
They seem to have given every switch axe that needs mutiple levels of Handicraft some good slotage.
@@YokaiNox bless your heart, I'm just an idiot clearly. Thanks for taking the time to explain to a potato. haha!

Right now i'm just debating wether it makes sense to do these right now, or wait for the next update. Since the whole Armor Augementing news we got yesterday might actually change some things drastically.
Yeah I think it would make more sense to wait.

Which build would you say offers the most damage?
That will depend on what you're fighting. Right now going for your targets elemental weakness often offers the best results. That's why addet Builds for al elements. But if you're looking for an overall high damage option, the Annahilator Build will work with any switchaxe you might like and offers great dps.

Great video, I always look forward to your content. Just getting into Swaxe in Sunbreak. Quick question, is stacking more attack better than having Crit Boost or Crit Eye? Thanks again!
Happy to hear it Frag Fodder ! ^_^
Thanks for your feedback!
Cheers!
@@fragfodder1992 Any time man !
Hey thanks for the builds! Your video showed up in my recommendations :)
To be honest, I wish I could re-find that same spirit you have making these builds, somehow betweekn MHW and MHR I sort of lost that drive, like before I would make tons of builds depenind on the weapons and such, but now I only do like "my own version of the best build in game witht he best weapon" acording to the rank I am and ehat I have access to, and thats it.
Funny thing is, i actually felt very similar with World!
Hope you find enjoyment in making mutiple builds again too at some point ^_^
I appreciate the feedback King Arthur!
Ill let you know ^^
What do you think abnout the furious rahjang switchaxe for a raw build ?
That's a good question! I considdered something of the sort aswell, but as it is right now it just looses to Lunagaron and a few other decent options due it's bad Rampage Slot. (Lv 2 Rampage Slots basically give +5% Damage on anything, since we can use the Anti Species Jewels in them)
For the Gold Standard, how’d you fit all those decorations. The 4x attack jewel takes two and you slot in 4?
The Build has [6x Lv 2 Slots] & [2x Lv 3 Slots] Wich is exactly enough to fit all the required Lv 2 & 3 Decos. After that just place the Lv 1 Decos wherever you want.
If u want you can use the Ludroth Swaxe for the elemental phials and it has 1 level 3 slot, 2 level 1 slots and a level 3 rampage slot. You have a extra slot or 2 since you can get all levels of element attack on your weapon
For the Ice Swaxe you can use the Lagombi Swaxe for the Element Phials, the higher element, the 1 level 3 slot, the 1 level 1 slot and a level 3 rampage deco
Edit: nvm, you mentioned the Lagombi Swaxe
I mentioned the R.Ludroth Swaxe aswell 😄
It's good for newer players to see it here in the comments aswell though!
So you do not need to put Critical Element on these builds to boost damage?

@@UchihaSousuke No problem, any time man ! 👍🏽Thanks for the feedback! ^_^
Do you not take crit boost? Is it just preference?
For Switchaxe only if the Build already comes with decently high affinity. Because affinity based skills in general are not priority for Switchaxe (aside from Weakness Exploit for it's efficiency).
With Armor Augments now it's a good bonus option though 👍🏽
Will you update the builds for elemental builds using Silver Rathalos new armor skill Elemental Weakness Exploit and Rapid Morph 4 slot?

This is a really good video but I can't help but notice the massive balls you have for using ZSD on an afflicted monster
Glad you enjoyed it ^_^
It's honestly less about the balls and more about knowing if I can take a hit and, -or chip damage before it happens. Having Stun Res helps alot aswell, as it will ensure the tick damage wont put you in danger of getting stunned by the hit that potentially catches you in the air. I also often go for already broken parts when using ZSD on afflicted Monsters that arent down. That way i get the health regen while damaging them.

might be a dumb question, but why do you not use dereliction? I would have thought it was necessary on most meta builds.
I adress that in the video, you might have missed it ^^
Builds with Dereliction will get their own seperate Video for most weapon types.
Thank you so so much God bless you
Glad you found it helpfull! ^_^
Thanks for sharing
Yo nox! Been a while. How u been?
Hey man ^_^ Been good, had some crazy weeks lately, wich kinda held me back from diving into endgame content making. How about yourself ?
@@YokaiNox ah been a shit year but glad to see u post. for some reason youtube didnt recommend u as much as before. but glad to see u back.

That sucks..Here's to a better year from here on out for all of us then man! 💪🏽
Might've also been cause i was super buisy the last 2 Months. And with no early access as a small Creator i'm basically just playing catch up when new games come out 😅As all the big Creators already had the game for mutiple weeks at that point.
just wondering, is there a reason why there isnt much Crit Boost on these builds. is it not worth it when using SWAXE
As of right now Raw Attack based skills take priority due to the skill availabillity and the fact that the Switchaxe has a number of moves that by nature cannot crit (All Types of phial Explosions, big & small). That makes going for ATK Boost and other base dmg increasing skills the go to right now. But i'm sure with the new update and Armor Augemnting we will see Crit based skills other than Wex make a comback to Swaxe aswell 👍🏽
(Will defenitely make a video about changes to builds like these if it changes on a large scale with any of the updates)
@@YokaiNox thank you for this explanation. im starting switch axe now and your builds have been giving a good start. thank you for the content
@@snakeeat3r27 Any time man! Happy to help! ^_^
For the Devil razor build... why have ballistics at level 3? Is that relevant to swaxes?
No it's not relevant to the build at all. It just comes on one of the armor pieces as a side skill^^
Alot of good armor pieces have skills for both melee & gunner on them now.
@@YokaiNox ahh makes sense! Thanks!!
Im gonna try and get into Switch Axe but it just feels weird to me.
It for sure takes some getting used to ^_^
The different kinds of playstyle it can adopt give you huge varriaty though, so i'm sure you'll find a way of playing it that you end up liking! And if not, there are plenty of other Weapons😊 👍🏽
if i go with the chameleos switch axe on the annahilator build do I need to put in poison attack or is it insignificant ?
It's defenitely not required, i would only add it to that Build if you have extra free Slots.
Depending on how far you are into the game Some Builds from the new Switchaxe Build Video i dropped this morning might be more suitable for you though. It has a Build for the Chameleos SA aswell.
I love how even early MR monsters weapons get rarity 10 upgrades and remain competitive now. In that respect I think Capcom has made their best weapon trees yet in Sunbreak.
Totally agree, it's awesome that all weapons atleast make it to a state where you wont feel wildly underpowered using any of them in endgame now ! 👌🏽
Can I use any of these builds without a charm?
Yup, pretty much all of them since Evade Extender is just a personal preference for mobility. I would recommend to have at least 1 Level of it on any Switchaxe Build, but you can play it without aswell.
Depending on how far you are into Sunbreak you might be better of using some of the updated Builds from my newer Switchaxe Videos though.
I've just beaten malzeno so I thought I'd use these builds as a start until after the final boss
I can’t fit in 2 tenderizer if i have the rest of the the decos , I have evade extender 2 with 1 2 slot like u said
does crit element affect elemental phial?
It affects the actual physcal hits you do with the weapon. So when you're in apmed state with an element phial critical hits will get a further buff to Element Dmg from Crit Element. But all the Phial Explosions that happen (both small & big) will not be affected by Crit Element, since Phial Explosions cannot Crit.
That's why for most cases it's not worth going out of your way to put Crit Element on to a Switchaxe Build.
(If it just comes as a free bonus from your Talisman or something, that's still good ofc!)
hi is there any amour i can change out for archfiend amour baulo
Hey, yup defenitely. But it will depend on the build wich piece you use to exchange for it. You can use Malzeno Chest, that way you get some health drain ontop. Or Kushala if the Build needs Handicraft.
what is the playstyle different between elemental and power phial?
The playstyle difference will come more from your own personal choices of switch skills, and what you feel most comfertable with. ^_^
But as a basline: Power Phials take longer to get into amped state (unless ofc if you use the new counter) but in return the Phial Explosions (specially the big ones from ZSD etc..) will do significantly more damage than with Element Phials.
@@mikethai5109 No problem, any time ! ^_^
I would start crafting decorations as soon as you can, as it will make farming everything else faster.
@@YokaiNox For dragon attack, I assume it works for wyverns also even if it doesn't say dragon?
@@mikethai5109 I'm not sure what you mean 🤔Do you mean the Dragon Attack skill, or perhaps the Anti Dragon Rampage Deco ?
Pls make CB builds🥺
The plan is to make Builds Videos for all weapons 👍🏽
Right now i'm debating if it makes sense to do these right now, or wait for the next update. Since there will be Armor Augementing now wich can drastically change some things.
Divine blessing3 Evade extender2 on a 2 slot? Is that possible on a console? 😳
The only thing I understood : turip ip ip

Ever heard about crit boost ? Trash builds tbh
