- This should go without saying:
If you see something you like, support the artists.
Looks like 2020 will turn into the year of no live shows.
I started going through the vault and will be uploading captures of old VHS tapes, before the last VCR stops working. There will be some official releases, some obscure stuff - with most of those tapes I can't even say how they ended up in my possession (small wonder really, most of them are 20-30+ years old)

I upload videos "in order to memorialize, preserve, or rescue an experience, an event, or a cultural phenomenon". I thus consider this fair use of copyrighted material.
If you are the owner of said art/copyrighted material and do not wish to see it used this way, please contact me directly - I will take the video(s) in question down immediately.
This channel is not monetized, nor will it ever be. I wouldn't want to make a profit off of (documenting) somebody else's art.
What a gig! Top notch Gun Club live material!

Jeffrey the Marlon Brando of Rock n Roll my musical friend
Was fortunate enough to see this band three times. First time in Hoboken New Jersey second at the cat club in New York (Joey Ramone was there) a few years later at the 9:30 club in DC after Nick and Romi ran off together. It was less than 30 people in the audience but Jeffrey didn't care he played his heart out and at one point was on his knees with his guitar behind his head. Killing it like he was at Madison square garden!
JLP was one heck of a front man. He had a powerful voice and seems to have really had his chops down on guitar. It's so sad that he deteriorated off stage and passed away so young.
JLP looked more like comedian Bill Hicks in his later years.
Thunderhead is a blast from the 80-81 writing style, just beautiful
my favourite Group ever !!!!! Comes from the Heart !!!!!! Now I am 51 , already 36 Years.....
If only his life off stage were as together as his accomplished guitar playing at this point in time :-(
There's a lot more to it than that, but I get where you're coming from....
Kamata Hollywood City is blistering here! The way JLP shouts ''yeah" on the high hat choke before the solo. Pure Rock and Roll.
I love this GENIO......long live HIS MUSIC.....you live , dear JEFFREY.......to eternity!!!!
JLP: So tired, he can't remember....
Plays: Thunderhead
Fucking Kills: Thunderhead
Goodbye Johnny: There are no words....
May the Lord God Almighty Bless Your SOUL Jeffrey Lee!
Thanks so much for the upload. I came late to the party but been dancing ever since. R.I.P. Jeffrey Lee.
Damn, they were kicking ass on Thunderhead. Great lineup. Pierce's vocals are very powerful here
JLP is perfect here. That strat sound so goood...
Kamata Hollywood City!! This song is amazing! Love Gun Club. JLP was a genius.

Brilliant! Thanks for uploading love seeing JLP really looking like he’s from where he’s from, El Monte
Thx for this! JLP forever!🇧🇷
Thank you so much for sharing this!! JLP had so much intensity, power and passion. Incredible to be able to see this footage
The one and only. R.I.P. JLP!
P.S. This line-up played really tight, I must say. Lucky Jim is a very underrated record.
Later Gun Club is very "underrated". But ya gotta remember he went from cowpunk to straighter blues under the years, and not everyone digs that. I love the whole catalouge. And ive done a swedish tribute to a Lucky Jim song. Comes out same day as the Miami Re-release(!) ..cool huh?
@@jrkchannel37 super agree
The Lucky Jim tracks sound killer live
Absolutely ... Live!
Their "pastoral hide and seek" is probably one of the most underrated Album
A trick: you can watch series on kaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Mohammad Castiel yea, I have been using Kaldrostream for months myself =)
Yeah, this pastoral stuff sounds better live, more bite than the LP.
@@paulvanreesch2493
The LP is one of my favorites ever.
@@recorr The more I listen to later GC, the more I dig it.
This is so brilliant. Love seeing this. JLP was so underrated in the 90's ...
Thank you for sharing this!

Grandioso! gracias por subirlo! Salú!
Salú! De Argentina? Siempre es bueno otro argentino que escucha JLP!
@@raoulduke7817 así es Argentina, mas precisamente San Marcos Sierras, Córdoba. Viva JLP y GC!
@@casakaos3075 yo de Córdoba también. Muchos años nuevos en Quilpo.
What a stun!
loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
The old bust your lip on the mic trick strikes again
Que show dahora!!!!!
Sounds like they keep up with the times some of these 90s Gun Club songs appear to have a little of the grunge fleer.
Don't you walk on my street baby....
Keith Raniere of NXIVM copped JLP’s look!!
And his evil vibe
Jeffery was looking mighty rough by this time.
Who are the rest of the band? They’re awesome.
Kid Congo Powers?
Nick Sanderson?
Romi Mori?
Can t stand watching the stands ... nobody seems to care about one of the last performances of JLP. The same happened in Naples 1993 at the very last show of velvet underground .. opening U2...
kamata hollywood city sounds great, jeffrey is not having a good day with his voice though, he's really struggling with it and can't even scream the way he normally does, his vocal chords rly need to rest : (
Jlp v Warren zevon 2024
whos the 2nd guitar?
Think it's Rainer Lingk from Die Haut, as he played with them in 93 after Kid left.
@@kittyvomit are you sure that's not The Kid? Kinda looks a little like him, but Kid Congo would have had a slide I guess...
RIP Jeffrey great man
