I understand that everyone needs to make a living, but dear lord, are those plants overpriced. I’m in UK and even though prices are not low, by any stretch of the imagination, they are still ‘cheap’ in comparison.
Yes, the popularity is spreading like wild fire here in the US...it’s a fight to even get a hold of some of these plants now. One plant was priced at $13,000!!! It was stunning but daaaaaaaaang! Not even on my best day could I ever afford that! LOL! But there were some real good deals as well...but of course I missed out on them because of our tardiness! 😭😭😭 I hope I’ll have better luck in September where I will be there as soon as they open and not a second layer! Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
Seriously! I bought a rather large Squamiferum recently from an established shop for 13 euros. The demand is high here, too, but the market has become swamped which has brought prices down.
Beautiful plants , outrageous prices 🤭🤔
Yes, I can only dream about some of these plants! 😭😭😭
Price's are definitely crazy some plant's are not rare at all here in Europe and its only 20-40$ most of them very overpriced.
That's what I hear all the time...I am going to have to find some way to swindle my husband into taking our next vacation there! LOL! You are going to have to show us around and give us a plant tour.
I wish I knew about this and that it was in Miami, Florida.... I live in Central Florida, I would have love to attend something like this 😍.... the only plant I would probably leave with is the one that cost $25.... my mortgage is less than some of these prices
Ridiculous
WAAAAYY OVERPRICED
Yes, prices are at an all time record high in the USA. It’s unbelievable what some plants are going for. Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
Thank you for the vendor information and for being a guide through the variety of plants remaining at the show. I wish I was there. Your video allowed me to be there in spirit. 😊
I was happy to be your personal guide through this Aroid adventure. I had so much fun capturing all of the footage so it was my pleasure...and of course I had to share the fabulous vendors I encountered...they have so much plant love to give! LOL! Thanks so much for joining on this plant shopping adventure! HAPPY GROWING!
I think my mouth was wide open the whole time I watching this!!!
HA HA HA!!! ...as was mine! Unforgettable and unbelievable plants. I'm just even glad to be able to witness and be amongst the presence of some of them. It almost felt as if I was making history! LOL! Thanks for watching with your mouth wide open and I am wishing you the absolute best on your plant growing adventures! HAPPY GROWING!
I recognize the guy from Wuhoo from his picture on Etsy with the moss poles he sells. He should have brought some of those to the show. I think having lower priced accessories would be a nice way to include the shoppers who don't want to spend this kind of money on these plants. I mean these prices are cray-cray. I love the plants but buying them is almost like gambling. You may win, you may lose.
I am not sure if he sells moss poles on Easy. They did have a booth there that had plant supplies for sale. They may have had some moss poles there. I was so excited about the plants I forgot to stop by his booth. I was just so afraid I would run out of time like I did. LOL! Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
I went to the show and spent $50 for 2 tickets just to enter the event. Had I known how insane the prices were going to be I could have spent that $50 at any of the other local nurseries in the area and at least end up with a plant.
Ha ha ha! I know what you mean. I was actually pretty surprised the entry fee was so high myself. It is one of the highest fees I’ve ever paid to get into a show and sale...I believe the entry fee into the sale was what the actual admission fee to get into the botanical garden. If you are a plant lover and were able to appreciate the atmosphere and the botanical garden experience then I believe it was worth it...but if your whole purpose was to just go to sale for cheap plants then I agree it would not be worth your time. Because I am an avid collector and enjoyed simply seeing all of the plants and mingling with other plant lovers, the experience for me was well worth it...even though I only got one plant. LOL! There are some plant events that are free to get it so I would suggest looking into those so at least if you go and you aren’t satisfied at least you won’t feel robbed. Also what I’ve started to do is look up the events online (including watching videos and reviews) before going so I know in advance what the event entails and what the cost is to get in. You will be able to make a sound decision on whether or not it is an event for you. Thanks for watching and I am hoping your next plant event will be more fruitful. Happy Growing!
Ohhhhhhmyyyyy. This video is everything I wanted and more. Just makes me want to visit the next show in person tho ☺️
There were some interesting hybrids. I wasn't sure if I liked the Florida Bronze, but seeing that one determines I want one lol!
I didn't recognize most of the ones at Mundiflora. Very interesting.
Thank you soooo much for this vid Maria!! ❤💖💖🌿
Yes, it was such an awesome time. You really should come and visit one day...or as I have suggested before...MOVE HERE! LOL! ...and the Florida Bronze was a beauty. I can only imagine how stunning it will be once fully mature. It should be a dream. I had so much fun exploring all of the different species varieties...they really caught my attention this time and I think I will be looking out for more interesting species not so well known within my community to add to my collection. It will be an exciting adventure to see what you will get when they mature. Thanks for joining me on my adventure and I am so happy you liked it! HAPPY GROWING DEAR FRIEND AND HAVE A PLANTASTIC DAY!
wow those prices are unreal !! tenue for 50$ !!! I must catch the next one. thanks for sharing Maria!!! next one in September
Yea they had some unheard of deals there but I missed out on a lot of them because I came so late! I hope you can make it in September. I would love to meet with you in person. Thanks for watching and joining me on this plant frenzy of an adventure!
Woah those prices are crazy, you can find billitae here in philippines for around $10 with a reasonable height.
Yes, prices here in the US have really skyrocketed! There is such a frenzy to the point they are becoming hard to get a hold of. I wish I appreciated plants as much as I do now when I was living in the Philippines. My relatives tell me all the time how they just grow wild in the jungle.
lmao that's not a billitiae. you're getting scammed
@@ralphcom lol it is.
Bilitiaes are at least $40 for a small rooted plant imported from.thailand here in Manila, $10 is a steal, it use to be that way before the Plantdemic.
Amazing vid! Hope you got a
Some gr8 plants! The philodendron Carmel marble is a monster!! $$$$$
Awwwww thank you...The Carmel was a beast and so was the price! LOL! You would have to make sure you get insurance on that plant! LOL!
Amazing vid! Hope you got a
Some gr8 plants! The philodendron Carmel marble is a monster!! $$$$$
There were a lot of great plants...unfortunately I had to leave them where they sat! LOL! I didn't want the hub bub to leave me to find my own way home! LOL!
I understand that those prices are good but dirt poor me choked more than once, especially considering I've killed some of those plants many years ago when they weren't so expensive.
I fully understand and I am there with you my friend...I am just an outsider looking in and admiring from a distant. Many of the plants were way outside of my reach but I still enjoyed being within their presence. Many of the plants I had never seen up close and in person so it was a thrilling experience...even if I had to leave them behind at the end of the day. LOL! Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
Paula from Mexico. I use to live in Apopka, FL . It was called the foliage capital of the world. They use to have a orchid show every year down the street from my house. In the park behind Walgreens, where I worked. I miss it.
WOW...I didn't know that. Yes Apopka is still very popular for all of the varieties of nurseries that litter each roadway. I have frequent that area every chance I get. Out of curiosity what made you move to Mexico and do you ever think you would wan to move back to Florida?
Wow!😍 Amazing plants!👌 I would definitely be broke and get in so much trouble if I was there. It’s amazing how expensive the plants are nowadays and so hard to get them too. I can’t wait to see what you end up getting. Thank you for sharing your plant shopping.🌱🌿🌵💐💞😘
Yes, so many amazing plants...I was fortunate that they threw me out before I was able to really get myself in some mess! LOL! My husband seemed to be so much happier on the way home than on the way up...I wonder if he was more relieved to know I didn't send us to the poor house! Ha ha ha! Next time I go I think I will be purchasing a lot of species from Ecuagenera and Mundiflora. I think they have some really nice treasures that a lot of people don't have and don't even know that they exist. I think you will be surprised at what I got. LOL!
Oh my gosh those plants are amazing! My wishlist just grew 🤩 I would’ve left with an empty wallet lol
They really were! Many of them I had never seen before in real life! It was an amazing experience! I literally ran out of time and got kicked out! LOL! So unfortunately I didn’t get all of the treasures that I wanted but was excited about what I did get in the final seconds. Better luck next time I suppose...I will be back in September!!! WOOOOHOOOO!
Wow so many beautiful aroid plants thank u Maam for sharing . New friend watching you from Phil. Keep safe and god bless.
The Plants are Healthy and beautiful....
Thank you for sharing your shopping time....Maria.💚💚💚
Have a great week and say Hello to your Orchids...
They had so many wonderful plants...I wanted to take them all home with me!!! LOL! Thank you for joining me and yes I will be sure give all of my orchid babies a kiss for you. HAPPY GROWING DEAR and thanks for watching!
What a great video. So nice to see all those beautiful aroids! I definitely need to go to the next show! Thanks for taking us along on this epic adventure.
AWWWWWW THANKS SO MUCH! It was my pleasure to be able to do it. I am so happy you enjoyed the tour just as much as I did and I am hoping that I bump into you at one of these shows. The next event will be held sometime in September (hint, hint). Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
ok quick scan of comments.....didnt even watch , not gonna make myself suffer lol
Ha ha ha! It was torture for me to see so many plants that I have never seen in person and then have to leave them behind...some of them carried pretty heavy price tags! 😭
Omg I would spent my entire rent money at this place. Wow so many rare finds
Ha ha ha!!! Wasn’t it an amazing show! Many of the plants I had never seen in person so just to see and even touch them was an unforgettable experience. Thanks so much for watching and I am glad you were there with me to take it all in. AHHHHHHHHH! Happy Growing!
Supporter here🤗 Don't skip the ads❣️
AWWWWW SO SWEET! Thanks so much Jennelline! You are awesome! Big hugs and much love to you!
WOW WOW WOW 😲 BEAUTIFUL plants 😍, but Dang, some of these prices are ReDunculous. 🤑😬 I'll just have to keep wishing and hoping that someday I'll own some of those Beauties. ☺ Thank you for sharing with us. 🙂
THE FEELING IS TOTALLY MUTUAL! REDUNCULOUS IS RIGHT! Let's keep our finger's crossed that the prices will go down to where we can at least afford them. Thanks so much for joining me on this adventure and I am wishing you the absolute best in your growing adventures! HAPPY GROWING!
The prices are just ridiculous... Seriously. 🙄 Geeeeez...
The prices have really skyrocketed on some of these plants here in the US...I am teaching myself discipline and meditation to get through this! 😂🤪🤣
Hi gorgeous!! I m from Florida I m plants lover and I believe that the price is too much . The place where the garden is located is for the rich people with that I tell you everything. outside the garden better prices with local businesses.
Thanks for sharing we learn every time from your channel.
I do not sell plants but I am addicted to them. My advice is to shop with local businesses. In florida we have many nurseries with good prices and plants too.
Yes, I agree some of the prices on these plants have gotten outrageous. But prices have gone up everywhere you go in my area. Also majority of of local nurseries do not carry a lot of the rarer or trendier plants and if they do they are not affordable but are within the going price rate. Do you have any particular nurseries that you can refer me to? I would love to check them out. Thanks so much for watching and I am wishing you the absolute best in your growing adventures! HAPPY GROWING! P.S. I have been looking for a variegated string of hearts...do you know of any nurseries that carry them here in FL?
Beautiful
It was an amazing show and sale and just loved the variety of plants that I would not normally see ever. Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
Wow!!!! Thanks for sharing. Can’t imagine how many more plants were there before you arrived. Thanks for always telling us the names of the vendors too and sharing the plant love. I think I might check out ecuagenera this weekend after I go to Krull Smith. Happy growing! Stay healthy
I KNOW RIGHT! It's torture just thinking about all the deals I missed out on. That sounds like an awesome day of shopping! I hope you have a plantastic time and add some wonderful plant/orchid treasures to your collection...oh and I am always happy to share helpful information with all of my planty buddies! The more that we know, the more that we can grow, right?! LOL! Have a plantastic day dear friend!
I have to visit that garden before the end of my days....I literally cried from the beauty of it all on your way into the show grounds. I agree with other commenters that most of the shops had really gouged their prices. M. Dubia $150...you can get it for $30 at my local nursery. Then you got to Ecugenera's booth and I said finally. Anyway there were so many beautiful plants that I would have struggled with where to spend my budget. I definitely have a few new ones for the wish list. Here and I just told my husband there are only about 15-20 more plants that I wanted. Oh well...a woman's prerogative is to change her mind, am I right? Thanks so much for this content!
Yes the garden is so gorgeous. What I showed was only a small drop in the bucket. I do hope you are able to visit. I am sure you will be absolutely impressed. I struggled too trying to pick the plants that I wanted within my budget...by the end of the day they picked for me because I had to snatch up what I could before they threw me out! I was literally the last one to leave there! LOL! ...and I am right there with you as far as adding so many more to my wishlist too! The struggle is indeed real...and yes that is definitely our propagative! Ha ha ha! Thanks so much for watching and have a plantastic day!
These prices. Who's got a 3rd spare kidney to spare?
LOL! Definitely not me!!! I’m looking for donor myself! 😂🤣😳
OMG Thank you for sharing! I am drooling over some of these gorgeous plants!
...Oh that was you...and here I was thinking that it was still raining! LOL! Me too...if I wasn't drooling and tripping over my jaw constantly falling to the floor! Ha ha ha! I am glad I captured this footage...I more than likely will never again be able to feast my eyes on some of these plants. Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING DEAR!
Ahhhhhh Maria! I really wanted to see you!!!! I was hoping to run into you during the show!!!! 🥺😭
I am so sorry! I had wanted to meet you as well. Will you be going to the one in September? I already told my hubby I will be getting up at 4:00 in the morning to get ready. There is no way no how I will miss out on all the deals again. You have to tell me what you plant treasures you rewarded yourself with...stop with the suspense already! LOL!
It was such a great pleasure to meet you! While I was one of the 1st few peeps at the show, I wasn't able to take that many detailed clips. I literally went shopping, chaching-chaching as soon as we got our turn.
So I really love how you share the prices as it truly triggered a lot of great conversations. Some of the prices were on the higher end for sure, but the plant selection and quality are insane! And it's not always expensive here in the US, I've seen plants in the Philippines that are way expensive than the plants we have here :) If there is another IAS show in Sept, I would definitely be back. Again, thanks so much for gracing my channel and I hope to do a collab with you in the very near future! I've finally posted my IAS vlog :)
Thank you! Yea, I think majority of people like to know prices of the plants...it allows them to compare and even decide if that is a plant that is realistically within their price range. For the most part people understand how trends work and the outcome of the supply and demand. Europe and Australia are the main ones that point out how much of a price difference it is from where they are at and they have stated the fact that they have them readily available in their area. Canada can feel the pain of our struggle and I actually believe prices are even higher there. A few from the Philippines have said they are cheaper there but as you said they are pretty high there too...at least from what I’ve seen others post in their videos. It is what it is...and we just have to grit and bare it until some of the prices go down...which I do believe eventually it will...once we realize just how bad our economy is. Buying a plant at 13,000 is just not feasible...at least not for me...and I am a plant addict but I still have enough sense to say no to drugs and plants way beyond my budget. LOL! And I totally agree with you, the plant variety there was insane...and still great prices for what is going on in our plant market. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to get on your channel and also being in mine. It was so much fun...and yes I am excited to do a collaboration with you. 🤗🤗🤗
Beautiful sharing! 😍❤
Thanks so much for watching and joining me on my plant hunting adventures! HAPPY GROWING!
Wow ...I love it...💚💚💚💚💚
Thank you...I am so glad you enjoyed it. HAPPY GROWING AND BEST PLANT ADVENTURES TO YOU!
$1500 for ONE leaf!!!!!
There was actually a tiny leaf behind the one leaf...so $1000 for the one and the other $500...HA HA HA!
WowZa!!!!!!!!!! ;-))) Those prices tho.
I know right!!!! Just absolutely wild!!!
Can I just say that you look amazing ✨ that eyeshadow really suits you 💞
Awwwwwww your so sweet...I appreciate that. Thanks so much for watching and wishing you the absolute best dear! HAPPY GROWING!
A mamei for less than $100 ugh I paid almost double that for a two leaf baby here in Canada. My dream is a mature philo pastazanum which is impossible to find sadly.
I have heard that the prices are sky high in Canada!!! WOWZERS! ...and I do hope you are able to get a pastazanum! They grow so fast and are easy to propagate. You really get a bang for your buckeroonies with them! Thanks for watching and let’s hope prices go down on some of these plants!
@@PictureMaria1 I have a one leaf juvenile baby that was double digits *cries* Im hoping one day it grows nice and big!!
You’ll be surprised at how fast they grow. It will probably be at a good large size at the end of this year.
That’s about $789,345 of plants shown 😂
RIGHT!!!! LOL!!! So many rare plants that I didn’t know what to do with myself! Good thing hubby was there to prevent me from signing over our house! 😂
I always wanted to go to the aroid show, but those prices 😅
HA HA HA! RIGHT! You’d do better going to one in your area if you have them...because prices for plants are at an all time high here in the states! 😭😭 As a matter of fact...let me know when they have it in your area...that’s where I need to go plant shopping! 😂😂😂
@@PictureMaria1 only the ecuadorian sellers got it right ! Literally otherwise cheaper anywhere in Europe growJungle.nl plantcircle.co of course Asean plant exports . Yeah those prices are like double the market value. I am a seller so I have an idea of where things stand.
Thank you for sharing....great plants
Hi, I am now your follower and subscriber, a Juris Doctor and plant enthusiast, watching from the Philippines.
I know you're all probably having this event with safety precautions and all, but looking at the death rate in the US, it's a bit insensitive to hold or come to this big event with hundreds of people JUST FOR PLANTS. But that's just my opinion. I really hope this event doesn't cause anymore case of covid19 and all of the participants are safe and healthy.
Once again I missed the show😢😢. At least I always get to enjoy it through your eyes. Thanks for bringing us along and stay blessed🤗👍❤.
Well I know one day we will eventually run into each other. I am glad you were able to virtually come along for the ride. Big hugs and much love to you sister dear! Muuuuuuah!
Wow the prices is awesome so affordable. Oh my, wish I was there I would have left with several. San Diego is 😢
Yes, there were so many awesome deals there in comparison to the current market price here. Are the prices ridiculous as well in San Diego? You should plan a trip here when they are having a lot of plant events and also hit all of the nurseries...now that is what you call a dream vacation! LOL!
Here in San Diego plant people on FB are selling I think at times price gouging. After Covid I do want to go back to Florida 😃😄
Yea...and on Etsy too! I stopped looking on Etsy! LOL! Yes, you should come down once the dust settles with Covid and if you ever visit near me make sure you let me know...I would love to meet you in person. HAPPY GROWING!
That awesomeness thank for being so kind 🌿🤗🙏
😘😘😘
The day i get to go there i cry of happiness i'm a single mom with a Non verbal Autistic son and my life is between work home and take care of my bundle of joy that's my dream go to a aroid show thank you for sharing 🥰🥰🥰 and get a thai constellation at lease a cutting
yes guys, very nice guys, look at those prices guys, ohohohohooo guys, so huge guys, etc.......
Oh wow look at those prices, I clearly have a fortune in plants in Trinidad, and btw I dont think that variagation looks good on every plant, it actually makes some plants look like something is wrong with them.
If anyone want to know this is overpriced plants i can find and share a couple nursery's for good deal on some philodendron and monsteras and you don't have to pay extra for admission to the shows.
Collecting is not always profit money is about make friends and share nice species from over the world.
I am a plant addict. First thing I do upon waking up is thinking about what new plant am I gonna buy. 😂😂😂
Such a cool video!! Amazing job showing everything there!
these are the "day 2 lets hose them prices"
HA HA HA!!! HOSE THEM PRICES DOWN...and tell them to take a chill pill! LOL!
Great Show despite Ate being late! Thank you Ate!!!🙏🏽🙌🏽
So jelly I wanna go🥰🥰
You should go!!! You will have a blast of a time! The next one is in September.
You need to go down the night before and make a small vacay….thanks for sharing.
Oh my god those plants are so expensive!
I know right!!! Some of the prices we’re unbelievable...who would’ve thought you would have to get insurance to cover your plants. LOL! I was thankful though that there were some plants at good deals...some that I actually could afford. 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
@@PictureMaria1 squamiferum here in the philippines is just around 10-20 dollars!so i cant help but say my comment above!
Wow!!! That huge Deff was HUGE!! That was a plant fantasy trip. I would have to bring with me about 5,000 dollars to get the plants I wanted. Thank you!!
It was colossal and prehistoric...and looked more like a tree than a plant! LOL! Only 5,000? Ha ha ha! Thanks so much for joining me on this Aroid hunting adventure and I am wishing you the absolute best in your plant growing and collecting adventures! HAPPY GROWING MY FRIEND.
@@PictureMaria1 Thank you!!
Have a plantastic weekend and HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
Why did you snooze? 😂
I know right!!! We left a little later then we hit heavy traffic and rains...but I definitely learned my lesson! You all ought to check out some of these plant shows...they are a plant lovers dream come true!
So beautiful plants
Yes the plants there were so stunning! Some were my dream plants that I hope to maybe one day have! Thanks so much for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
I have plus more plant in my garden !
Everyone is complaining about the prices but for i the USA those prices are INSANELY GOOD. Giant crystalinum for only 130? GIANT silver sword for only 250? That’s so so so cheap! Amazing
Yes, I agree. In comparison to what these plants are going for here in the USA...they had some really awesome deals...that silver sword had mature leaves and about 5 large mature plants in the pot...so about $50 for each mature plant. I ran out of time and didn’t get a chance to get it...but that was definitely one that I had my eye on along with many others. I can only imagine what they had 4 hours before I got there. I really missed out. But I will be back in September and I will have my game face on! LOL! 😜
Where is calocasia “pharaohs mask”???? This is a beauty!
I didn't see any by the time I got there...so I am not sure if anyone had any. It is a beautiful plant. Mine died back in the winter but should be coming up during the spring. I can't wait for them to grow again. Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
I have one right now a tiny one looks nothing like a adult. I started watching because of the orchids I am a “newbie” I just started in May 2020...Smiley’s orchids in Clermont was my first visit due to your video! I love your personality! Makes me smile and laugh sometimes! I also love your garden that’s my mission to have a beautiful full and lush garden like yours one day! Thanks for posting!
Yes, they are spectacular when they get their black protruding veins. They grow pretty fast so they should reach maturity in this grow season. I am glad you got to visit Smiley’s! I love them! They are having a Valentine’s Day sale this weekend at Krull Smith’s Orchid Nursery in Apopka and also a big plant sale this weekend at Edison & Ford Estates in Ft. Meyers with over 40 vendors. I will be at the one in Ft. Meyer’s tomorrow. Thank you so much for joining me on my plant growing adventures and I am so happy you have found my videos beneficial! I am wishing you the absolute best in your growing and collecting adventures! Have a plantastic weekend and HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
This is basically an overview of the plant craze that has taken over the US. The price for these plants started at about $25 going all the way as high as $13,000! I had gotten there 4 hours after the start of the show so many of your better deals had already been snatched up, but I was still able to dig up many hidden treasures at good and affordable prices. I was very intrigued by some of the higher end plants that I was capable of witnessing in person for the first time. It was like an honor to be within the presence of the elite...but they were definitely plants that I had to admire from a distance because they were way out of my price range. The prices have continued to rise as the plant phenomenon continues and it was very clear and evident at this show as well. Please don't get thrown off though because as I stated there were also some deals that you don't normally find as well. I really enjoyed my time there chatting it up with the vendors, meeting up with a lot of my friends and viewers and shopping for some amazing aroids. Thank you for watching and I hope that you will be able to check out one of these aroid shows near you. HAPPY GROWING!
P.S. Let me know what you thought of the show, the prices and varieties of plants, which ones you would've gotten and which plants were your favorites. Thanks for watching and see you on my next adventure! Muuuuuuah!
This is heaven! Love, love, love!
It was a plant paradise from the plants that they were selling to the tropical garden that surrounded us. I had so much fun taking it all in! Ahhhhhhhh!
Dieffenbachia got me Sold👊😁
If I had a booth I'd definitely want you to do the video so excited!
Ha ha ha!!! I can’t help it. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I get so excited whenever I’m around beautiful plants. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment! HAPPY GROWING! 🤗
Nice thing about the rain, the leaves are all shines!
Yes, I love it when it rains...I am always reminded of a tropical rainforest....so relaxing and beautiful!
gosh... 9000$US for a plant.... that’s crazy
No $9,500 is the one I talked about in another video...the one I showed in this video I think was selling $13,000! 😱😱😱. It is so crazy and waaaaaaay out of my budget...I can only admire many of these plants from a distance...I was just honored to be in their presence. LOL! Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
Omg 😱 i can't believe the direct from nursery prices . I wish this shows comes to Canada 🇨🇦
I know you can really find some great deals! I have heard that prices are really going through roof in Canada as well. I really do hope that you all there will start having some shows in your area. I am actually surprised that they don’t have any. Thanks so much for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
@@PictureMaria1 Yes Tita our prices triple because of our currency comparison to your U.S dollars . Plus, collectors are just starting to build collection that make our prices a bit more . I will definitely need to try to be there September and I will be empty handed cause can't bring it in to Canada without paying for import paper and then taxes for crossing it. Bhahahaha 😂 I'm moving there 😳 Bhahahaha. Thanks for the video hope you film and visits more shows on aroid .
These are TULIP craze prices!!!!!
Nice video....
the plans are well overpriced
It is what is within market here. The frenzy and struggle is very real here in the US. I am hoping the prices will not continue on this upward trend. 😱
@@PictureMaria1 holy crap !!! man i thought Australia was bad with prices
I need to do my plant shopping there! 😭😭😭
Rediculous prices. Crazy crazy crazy. And I used to think i was the only person who loved plants. Since I was a little girl I grew a garden of plants from my surrounding. I am beginning to dislike plants because these people are taking away the beauty and feel of working with and having plants around you. I feel like puking........
Yes it is a crazy plant world now a days! But it is all about supply and demand...the more people want it, the higher the prices get. The buying public applaud the ultimate role in setting the prices. The prices would not be this high if people were not buying them. Prices go up straight across the board so vendors are effected too and will reflect in their prices. It’s the way of the market. I am patiently and anxiously waiting for prices to go down. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
Those weren't red emerald no
H-Town👍gonna look you up

I got there early around 10a. I got a great haul to include the anglonema tricolor pictum from Bryan.
OH YOU LUCKY DUCK!!! I missed out on a lot of deals...every time I picked up a plant that I wanted they kept telling me it was already sold!!! I really missed out!! Next time I am going to tell the hubby...pedal to the metal and no stopping for red lights! 🤣 Curious to know, what else did you get?
@@PictureMaria1 I got some budget friendly plants: from your favorite nursery Nature’s Tapestry I got a baby Pharaohs mask for $20 and a huge Rhapidophora tretasperma for $20. She’s over 3 ft tall and it was their last one! I also got a deal on a syngonium erythrophyllum or Llano Carti-road from Miami Botan nursery. I don’t know what is was but now I am glad I snatched it up at the last minute for $45. I looked it up on line and plants are selling for over $100. That’s insane to me. At he member’s tent they were selling a rare monstera from Panama (looked more like a cutting) for $500. The person that bought it told me it was recently discovered and it will probably be the next “unicorn” plant. I am retired military and I was stationed in Panama so I would love to have gotten a cutting but unfortunately I didn’t have $500 (to quote you) Buckoroos to spare :). I will be back in September. If you are ever in Largo FL please give me a call. I would love to go plant shopping with you on one of your adventures!
WOW YOU PICKED UP SOME AWESOME DEALS AND SOME REAL TREASURES! So happy for you!!! Yes, indeed I will let you know when I am in your neck of the woods. They are having a big plant sale this weekend at the Edison Ford Winter Estates. They are supposed to have over 40 vendors and I think it is free to attend. I am planning on going on Saturday. Hopefully can find me some treasures and perhaps cross something off of my wishlist... wish me luck! Have a plantastic weekend and HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! 🤗
Yesssss daddy Wuuuuu! 😻
I could not afford these plants
Ha ha ha! I am with you! I did a video on insane plant prices and I talked about my new plan of action for collecting plants this year...because simply put...I just can’t afford it. I am hoping soon the prices will get back down to where we can at least afford them. SHEEEEESH!
Wow a silver sword that size in Sweden is only 30 bucks and you can buy a mature Thai constellation for 250 bucks. Seems over priced I always thought the market in the states was cheaper but I guess not...
I didn’t know they sold them so cheap there! It is quite a plant frenzy where we are at and the prices just keep getting higher! 😱😳😱 I hope you are taking advantage of the prices there because you all definitely have it good. Snatch them up just in case Sweden catches the wild frenzy of a plant fire that has taken over the US. ...and ENJOY AND HAVE A PLANTASTIC DAY! Thanks for watching all the way in Sweden! 😘😘😘
@@PictureMaria1 I think maybe they got tissue cultured because you can buy at the big box store here for 300 sek which is like 30 dollars and huge ones with like 30 leaves. I would send you if I could :)
@@PictureMaria1 plants in the Holland especially anthuriums are really cheap, they had the green crystallyum (sp) selling just the leaf for 5 euros as table decoration 😳 anywho there are many dutch growers of rare plants. Feels like it would Be cheaper to fly to Europe to do your plant shopping than getting price gouged by these sellers. Absolutely absurd in my opinion. But I did enjoy the window shopping. (Poland also had many online stores that ship rare plants internationally)
WOWEEEEEEEE! You all have amazing prices there! Some plants here have become a mere fantasy to most because they are to a point they are way out of reach. 😭 I wouldn’t believe it myself if I did not see how much they are going for in person. I wish shipping plants overseas was an easy task because I would definitely take you up on your offer! It is the thought that counts and I do appreciate your kindness. 😘😘😘
My plant buds in Europe tell me all the time how affordable plants are there...know that I am truly green with envy!!! It probably would be much cheaper to fly and do my shopping there. Hopefully in the future I will be able to mix business with pleasure and take my show on the road...I have already created my bucket list of places I NEED to travel to and Europe is definitely in that list. Thanks for sharing your feedback and for awakening my eyes and my mind to a whole new plant world! You’re the best! Stay plantastic and HAPPY GROWING!
