Coca Cola and Pespi can be found everywhere (wtf?). - 15 dollars for a piece of ham and mash is quite expensive in CZ. - Trdelnik is not traditional and Czechs don't eat or recommend it. It's a tourist trap. Try Větrník instead. - The Sex museum is literally at the bottom of the list of things I would do here, go to Vysehrad or Naplavka for free. - You can actually rent cheaper boats on the other side of the island, the ones that no one can see from the road.. - It's a nutria, not a beaver. - Czechs don't like it if you say CZ is eastern europe, prefer "central europe". - 14:15 that bar is serving Pilsner which can be found everywhere, it's not exclusive. - Mustek is rammed with tourists and expensive hotels, I wouldn't recommend living there. - I have never seen a toilet like that in Prague. Which means that in some local families, trdelník may be more traditional than carp for Christmas dinner, which only became widespread in the 19th century, but we still consider carp to be a traditional Czech Christmas dinner, even though today in many families the tradition has changed to wine sausages and schnitzels. But yes, for Prague it is a novelty massively spread about 10 years ago, but on the other hand, given the fact that there is no more important Czech place than the mountain Říp, where the forefather Bohemia anchored and the local people considered it theirs since the 17th century, so there is actually nothing more Czech than Trdelník, which the Prague people only rediscovered. ;D

As a Czech person I have some comments: First of all, we HATE being called Eastern Europe. It relates to our past with communist regime, we don't want to be linked to the East/Russia. Also, look at the map- Czech Republic is literally in the heart of Europe! So please call us a Central European country. And also as we have a big Vietnamese minority you can also try some Vietnamese food in here, if you'd ever get sick of pork with sauce and rice, potato or knedlík/knödel. Also Czech culture is really close to German since we basically share our whole history with either Germany or Austria, so that's one thing you could notice. There are many places in Prague (for that I'd recommend the mentioned Honest guide), but my favorite one is definitely the House at the black Madonna one of the renowned Caffés that were everywhere in Prague during the 1st republic. This one was recreated to show how it looked during the time Czechs regained their independence. It is also one of the most important architectural buildings of cubism which flourished in Czechoslovakia during this period. I hope I helped you and enjoy your visit!

Hi, thanks for making the video😊 you could even get a better deal than Kantýna in a real restaurant if you order from the daily menu (not the à la carte). Trdelník is actually Hungarian a more Czech dessert would be Koláče and they'd also be cheaper but I'm no Trdelník hater - kids love them😎
I can understand the hate prdelník gets, but it's been in the Czech Republic for a while. It's not great compared to other cakes, but the oldest imagery on Google Maps shows it near Karlštejn castle, and I saw it even the first time I was in Uherské Hradiště back in the late 90s.

9:14 South Africa is expensive, lol. You can get a good beer for 0,5 dollars per bottle in Czechia.
❤❤❤❤❤
I’m surprised to watch your next video
The pond the two statues pee in has the shape of the Czech Republic. It is an piece of art crafted by the famous Czech artist David Černý. It is a highly controversial piece of art and is located in front of the Kafka museum.
Love your video. I'm moving to Prague to get my PhD. This has been very helpful!
do you still live there now?
I was there in 2016 march. Amazing city with amazing culture. I plan on spending new years eve there this year😁
How was the weather ?
Really good video cuttings and filming, so beautiful
Thank you for the wonderful video. I love how you do 100 dollars videos.
Cool video)! I'll go to the Prague this summer on my bike)
I’ll br there in March! Can’t wait!
Why you never visited Poland 🇵🇱?
Wroclaw / Krakow/ Warsaw / Gdansk📍
1:57 i understand it as the west and the east pissing on the czech republic (the pond is in the shape of the country)
Good luck bro👍✌
Brett that bar is inspired by Rorschach from the comics Watchman. that mask is actually the Rorschach's mask
The bartender mask seems to be inspired by the Watchmen comic character Rorschach. Which is also what the ink bolts are also called.
We get Trdelnik here in Vancouver but it's most often branded as chimney cakes. I love the cinnamon sugar with Nutella 🤤
if you ever have plan to come here, South Korea, I will happily provide you with accommodation and local guide☆ love this channel!
Looks like you watched honest guide 😀 Btw Trdelnik is not traditional food 😅
Royal Crown Cola is really not a local Czech brand, its American brand peoduced since 1905 in USA.
Wow lm so amaze to your blog l love it!❤❤❤😊😊😊👍
Nice information brett - nice stuff.
Awesome video. Looks like you guys had a blast.
Prague is awesome for sure but have you ever been to Lviv or Kyiv? That's where the center of food + price + architecture in Europe.
Due to the situation in Ukraine I would doubt it he would visit there
@@fandavokal who knows, if I were a tourist 🥲
Prague locals: ,,Trdelník? Did you mean that overpriced scam shit?"
Every west-tourist: ,,OMG, avocado Trdelník with banana sauce? So traditional, love it :33"
There is nothing wrong with people enjoying things. No need to be so bitter.
Man, did you just added the shot of night Lviv (Ukraine) to your video on 16:51 ?😅🖤🔰
I live in Prague 3 years and I agree its so nice..but now a bit more expensive. Brent you should come in Abruzzo region in Italy. Cheap food and drink probably more than Prague ...take the next flight to Pescara from Vaclav Airport
How awesome you met my buddy Gloop in Prague!
Gloop is the man
Hi, thanks for making the video😊
you could even get a better deal than Kantýna in a real restaurant if you order from the daily menu (not the à la carte).
99% of czechs never have Trdelník, because they sell it only to tourists in Prague :) And Trdelník is from Hungary...
My fav so far😂❤❤❤seems u had so much fun
Hi Brett, I just saw you on one of Casey Neistat's vlogs "Racing a Cop Car" at 0:04
5:34 not traditional, its a tourists trap that kinda got domesticated, originaly its from romania or hungary and the name is derived from the word Trdlo which means Dummy
I love Prague, and loved the video. Royal Crown cola used to be really popular in the U.S. and definitely isn't local to Prague, but those bottles are really cool! I had no idea they even sold it in Europe at all. Weird thing to be excited about I guess.
I knew that was RC ! I thought i was trippin
Prague definitely has all the same sodas that are available in the states. Kofola is the authentic czech cola. It’s best tried on tap at a restaurant!
Okay so I wasn't the only one who noticed that
Hello, beneficial videos. I was looking for the Alchemist Hotel. I found one but it doesn't seem to be the same as the one you stayed in. Would you mind posting the link? Thanks and keep up the excellent work!
I'll be there in 2 weeks. Perfect timing my son!
Prague is my favorite city in Europe but even as someone coming from the Netherlands I realise it's expensive, try Poland for a cheap weekend
I have spent less than 100€ in my video in Catania, Italy
Thanks for the inspiration
I just stayed at that hotel on Saturday. Nice place.
Even if they are called "free walking tours" the average a person give as a tip is 10 usd per person, giving less than that is like telling the tour guide that the tour wasn't that good, or at least that's what one of the tour guides told us :)
hm we were told 100 Korunas/person which is $4 was a good tip for this tour
@@brettconti I guess it depends on the tour guide then! love your videos!
@@jopitibm totally! thank you Javiera : )
@@brettconti definitely not a good tip, sorry. would you wanna work for that money? they pay more than half back to the company for the promotion. 10 eur/usd sounds way better
Prague is my favourite European city! I’ve visited twice this year!
Hi Georgia, would you love to share your experience?
@@scales5748 Sure!
@@AwesomeGee How can I reach you
Just visited Prague a few weeks ago. What a great city! Brett, Is Budapest in your travel plans by any chance?
Budapest is my favorite city in Europe; hands down.
