Inside the tower on the second floor is one of the only whisky bars in Prague (called Whiskeria Bar) that serves lots of quality single malts from Scotland and other countries! They have a huge selection of Bruichladdich, and the bartenders are dressed in Scottish attire. Haven't visited in a few years, unfortunately, but have very fond memories of that place!
The joystick bar is awesome. My favourite place in Prague. The staff and customers are cool as well. The wine bar is cool as well, I'd advise playing the arcade games before the wine though ;)
I remember in 2018 my now wife and myself back packed through Europe and Prague was a place we visited. Beautiful area and being a gamer myself I remember finding the Joystick Bar while walking around the whole area, so epic and cool!
Gorgeous clean city! The food in the first place looked awesome. You should do one that is nightlife for young ppl. And stuff to do together as a family.
When i was in prague i went to "ufleku" i hope this is correct ..... I drank like 15 beers there ... This beer is the best beer i ever drank A rly good tip 👍
Probably U Fleků at Křemencova 11. I also have fond memories of going there one night with my highschool class on our partly self-organised excursion abroad. If I recall correctly it was a recommendation of our local guide, and I loved the atmosphere in the pub/restaurant, as well as their dark lager.
I would alsl recommend the Hanoi Square Restaurant. They had an awesome Phô that was sooo rich!!! Really as if you were in Vietnam, maybe even richer, but it was awesome. One of the best Phô I ever had outside Vietnam!
We ended up at the Kantyna after asking an uber driver to take us anywhere he liked himself, not cheap, not expensive, somewhat trendy but out of the tourist circuit. Spot on, good food and beer, fast and modern looking. we loved it, it was the only review we posted of all the places we where to. not because others restaurants were bad, but this one really shined, I really like reclaimed spaces. whish we had gone to that tower too
More and more excited for our visit starting on march 1st! You are giving me so many great ideas! I can't wait to make them come true! Thanks for what you're doing!!
You guys are amazing! Really appreciate your videos. I can't wait to visit Prague one day. Could you guys do a halal food guide to Prague? Would be a true Godsend!
I'm in Prague right now and everything's absolutely normal, I've seen like maybe a dozen people with masks, mostly Asian, no social distance, it's great.
You are the living legend! Anytime I go back home to Prague, I follow your tips. I would completely miss all those amazing places without your guides, which is a shame, considering I grew up there. So thank you for making my stays better. Cheers from Sydney
I went to the subterranean Joystick Arcade when we were in Prague about 4 years ago and it was the perfect end to a night out. Beers and old school video games.
Finally rebooked our trip to Prague for November, two and a half years after we were originally meant to visit and we can't wait - love your videos and it makes me even more excited for our trip, so many places to see! Keep up the brilliant work - you guys are such an asset to the city of Prague! ❤
Only problem is a lot of scammers from Belarus keep coming to ruin the place takes a long time to remove them as long as you be careful of them its great.
I Luv Yr SMILE 😎 I don't Know Why But I Just Luv It .... Keep Smiling .. AaaaaaND I m Planning To Visit Prague ...Hope U will Meet At The Time Of Making Video, And I Gonna Photobomb U 😂
Many thanks to you recently visited Prague n followed all your recommendations n was never disappointed rather I was awestruck about all your recommendations.. thanks your videos made the trip worth it
Prague is such an evolving city with new things opening all the time. Your videos always inspire my itinerary for the next time I visit!! I look forward to your summer episodes as I feel the city really comes alive. Congrats on 1+ million subscribers Honza and Janek, you both deserve it
Miss the Galary of Steel Figures and Nightmare, Prague Horror Bar. That bar is my abolute favorite, if you like 80's and 90's horror movies I think you will like it too! Located at Ujezd 598/5 150 00 Mala Strana
Sorry Janek, but you've missed the spot with the arcade... THE MOST biggest and best arcade not in CZ but in entire Europe are "Arcade Hry Museum" in Červený Újezd right outside of Prague (you can say in its outskirts). Polecam! 🍻 Zdravim!
My mate went to Prague for a stag do ( sigh) he said it was the most expensive place he has ever been... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't stop laughing... It is literally the cheapest place I have ever been and probably will ever visit.
The Kantyna space is beautiful but notice how he didn't list the price of his plate like he usually does. I had a similar size plate and one beer it was 600 Krowns and the food was good not great.
You failed to explain Kantina. Do you pay for the card that gets marked at the start, or do you pay each time you get food, if so what's the point of the card?
So I believe the card is like the old school way to mark the beers. So as you order, the waiter will write it down or check off the beers and pay at the end. I haven’t been yet, but many pubs are similar like that in Prague.
Always love the Honest Guides videos. If you guys are reading the comments I would love to know your ULTIMATE day / night for a group of guys visiting your fabulous city. Ideally we would do some historical sights in the morning then lunch. For the afternoon some fun activities then evening for food and of course much much beer 🍺 😂
The arcade bar is not so good as it is told. The drinks are expensive and the mood is not so good. I took here my friends and they were not happy as in other places. It is not as good as said.
So many places that bring so many memories! Joystick is one of my favorite bars and the restaurant in the tower is very good. Thank you for the new tips on the coffee shops! ☕️
Does someone have good recommendations for hostel? I am female traveling alone. But i would like some company in the hostel, where to meet nice people?
a friend of mine has an apartment in a building that used to be a church. Not as cool perhaps as the recording studio of demoscener and music producer Reyn Ouwehand, which is also a former church, but just as practical. :)
Vaše videa jsem objevila teprve včera, protože koncem měsíce navštívíme Prahu. Děkuji za tato skvělá videa. jsou poučná, zábavná a nutí mě k dalšímu zájmu. Už jsem se do Prahy zamilovala .
As an English teacher living here in beautiful Prague, I can tell you that your pronunciation of skewer is perfect! :D
Oh please. So many foreign teachers are just native speakers but in no way, standardized or qualified.

They have a huge selection of Bruichladdich, and the bartenders are dressed in Scottish attire. Haven't visited in a few years, unfortunately, but have very fond memories of that place!
When they are filming the main entrance of the tower , there's also the whiskeria bar billboard, thanks for the recommendation tho ; )
Thanks mate!
The joystick bar is awesome. My favourite place in Prague. The staff and customers are cool as well. The wine bar is cool as well, I'd advise playing the arcade games before the wine though ;)
Pro tip in Spejle don't pay 1,30€ for some fuet slices. That's the price of the whole piece usually. (At least here in Catalunya where it is from 🤣)

Kantyna is one of my favorite spots in Prague. Damn, I miss the city.
I am so glad to see you are at it again! Planning to visit your lovely city for the eighth time later this year!
Thanks for ypur video, we are going to Prague April 10 to 15 of 2024.
Going prague tomorrow honestly thanks to your videos, can’t wait!
Bistro Špejle is like Spanish tapeteira. In Spain every bar has tapas, but there are also special low cost tapeteiras, just like this Bistro.
More and more excited for our visit starting on march 1st! You are giving me so many great ideas! I can't wait to make them come true! Thanks for what you're doing!!
After al of these years, you are just redoing the same things over and over again. It was a nice city good memories good peeps
I live czech republic and also prague
Great recommendations as always! Every city needs an Honest Guide 👍
Hello how are you doing?
Really good episode. I can say most useful from my perspective for the last time.
Can’t wait to go back! 🫶🏼
Ok I missed this two months ago!
You guys are amazing! Really appreciate your videos. I can't wait to visit Prague one day. Could you guys do a halal food guide to Prague? Would be a true Godsend!
You sure do care about your country! God bless
Im so glad to see that everything seems to be back to normal in Prague while HK is not even close to it.
I'm in Prague right now and everything's absolutely normal, I've seen like maybe a dozen people with masks, mostly Asian, no social distance, it's great.
Once again telling on my fav "secret" places 😂
As a french, I don't get how these fancy looking cantinas/restaurants serve those cheap (but delicious) looking food. Like the stick one. How?
wait is that a Dance Dance Revolution machine at around 1:00 ?
Janku v jaké pasáži jsou ty hrací videohry prosím ,letim příští středu do Prahy a moc rad bych se tam stavil
Dekji
Mám vaše videa rad !!!❤
Can you show us some vegan and greek places where they have a pita with salad?
Ahhh so you have a Pinchos Bar called Spejle. Copied from the Basque Country I see.
How did these bells survive when so many did not, as shown in one of your previous videos?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
And can you easily order in English in all the restaurants and bars you show?
Honestly dudes. You gotta devote an ENTIRE episode to Smažený sýr
Where can I get the chimney cake sweatshirt?
No No No. Honza and Janek are taking the piss! This horrible object is not to spoken of - NEVER EVER AGAIN - DO YOU HEAR ME?
Mjau
Janek has got soooo much charisma, it's incredible! I just wish we could also see Honza more often on camera.
You are the living legend! Anytime I go back home to Prague, I follow your tips. I would completely miss all those amazing places without your guides, which is a shame, considering I grew up there.

@@huginug in Europe rare, in Japan, there are still enough of them, thank goodness.
Europe is sometimes a little boring.
9:28-9:30 proof that the beer was non-alcoholic. :-)

@@natstar7864 I've watched all the scam videos from Honest Guide - I'm sure there are always other scams popping up but I think I'm well prepared!
@@natstar7864 The best way is to just use your debit card everywhere. No problem at all.
I like "true guide" videos, especially you showing hidden gem places. Make more like this!. :)
Congratulations on 1m subs and to the moon!! I'm so glad we all got to hang out a few years ago in Ostrava. 👌👌
Sitting in Spejle bar now enjoying lunch after getting off the train. Thanks for the suggestion.

Way too much Shawarma in Prague.
You guys rule. Hitting up Prague next weekend!
You just want to be friends with this guy and have a couple beers with him. Also, fantastic tourist info channel and beautiful scam fighting mission.

What time of day did you visit Kantyna? That long table is NEVER empty as depicted in your video.
They must have just open, he said, he is drinking non-alcoholic beer as it`s early.
@@otaprusa3482 I hope you don't really believe it.

If you’re still doing vylety to other cities, may I suggest Jablonec nad Nisou, Jicin, Olomouc, Trebic…even Brno for Spilberg
I'm from Třebíč and thank you for this recommendation!

Haha ... I've would like to go there.. I'm from Malaysia...next to Indonesia...love to travel

Hei guys,,reaaaly good job..Even Im Czech man living abroad I love to see yours tips..
I really need to plan another trip to Prague.
I was several times in the post office to send my business expenses to my company when I was living in Podebrady (Working in Velim)
Imagine a restaurant in a major European capital city that doesn’t accept payment via cards and now you’re imagining Modry Zub. Astonishing.
Cash FTW.
Yes, skewer is correct and you did pronounce it correctly.

The Kantyna space is beautiful but notice how he didn't list the price of his plate like he usually does. I had a similar size plate and one beer it was 600 Krowns and the food was good not great.
Wow, that's a crazy price.
The one that’s paid for by weight? That’s because it varies so much probably

I’d like more videos on the cinema scene in Prague please!
So many places that bring so many memories! Joystick is one of my favorite bars and the restaurant in the tower is very good. Thank you for the new tips on the coffee shops! ☕️
I try kantyna today and it don't deserve the visit. It's too expensive for this kind of restaurant
Does someone have good recommendations for hostel? I am female traveling alone. But i would like some company in the hostel, where to meet nice people?
As at Dec'2022, the tower is up for sale by the church.
