Isn't it also important to note how many months those have been selling for? Such as the one that showed 46 months. Almost 4 years. So for example if $25k in sales (not profit), minus expenses (60% est.), equals $10k. Divide that by 46 months, equals $217.39 per month.
Just wanting to point stuff out like this because too many people are seeing big numbers on UA-cam channels and getting too excited and then are completely discouraged when reality kicks in. NOTE: I'm writing this at only 4 minutes into the video, so I don't know if you end up bring this up or not. Wanted to post it before I forgot.

I totally see where you are coming from but your math is off. This seller sold the ornament 24,256 times, not $25k in total revenue! So let's do some fun math for anyone that is curious!
They are selling their ornament for $15.99 including shipping, my cost would be $10.33 after shipping so after Etsy fees, that leaves a profit per ornament of $3.69.
If you times that by how many they've sold 25,256 X $3.69 = $89,504.64 in total PROFIT in 48 months. If you want to divide that out equally between the whole 4 years they have been selling then that would be $1,864.68 that they have made off of ONE LISTING for 4 years straight. BUT it doesn't sell every month, in reality it has probably sold just 3 months out of each of those 4 years, so in those months, they likely made around $7,458 per month on this one listing! And this isn't the only successful listing they have!!
I hope this sheds some light on the actual numbers, I never want to mislead anyone, of course there is also expenses and such but you have to look at the right numbers to really get a sense

I only started an Etsy shop last year and didnt know all that much, nor where to look for tips etc. I saw just a few of your videos, but mistakingly assumed you were just another "expert" pushing regurgitated blah blah blah. I made that mistake you mentioned with an Etsy shop and my artwork. I would draw really nice, but really realistic art… but what was selling better platform-wide was cartoonish stuff. Still is that way and I’m not comfortable doing cartoonish. So I closed up my shop. 😂(I was too stubborn!)

as an artist I have never liked etsy's way of treating us....They used to be hand made ONLY then started letting all kinds of resale of china made products......I haven't used etsy in years.....and they charge you just to list something....don't like that either.....
