    Hi Lou, really love this video and these Sprint Veloce Alleggerita models are sooooo rare. I've been lucky enough to see one in the flesh in a collection in Switzerland and it is one of my favourite Alfas. A jewel of a car, and this looks so well restored, not overdone or pimped to look faster, just as it should be! Magic.

    The reigning proof she must be a Superlightweight racecar ... being from that era .. and not holding even a perforated aluminum ashbox . Bellissima figura and I also like the 'Portofino' Blu :) ... would such a fine machine then race e.g. the Coupes des Alpes which offered some pretty rough terrain?

      Hi Aurelio, Happy to read you enjoy this car. I'm not sure where this one would race. Hoping a Viewer can share knowledge to your question. Lou

    Mr. Weinberger loves his Italian cars and this Alfa is superb. Tiny engine - for US standards - has a mere 1.3 liter capacity, but it’s all aluminum, has two camshafts and the fuel is administered by the best carburetors in the business.

    A sort of Alfa GTA before "the GTA"...
    This gentleman has such fabulous cars...
    All of them are special, rare and beautiful!
    (once I pointed the DeTomaso, now a see the dark blue car in the back, that seams to be an Osca Zagato...)

    An absolute gem, and it looks very original. One thing I miss in all these vids is a brief table of the car's key specs: power, weight, engine type, etc. Lou's approach is emotional and enthusiastic, rather than rational and nerdy (and all the better for it !), but a few techie bits would be a useful enhancement to these videos, some of which could well turn out to be valuable documents of record for future custodians of these rare birds.

    I'm very fond of certain shades of blue on cars and this one's very appealing! The grille has a really nice design and enhances the look of the car. Way cool looking bracket and logo!!! Looks like this lucky little ride found a good home, nice story! Great vid!! Thank you!

    Hello Lou, It's been a great day today in Canada. How about you in Illinois? Sooo... any plans for a future "My Car Story" videos? I watch every single new one and leave a comment on them, every time. I look forward to your future videos, John.
    P.S, In 1957, a more powerful Berlina version, called Giulietta T.I. (Turismo Internazionale), was presented with minor cosmetic changes to the hood, the dial lights and rear lamps.

    • @JULIAN8845
      @JULIAN8845 4 роки тому

      the ti had more than more dial lights it had a rev counter and more instruments which the berlina did not which
      had a strip speedo. I sat in a race version in 1988

    Love it! For a light weight car, it sure sounds solid. The "deletes" are tastefully done, too & it doesn't have that gutted look that you often see. Very nice!
