Saddest part of the episode is knowing Peg with a new hip, but a broken heart is watching what I assume to be her favorite son complete his transformation into Icarito just as he drops the club at the top of his backswing... RIP Icarito--I'm sure a golf correspondent will be reading your death announcement shortly
The internet was already heavily pro-Neil and the support only grew as a pushback to the pro-TC gallery. Randy vs TC will be downright tribalistic: everyone's favourite vs the perennial villain.
The story lines couldn’t have been better. Bro v bro...golfer v athlete...underdog v c-suite...front nine v back nine. Driver v every other club in the bag. Kudos! Tippa the cap...
The 18th tee scene was just brilliant. The editing, the music, the voiceover - just perfect. We all knew where it was building up to, and it didn't disappoint.
The Brothers Schuster (Written and Directed by Joel & Ethan Coen) A juicy comedic adaption of Sam Shepard's sibling rivalry drama, True West. Todd (the older brother) reconnects with his younger brother (Neil) on a road trip up the coast with their zany group of friends in an RV, only to have Neil slip back into old habits and pay the ultimate price. The supporting cast is strong with Chris "Soly" Solomon playing the straight man, DJ Pie as the steady narrator, and the ever-perspicacious Big Randy providing life lessons along the way. The first 2 acts deliver the perfect blend of action, sex toy jokes, product placement from Callaway Japan, and celebrity cameos from Max Homa and a dad that likely got kicked out of his child's soccer game for fighting with the refs. Unfortunately, the 3rd act falls flat, as Neil predictably relapses by electing driver - only to wrench his ball halfway to the Monterey Aquarium parking lot. The true to form ending leaves the audience semi-satisfied in the way that you can only feel by watching a tumbling car finally come to a halt in the ditch. 3.5 Stars
The pre-game chirping for Schuster v. Schuster is so on-brand brothers. “I probably should have been nicer... I’m gonna draw on that experience.” Savage.
Best episode of the season. Can I just say I think Neil has the highest ceiling of the NLU crew. He's a good sports psychology book away from domination. Looking forward to the rest of the season and the Ireland trip.
The Icarito theme music choice @ 20:55 gave me chills. Set the stage for a truly Oscar worthy performance. All respect to the boys backstage: editors, producers and film score composers who made it happen. Looking forward to a successful award szn.
Max once saw me at the gym at Cal and told me, "Hey man! What happened??? You were so good at golf!" And then I proceeded to rethink my life. Now I'm practicing to be on the tour. Give me 7 months.
Yeah, this episode is dedicated To all the swing coaches that realised I'd never amount to nothin' To all the players that lived above the practice green that I was puttin' in front of Called the greenkeepers on me when I was just tryin' to make some money to feed my older brother (it's all good) And all the 5th seeds in the struggle You know what I'm sayin'? It's all good, baby baby
I live here. We call it the "Poor Man's Pebble." The back nine is very fun, but the front nine can be very tricky with the cypress trees coming into play from many angles in the fairway. Sometimes you can find GolfNow Hot Deals for $19 on rare occasion! Great course for a muni. Glad you are here, guys.
It's like watching Titanic. You know how it ends before you even hit the play button, but you can't turn away. I mean you can practically hear Celine Dion's voice as Icarito reached for driver on 18. I'll never forget you Jack... I mean Neil.
Hope you guy's are doing this for years to come. Great content. Neil represents probably 60 percent of average golfers. Icarito apparel coming soon? These videos make me daydream of a trip with my boy's. No laying up *unless you can't hit driver* 🤔
That was fantastic. The most tense, compelling golf since Tiger at Augusta. Seriously. I thought that we were seeing the birth of Putterito. The fact that TC had to hit a chip all square on 18 was incredible. Both of them had a real "hero's journey" thing going. Neil just ended up like Rocky in the original instead of the second one.
In trying times like these, I find it best to revisit a letter from St. Rappeo to the Icaritans: "And Tron said, let it be that the drop come from a great many yards, lest we dishonor those who once planted the seeds of golf on this, the grove on the Pacific. A great sadness overcame Young Neil as his chances of victory seemed but a moment away, undone by a great error in judgment. But when he reached his lowest, he was consoled with the knowledge that again he would rise, as it was bestowed upon him to carry this destiny upon wings of wax closer into the light, from now forevermore." This is a reading from The Book of Yardage, thanks be to Donald.
“What if I told you...about one man’s battle against himself, and distance control. -That what goes up...always comes down. -That, unless you’re Cain, sometimes you should club down - That if Icarus wore Kyrie’s shoes, he would fall back to flat earth. - That the mega bonus is out there, but so is the big miss. -That sometimes...a Strapped boy is out of bullets. St. Rappeo proudly presents: “Icarito vs. Gravity”, a 30 for 30 special”
I can’t unsee Tron’s pants!! He’s obviously the secret love child of Ian Poulter and Zach Galifanakis. The Franchise & Peg just served as surrogate parents to provide a semblance of a normal raising.
Concerned for the well-being of Neil during his future caddying for the bracket champ. We many not be praying for Ted Scott any longer... especially if he starts shouting #LPCP at them mid-round
Whilst mere mortals will remember the titanic band of brothers that was TC vs Neil, don't EVER forget that your #1 seed Stenson'd off the first tee and didn't even have the human decency to snap his club. Get back in the lab.
Ok so I’ve enjoyed you guys since I discovered you during the Ryder cup series in 21. And watched all the tourist sauce’s and plenty of the film room episodes. But how have I only just realised Neil and TC were brothers!?
As Neil addressed that tee shot on 18 with his driver, I thought maybe Icarito exorcises some demons here. Then...cue the music from his glorious fall in Strapped Iowa when he was going for the mega bonus, and I knew he was done. Great match, boys.
"You know very well Who you are Don't let 'em hold you down Reach for the stars You had a goal But not that many 'Cause you're the only one I'll give you good and plenty" This is essentially the Icarito anthem! #itsallgoodbabybaby
Not often do you see the "over the top," "across the line" and "excessive knee bend" videoed for positive #content. Props to TC for having the ability to combine them all consistently in swing after swing.
Whose ball is that? I think I know. Its owner is quite sad though. It really is a tale of woe. Icarito was deep all day, But he still showed up to play, Tron could not putt to save his life But still knew when to twist the knife. Neil gives Tron a shake, And screams of disgust at his fate. The only other sound's the break, Of distant waves and birds awake.
Max was very giggly and had that classic “not trying to get caught” look on him. Dude was blazed LMAO
The Icarito theme kicks in. Driver is pulled. St. Rappeo carries us away. Like a phoenix from the ashes he will rise again.
Jed Sprague Well said Jed
Had no idea Neal and Tron were brothers. That makes this even more spectacular.
A parent yelling at their child, it's beautiful that the Schusters were able to bring the comforts of home with them on the road.
Who was higher, Icarito's climb towards the sun or Max Homa when he first arrived on scene?
Man was blazed!
Max Homa casually strolling up to watch is classic
The dad snapping his fingers at his son is how I imagine DJ and Randy keep Neil’s ADD in check while traveling for Strapped.
Felt like the gallery was very pro TC, which it's super scummy to support the C-Suite like that.
Cannot be supporting TC, have to support big Neil
The internet was already heavily pro-Neil and the support only grew as a pushback to the pro-TC gallery. Randy vs TC will be downright tribalistic: everyone's favourite vs the perennial villain.

When you hear the cherubs start singing, you know Icarito has flown to high
Couldn’t be more true.
@@mulliganmen5494 Could if they had spelled 'too' correctly.
🤷🏼♂️
@@webbemerson or maybe 'high' is a place I don't know about tbf...
I guess I need to brush up on my adverbs
The pre-game chirping for Schuster v. Schuster is so on-brand brothers. “I probably should have been nicer... I’m gonna draw on that experience.” Savage.
This was my home course as a kid. I've been so fired up for this installment I could drive the 4th green with a 3-iron!
I've played this course many times and its my favourite course. 12th tee is just beautiful.
Best episode of the season. Can I just say I think Neil has the highest ceiling of the NLU crew. He's a good sports psychology book away from domination. Looking forward to the rest of the season and the Ireland trip.

Dirge starts as Trons teeing off 18..
“My gawd.. THATS ICHARITO’s MUSIC!!”
In Icarito's defense, it's very rare for a track in the lower 48 to utiliize the metric system.
I'll be on the look out for the Merch Czar "Juicy" NLU hat. Great stuff boys!
Max once saw me at the gym at Cal and told me, "Hey man! What happened??? You were so good at golf!" And then I proceeded to rethink my life. Now I'm practicing to be on the tour. Give me 7 months.
Trust fund Tron winning on a public course against a strapped boy after hitting good wedges is a bizarre turn of events.
That stack and jilt move by TC would make Club Pro Guy so proud of their #hardwork
how have I only just found these videos...love em, love the banter!
That was the best match play match I've ever seen. You guys rock.
Nothing says more then this being a 4 vs 5 matchup than "Out of Bounds..... Also Out of Bounds"
Yeah, this episode is dedicated
To all the swing coaches that realised I'd never amount to nothin'
To all the players that lived above the practice green that I was puttin' in front of
Called the greenkeepers on me when I was just tryin' to make some money to feed my older brother (it's all good)

Very well done!
i never thought id watch videos of non pros playing golf- but you guys are great!
Enjoying the content. What a battle and looking forward to the next!!

Been watching these guys for 2 years and only just realised they are brothers. Mind blown
This is the best episode yet! Keep up the great work guys.

Playing there for the first time at the end of August- thanks for the preview! Love the content guys, we just need more, more, MORE!!!
Wow, that tat really turned Neil from fratboy to convict quicker than his left on the 18th !
another week, another awesome episode. we need 52 of these per year please
That was fantastic. The most tense, compelling golf since Tiger at Augusta. Seriously.

Deep down Icarito was fearing the big right miss. Little did he know the big left miss was lurking! Always lurking
The Icarito and Tron match was like Anakin being schooled by Obi Wan. Then Homa tuns up full Yoda at the end. So fucking good
Tron making Neil drop back where his ball crossed the street on an improper drop back from OB anyway is LOL funny.
"What do you do? Tell the rules official?" TC confirmed narc.
The last time we saw a Cavalier drop a ball like that was JR Smith in 2018 NBA Finals
Jason Godmar LOL
“No I can pull it off”
Neil tattoo quote had me laughing in my house alone.
Max with the “Oh my, nip” call at 20:39 was so good lol
Oh Neil, won't you look at your wings. They're coming undone, spreading at the seams. Stay CLEAR of the sun. For once won't you listen to me...
Neil’s ball went so far left on 18 that The Squad just introduced it as their 5th member.
In trying times like these, I find it best to revisit a letter from St. Rappeo to the Icaritans:

Absolute epic battle of the brothers Schuster!!!! Neil that neck tat might be a keeper...
“What if I told you...about one man’s battle against himself, and distance control.
-That what goes up...always comes down.
-That, unless you’re Cain, sometimes you should club down
- That if Icarus wore Kyrie’s shoes, he would fall back to flat earth.
- That the mega bonus is out there, but so is the big miss.
-That sometimes...a Strapped boy is out of bullets.
St. Rappeo proudly presents: “Icarito vs. Gravity”, a 30 for 30 special”
All class from Neil asking about Reporter Randy’s family…. showing exactly why he thinks he’s Peg’s favorite son
I want to leave a funny comment but all I can say is damn this is great content.
I can’t unsee Tron’s pants!! He’s obviously the secret love child of Ian Poulter and Zach Galifanakis. The Franchise & Peg just served as surrogate parents to provide a semblance of a normal raising.
The Franchise deserves a mega bonus for dealing with these two mishaps for 18 years
The "Poor Man's Pebble" is a must!
Tron looking very oompa-loompa-esque with the burnt orange/white combo
Reminds me of the 30 For 30 "Once Brothers". Glad this one had a happier ending.
Poor Neil. Somebody give that boy a hug. Big cat themed sleepwear can only provide so much comfort.
Ok so I’ve enjoyed you guys since I discovered you during the Ryder cup series in 21. And watched all the tourist sauce’s and plenty of the film room episodes. But how have I only just realised Neil and TC were brothers!?
After so many awkward golfer high fives, first bumps etc, finally there is hope and redemption when Soly and Homa connect after the MEGA 4...#newlogo
Mega PTSD when that music hit at the end. Long live Icarito.
Is Soly the Rory of NLU? If he doesn't win this tourist sauce should we be celebrating his life in late August? Just something to think about.
As Neil addressed that tee shot on 18 with his driver, I thought maybe Icarito exorcises some demons here. Then...cue the music from his glorious fall in Strapped Iowa when he was going for the mega bonus, and I knew he was done. Great match, boys.
You might not know but Max is a good player in his own right
Haven’t seen someone this closely tied with “Juicy” use a driver this irresponsibly since Christopher Wallace.
"You know very well
Who you are
Don't let 'em hold you down
Reach for the stars
You had a goal
But not that many
'Cause you're the only one
I'll give you good and plenty"
This is essentially the Icarito anthem! #itsallgoodbabybaby
From Rick Ross to Elton John in the matter of days, Tron’s outfit selection is performance art
Epic round....it all came down to the driver! Best episode yet....would love a NLU juicy hat. Wear that with pride Neil!
The anxiety I feel every time Neil is hitting an iron into a green with people standing at the back of said green is prescription worthy
the duality of Neil: icarito rising higher and higher whilst forever the preacher of "get down"
Not often do you see the "over the top," "across the line" and "excessive knee bend" videoed for positive #content. Props to TC for having the ability to combine them all consistently in swing after swing.
might have to steal that tattoo idea for our upcoming golf trip.
TC'S PUTT ON 4 WAS THE BIGGEST JUNIOR PROM EVER....ALL LIP, NO HOLE!!! GREAT STUFF HERE NLU BOYS
Whose ball is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite sad though.
It really is a tale of woe.
Icarito was deep all day,
But he still showed up to play,
Tron could not putt to save his life
But still knew when to twist the knife.
Neil gives Tron a shake,
And screams of disgust at his fate.
The only other sound's the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.
Neil is hands down my favorite I was rootin for ya bud. My golf game is a carbon copy of the mighty iccerus. You'll get it next time champ.
Never regret thy fall, O Icarito of the fearless flight For the greatest tragedy of them all Is never to feel the burning light.
Good heavens Icarito! I haven't seen that many flyovers since the last air show.
That tattoo is awesome !!! 🤣
best episode to date
If any of u have played PG u know how far left Neil hit his drive on 15 at 18:13. That’s across the shared fairway with 16.
That's my spot...Good angle from there. ;)
Icarito’s approach game is like an 737 Air Max. You know it’ll takeoff, but no clue where it’s gonna land.
Defenitly better then 'The Match'! Would watch again! Even though I was, against better judgement, routing for Icarito, he did his name proud.
Excited to see Tron get into Randy’s head at Pasatiempo. I can already hear his voice, “Randy hates *insert name*”
This series is awesome. Keep up the good work!
Love Tourist Sauce
Icarito with his absolute best Jean Van De Velde impersonation off the tee on 18
This episode was juicy!
so good! great match
You know it’s inevitable that icarito is going to self destruct but that doesn’t make it any less painful to watch
Deej is legit my spirit animal.
T-sace dripping his way the Big Unit in round two. This will be a gentlemanly skirmish.
Shoutout to Tron, ensuring icarito would fly too close to the sun by dressing like it!
Juicy Icarito looking like the sidekick to Jared Leto’s Joker with the forehead tattoo
the lightweight match of the century!!!!
Juicy is the best way to describe that sick drop at the 18.
That felt eerily similar to Maverick vs Ice Man. Goose died when Neil went back for driver on 18. You hate to see it
more of this pls
The PERFECT shirt to complete the Juicy tattoo combo.
