- One of the most resplendent afternoons of the trip took place at The Golf House Club, Elie - 25 minutes from St. Andrews - where the group found perfect weather, a quirky, underrated golf course, and some interesting sock rules.

By far my favorite episode so far. Still had the history and the visuals of the layout of the course. But the amount of golf shots and the on course talk was very entertaining

Played Elie in October of 2017 in the remnants of the first hurricane to hit Ireland in 50 years... Hit 2 iron 20 yards short from 195 on #3, then 6 iron 15 yards over from 260 on #7, variety was insane! Possibly the most enjoyable round of golf I've ever played. Great video highlighting an even better course!

Awesome video guys, favorite one so far
We stayed in Anstruther for 2 days before we made the trek to St. Andrews. Great little town. The beer garden at the turn of the Inlet is pretty awesome. At low tide, you can walk from the beach, up to the Garden.
Great video once again gents. Looking forward to next weeks episode from my local course, cruden bay

So glad that you Guys got to play Elie, the 3 hole stretch along the shore is pure golfing Heaven! And you got to eat Fish & Chips in Anstruther, they must be the Best in Scotland!
But you really should have had a post-round Pint in the Ship Inn, next to the beach in Elie. Its the only place in the world where in the summer you can drink whilst watching them play a Cricket match on the Beach!!

I still can't get over the camera angle Tron picked for his commentary. It's....something. Hahaha
After finishing the 10th, I had the urge to relieve myself and was thinking about running down to the shoreline. I brought up the thought to our English playing partners as to why there was no toilet on course. The gentleman pointed towards the waters edge and off I went. Low and behold there was a open aired concrete block in which you do your relief. Inside you use the accompanying water hose to tidy the place for the next person. Thanks John(?) the manager of Newcastle Beer, for saving me from a possible embarrassment with his wife in our group.

I know I am about 3 years late responding, but one day I will get to Cornwall and play. Every photo I see of Cornwall is incredible. Good golf would just be a bonus.
You boys need to check out the old head if kinsale Co. Cork on the southern tip of Ireland. I challenge you to find a more picturesque course with such good playability

I've driven past Elie but never played, looks like a great course and you all got so lucky with the weather and conditions for your trip.
Must admit, the sock thing puts me off. Indicative of stuffy attitudes that persist at certain clubs in Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Why would any American go to Scotland with its over rated courses, poor access and lack of hospitality, when you can fly into Ireland, be treated like a lord, have the craic, play the best links courses on earth and drink far better whiskey?
YOU GUYS WANT TO PLAY A HARD COURSE COME TO LOUISA,KY AND PLAY EAGLE RIDGE.... JESUS FUCKING CHRIST JUST LEAVE THE DRIVER AT HOME AND BRING A CAMERA.... There's a par4 where the back tees are like 250+feet above the fairway
Noted. Next time I travel southwest from my home in NJ, I'll check it out... with camera and driver. Suggestion for you: Olde Stonewall in Ellwood City, PA, near Pittsburgh. Also very scenic with massive elevation changes.
