    Saying USA should have the world record when Jamaica had the 2 fastest humans in history (Blake and Bolt) in their Prime, Asafa Powell former WR holder and top 5 fastest human ever and other capable sub 10 runners like Nesta Carter and Michael Frater is CRAZY.
    No US men’s team past our present could beat that Jamaican team even if they passed the baton perfectly, which has happened and Jamaican still won.

      None whatsoever. This has to be most delusional take I've ever heard. If he's counting open 100m as is one off events then yes US would look better on paper because Jamaican men or women for that matter don't go all out in every race. They build up to whatever championship is happening that year. I have the highest respect for 2012 team USA, best team they ever produced. Jamaica just had superior talent.

  • @stevie586

    Never say never to anything, as USA does have the speed to do it, but damn, Jamaica set that bar insanely high (or low, in times)! Let’s be real, 2022, we had the absolute wrong person on anchor…who on earth came up with the idea to put Marvin, and excellent started and okay finisher, on anchor leg? Let’s try this…CC, to Fred, to perhaps Marvin, to Noah on the anchor. I’m trying to remember who we have that’s good on the bend right now…maybe we can put Knighton there, as his bend is insane!

    How can this man say that a peak BLAKE, BOLT, POWELL and a turtle can be beat by any combination of peak US team? The Bolt on anchor with Blake on the bend demolishes any combo you put up. The turtle and Asafa just needs to maintain the gap on their respective legs. If he holds that, then, the Jamaican females should easily wrap up the WR.

  • @KingKuus
    @KingKuus 5 місяців тому

    I guess it’s a hot take but the hurdlers are underrated and overlooked. Grant Halloway could absolutely be there with the best of them if the flat sprints were his focus. (Or like 6 other events if he wanted to do anything but 110s). He’s about as consistent as you could possible hope to see an athlete be, so I imagine that would translate well at being a reliable handoff. Throw him on leg 2 or 3 with Knighton on the other, Coleman on 1, and Lyles on 4.

      Logically, Kerley should be. With a 100m PB of 9.76 and a 400m PB of 43.64, it's surprising his 200m PB isn't much faster than a 19.76 at high altitude

    • @tak0331
      @tak0331 5 місяців тому

      @@78758nateRight. Just looking at the numbers, Kerley should’ve dropped around 19.5 at minimum by now. But eye test shows he overachieved in the 100 and underachieved in the 400. He’s built for the 400, maybe 200, definitely not 100.
      Same goes for Norman & Tebogo. Bolt was also built for the 400. His dominance in the 100/200 flipped the thinking for a whole generation of runners meant to run the 400.

      Thank you for your comment. I agree that Jamaica did not have great exchanges on their world record run. By my calculations they could have run faster than 36 seconds if they executed close to flawlessly. But now in this generation the Americans are severely underperforming in the handoffs as well.

    Jamaica WR relay team was better than the US EVER had. Jam too has underperformed. Let's be real.

    Honestly, this is a played out topi, especially because they just won Gold and have the most steady lineup Team USA has had in what feels like decades.
    Coleman, Kerley/Lindsey, Knighton and Lyles will be in Paris and could easily smash the WR. And I would wager they practice together more than the day before the race. End of discussion.

    He is kind of correct no matter how you kind of look at it in that Japan is always number for Japan soon will make that podium because Japan has precise perfect handoffs and sooner or later they’ll get that bronze we will have another Alexis Holmes type of catastrophe in this relay American teen I need a man or women side because what he says is true they don’t practice you’re not a team you’re just throwing together at the last minute can’t do that on the world stage When you have other teams that are near precise and need a precision in the relays because he practice as a team Olympics,,,

    This why Americans will always rub people wrong…, hype, overreach, sensationalism and superiority complex! Imagine Bolt-Blake-Powell being talked about like chumps… America doesn’t have 3 such caliber runners, not then not now! Stop it! If Bolt and Powell came out of retirement right now, America still couldn’t beat them!
