The dev teams needs to be very careful with how damage drop off behaves in the game. But honestly, medium ammo deserves to start losing damage at around 30m rather than 20m like compact ammo.
Agreed. Compact ammo should be the weakest ammo in every way possible, and it makes up for the weakness with its low price and fire rate. Medium ammo has always felt like a weird middle child; compact needs another nerf or medium needs a buff.

Really like the graphic displaying the stats, if you do choose to continue this gun review series further it would make for really easy gun comparison. I have always liked the Springfield (especially with bleed ammo), nothing better than entering the match with a $38 gun and leaving with a Mosin.

I personally think the Springfield is one of the most underrated guns in Hunt. I like to treat it as a more aggressive Sparks at mid range. The ultimate guerilla warfare hit-n-run gun. The 2s reload speed lets you fire, reposition, and fire again in such a fast loop that I've outperformed many opponents using a Sparks because I could shoot faster and so many different angles that they couldn't predict the movement. Edit: My personal loadout for the Springfield: Springfield Compact with half dum-dum and dual scottfield swift.
I've had fun running the springfield with a scottfield swift and fanning, all normal ammo. Massive ammo pool with one of the quickest ways to burn through it, and you get a ton from ammo resupply so you can just keep it going confusingly long.
What a great overall expose and review of the Springfield. I used to hate this gun when when starting out in Hunt, not understanding single shot fast reload weapons and damage drop off; I always had issues making it work for me. Only now after getting to Prestige level 10 have I started to apricate its value, combining it with all my previous experience.
Springfield bleed with officer has carried me straight into 6 star and the amount of money I’ve been making is great. Hit them with the bleed and w key, beautiful haven’t had so much fun with a load out in time!
I've played Compact Striker with half bleed + Caldwell Handcannon with Flechette. Flechette can hit out quite far (up to 40-50m you can legit follow up your Springfield shot with it), is still lethal enough for close range and the combined bleed can be really nasty.
I do think the explosive ammo gets a bad rap, like you said it can be used to clear doors and such and that is why it's good, the like 4 things i ever used it for was: 1. Blow up barrels in one hit immediately(obv). 2. Destroy barricaded doors and well all doors really and shutters. 3. Harass people behind cover(If in a situation you can do that) . 4. Destroy lanterns indoors that isnt in my fov. I used the springfield with explosive ammo a lot for the scrapbeak event and i cant tell you how many times i could breach barricaded doors(sometimes from way away to get anoter team to charge in xD) and set people on fire from lanterns when they peak and i cant get a body shoot off. Like its not better pure pvp than bleed obv but its imo purley utility.

The “pumpkin on a post” aiming style is so true with the Springfield and the iron sights are just so easy to use that its a great gun to practice aim discipline with.
I really think the Springfield is a great gun to train up your aim with. Lots of ammo to practice with if you're missing shots but at the same time it's stats force you to want to make each shot count more. And it's dirt cheap so dying won't punish you very much. I ran the springfield a lot for a while and I definitely noticed tangible improvement in my aim especially with long range headshots.
Heck yes, love me some gun reviews. I like the star graph you made, I think in future videos it might be cool to see it compared to previous guns you've reviewed side by side.
I love the springfield, mostly the regular with bleed and the Compact Striker with dual pistols. I recently tried to unlock the masteries for all of the variants and the compact deadeye was absolutely brutal. I'd probably play it even more if I was able to get more consistent headshots with it but with my skill where it is now I tend to drop off using it once I unlock the long ammo rifles.
I would suggest to only play the deadeye with steady hand, otherwhise its really hard to control the sway, same goes for the winnie vandal but that thing at least has more than one shot
The deadeye brought me a lot of kills in solo budget runs so far. I can only hope imagine the wtf reaction when players see the scrawny tier 1 hunter with that gun on their death screen
Yes. More of these. These kind of videos are EXTREMELY useful to hunters especially new players. I will be sure to send people over to see this like the tips videos. Weapon reviews are normally opinions but you did a great job explaining the stats some of the pitfalls well put together. And when i have quartermaster or even if i go double medium i am bringing a mini springie with dum dum and explosive as an opening and then bang with something else plus the hip fire on the springfield is SOOOOOOO GOOD and very accurate also has the SMALLEST crosshair in the game NATIVELY most people don't notice. So REMINDING people of that is very valueable. Good video Mike, daddy likes.

This is an absolutely amazing video and great format IMO. The star graph was actually pretty nice since it makes sense and can be used for an overall 'power' view of the weapon. As someone still very new to the game, I greatly appreciate this and hope you make more of these gun reviews!
I've been essentially running a "Teche Wraith" loadout with the Springfield compact striker and some conversion pistols, and it's given me a huge appreciation for the Springfield as a whole. Really solid gun that often surprises me with how reliable it is in many situations I find myself in.
The "ironsight" part is great. that helps a lot to have examples of how much you have to lead with a specific weapon. you should intergate that into every gunreview you make. it helps so much to see it while calmly observing someone elses gameplay instead of having to figure it out during the intensity of a fight. also, if i miss i dont know if i took too much or not enough lead... it really helps a lot to see the right amount!
Good overall review of the springfield. It is dirt cheap and can easily fit into many budget loadouts. DumDum rounds in the springfield is likely the one gun those bullets are near enough made for, while penetration is nice to have it is often not worth it on low rate of fire weapons so losing penetration isn't an issue but what helps make this gun shine is how nicely it plays with loadouts. Taking a pax or Scottfield means with it means you will near never run out of ammo for it and personally more of a fan of having the secondary be more of an extra reserve of standard medium ammo, not special. I would say that it does take getting used it as mentioned, did find myself in early days of hunt thinking it wasn't good but now...well I find myself having to figure out why I would take something else over it. Ofcourse if you have unlimited funds, it falls over a little but when you consider this in the world of budget it is the premium range weapon of choice as you have the trinity of winfield, springfield and romero which all 3 of those weapons also come with their own suite of variants to pick from (Romero Hachet imo is the best). While it may not be long ammo, bring able to headshot from 200m is still further than most engagements you will have in hunt and even when sniping you will be hard pressed to find angles consistently that get that distance so if you want to snipe but don't want to take special ammo for the Winfield, Springfield covers that cleanly. When talking loadouts, with a budget of 275 (I like to consider budget loadouts as costing the same as an uppercut or less) you can fit springfields into that range cleanly and nicely with a good range of options for tools and utility. To be honest, you may find yourself often spending more on your sidearm than your main weapon slot with this gun. Also do not underestimate the compact versions of this gun. They still headshot well, and the deadeye compact is surprisingly good. Finally, the big selling point is that 2 second reload. Fastest of all the single shot rifles in the game, you may find yourself not enjoying the sparks purely because of that sloth pace 4 second reload on it. To me, I find the Martini Henry and Springfield far superior to the sparks just for the fact that to me, somehow 4 seconds is just too long but 3 is fine and 2 seconds is barely notable (sometimes feels like I fire just as fast with a springfield as I do with the bolt-action rifles).
Springfield compact (half bleed), bow with half frag is very fun. Tag with bleed and then bombard with frags when they take cover. Situational but funny. Springfield compact (always half bleed), rival handcannon with slugs is very good but no longer as budget ofc. For the deadeye compact I think dualies work best together with it. Scottfields are nice but you have to embrace the rng or take tomahawks or a derringer to have something as a last ditch close range clutch. Nice to see a springfield video, Mike. One of my favorite guns, its just so fun and the reload animation is so satisfying for some reason
This was great, I know it takes a lot of time and work to thatch together gun reviews (or any video I suppose). So I always appreciate when you manage to put one out. I've been playing the game for while now, and I still watch anything about reviewing guns or going over mechanics of the game because there is always more to glean from well constructed material from a cold set of eyes. When my hunter gets quartermaster, its always double Scott swifts with any of the large slot springfields with bleed ammo, very strong close and solid medium, okish long range.

Been running the springfield the last couple day, half regular half bleed, with a scottfield variant depending on my traits. I love the thing, been popping heads with it left and right. It and the martini are the only two guns that I get consistent headshots with.
Great video on the springfield! Glad to see you pick the review series back up, and love to see more! I usually pick a regular springfield and a cheap pistol with normal ammo when I get low on funds. It's great for collecting better weapons and money. Only downside for me is the damage drop-off. Definately have to try it with bleed ammo as well!
I dont play the Springfield a lot, but had a few free hunter with the regular one. I was very suprised about the gun, so i will give it a chance next time in the bayou. Btw you do a great job, very nice idea with the spider web, the videos and the moderation are very professional.
Springfield Compact Deadeye paired with Bow is one of my favourite Loadouts. Having that pocket sniper to to scout out compounds really helps as a solo.
I'd love if you keep doing reviews on all the weapons! Its so nice to have a in depth video on the different weapons, especially from someone with this amount of game knowledge.
thanks mike ;:) regular normal springfield with bleed/normal bullet is one of my fav guns atm . i usually play it with a pax+bleed to finish up and if i get fanning i like the scottfield swift with nromal ammo (around 30 bullets for fast reload) knuckleknive, medkit, throwing axes , choke , first round 2xsmall hp syringe , big stamina shot and a hellfire bomb , later big hp syringe, big regen shot , hellfire and a stamine . spingfield is just good against people who are pushing you .
Mike, thank you for the great content as always. One thing though, at 26:15 you said the vitality shot doesn't stop bleeding, but I think it does, it did for me at least. Please test it out when you can and see what you find :)

This is a great video! I also think the Springfield is underrated and a very good weapon. I like that you mentioned how it handles for beginners because I feel like it takes a bit to get used to and that using the Springfield early on makes the other single shot rifles easier to use in the long run.
The Springfield and either a silenced nagant pistol, or an uppercut to help land that further to reach shot after tagging someone with the Springfield. All around though I love the video. Keep doing this series!
Springfield Compact dum dum and Dual Conversions with FMJ is probably my favorite budget loadout right not. Hit someone with Dum Dum, They take cover and you just spam into the cover with FMJ. Even if you miss your FMJ shots a lot of times they panic and bleed out anyways

Funny you mention it, one of my favorite super budget solo load outs is Springfield Compact Striker with sawed-off caldwell shotgun. Also, loved the “spider web” for the weapon, definitely more of those in the future!

So a Springfield Loadout I really like to play is , a Full Springfield with half bleed and a Lemat FMJ with Fanning. So when people hide behind cover to stop the bleeding they're easy wallbangs. Ofc it also works with any other secondary that has access to FMJ I never really need the extra bleed rounds from bringing a Pax and having the extra pen is really helpful when they hide to stop the bleed in compound fights
As a general tip, start with springfield if you want to move onto long ammo guns later like a mosin but fear losing your gun and your hunt dollars if you die. Springfiled is cheap so doesn't matter even if you lose your hunter.. Once you get the hang of spring, you can try martini henry and then sparks and then mosin/lebel!
As you asked for Springfield loadouts: How about a Sparks with a compact Springfield with half normal or bleed and half explosive ammo. The point is to tap the hunter in the chest with sparks, then try to shoot them with the springfield but if they hide behind a cover, swap ammo and hit them with the splash damage of explosive

Springfield is a weird weapon for me. I really don't like it that much, and I hate the compact variants, but the marksman variant is in my opinion one of the most cost effective weapon in the game. It shoots fast for a single shot rifle, bleed ammo rocks, the velocity is comparable to sparks (on normal ammo ofc) and you get a shittonne of ammo for it. Springfield Marksman probably earned me more money on solo hunts that any other weapon.
Love these kinda videos, even as an experienced player it gives me some great ideas and makes me want to revisit some old springfield loadouts I haven't touched in ages. I love the info-graph, easy way to convey a lot of info, hope to see more in the future. One of my favorite springfield setups is sparks with springfield striker with double explosive. Hardly ever works but a good meme for every once in a while.

Pretty good review Mike ! I love the graphic for the "plus" and "cons" of the weapon but I couldn't really picture the damage drop off clearly if I make sense ? (That graphic was a little busy with informations even if you cleared it up with your explanations). The Springfield is one of my favorite guns in Hunt, I like to pick a LeMat revolver to go with it, I think they complement each other well and the loadout still isn't too expensive. That's a great gun review right here! I have a suggestion regarding your stats graph though. It doesn't really make sense to mark damage on a scale from 0 to 150 because half of that scale would never be used, not by a firearm. I mean the lowest damage numbers we have are Bornheim and Derringer, right? Also you get a problem of representing things when damage approaches 150. It becomes hard to make a difference when every gun is up there. I'd rather compress 0-75 range into a space between zero and the first X on a scale. Then use the rest of the scale for 75-150 range. This way the Springfield with its 132 will sit almost exactly on the 4th X on damage scale. And, for example, compact ammo revolvers will all sit around the second X on the scale. And if you split the scale into 4 segments instead of 5, you get each X to align with a nice damage number. 75-100-125-150.
When I did a full prestige with the Springfield I would start Springfield pax, both bleed. As soon as I got the traits in would be a Springfield marksman paired with a Romero hatched.
Springfield/Hand Crossbow half or full poisoned. 1.) It’s extremely cheap. 2.) This allows poison to stop regen, cause hearing issues, and peripheral vision issues if they don’t have antidote (thx to debuffs of antidotes, it’s more plausible). This allows a chance for Springfield to kill without regen causing issues. Also can help with escape for reloads and positioning. 3.) Also you can use gas clouds of poison bolts for zoning and area denial. Doorways, windows, even denying revives for a time is ridiculous. 4.) the Springfield with bleed is nutty combination since you can use poison to stop healing shots. They truly have to take the bleed and chance of increased bleed status. The con is that because antidotes took a hit, mithrildist is actually useful. Half duration can really make the difference in their survival. Coupled with bloodless and an active antidote and they won’t be hurting much at all. So it’s good idea to at least take another tool for breaking away. Concertina traps might be heard but after they are placed between you and them, they aren’t going to take that route quickly. Flare pistol adds a fire option as well as explosive barrel threat to the enemy. Even with salve skin, fire is a panic inducer and the fear of losing health bars is on the mind.

Ich hoffe, dass hiervon noch viele kommen, vor allem für die ganzen speziellen Waffen (Bogen, Avto, etc.) Allerdings muss ich Dir in einer Hinsicht bezgl. der Springfield mit Explosive widersprechen. Gerade im Team von 2 oder 3 ist Explosive Ammo als Fenster-/Türbrecher genial! Quartermaster -> Vetterli + springfield compact deadeye mit bleed + explosive. Du kommst zum Boss Compound, dieser wurde gebanished und alle Fenster sind zu, der Gegner fühlt sich sicher. Der/die Teammates laufen in die nähe der fenster, kochen die granate, du schießt aus entfernung mit explosive das fenster auf und in dem moment fliegt vom Teammate die granate rein. Das klappt fast jedes Mal! Deswegen ist Explosive Ammo für die Springfield eher ein Tool. Insoweit gibt es aber auch sonst keine Waffe (außer den explosive Crossbow oder die Nitro) wo Explosive Ammo wirklich etwas taugt oder den Aufpreis rechtfertigt. Mach weiter so!

One of my favorite Springfield loadouts is the regular/marksman with the officer, a classic some would say. But that isn't very budget so recently I have replaced the officer with the conversion for less expense. Thanks for making a video on imo the best single shot rifle, can't wait for the next video in this new series.
I feel personally attacked, Mike. 🤣 I bring explosive ammo with my Springfield every time. Being able to blow open doors and windows on a sealed-up boss lair, being able to blow away concertina wire, exploding red and yellow barrels with one shot... I find explosive ammo SUPER useful! 🤠

I don't really care about the hammer since I also play lots of Sparks (would love a Gun review: Sparks Edition!) Springfield is in my opinion the best bang for your buck rifle if you know how to play it right.

Springfield marksman with bleed rounds is so fun to play. I pair it with a pax most of the time with bleed rounds too, but I sometimes take it with normal to get light pen for pressure

The Springfield was one of my favorite weapons. It's cheap, effective, has good iron sights and sounds great.
Springfield taught me to get behind cover between shots, something I wouldn't do with Winfield/mosin etc. Great gun.

It sucks at mid-range because medium ammo sucks at mid-range. You have to put bleed ammo on it to be useful, which adds $100 hunt dollars. Stupid gun.

Weapon reviews are normally opinions but you did a great job explaining the stats some of the pitfalls well put together. And when i have quartermaster or even if i go double medium i am bringing a mini springie with dum dum and explosive as an opening and then bang with something else plus the hip fire on the springfield is SOOOOOOO GOOD and very accurate also has the SMALLEST crosshair in the game NATIVELY most people don't notice. So REMINDING people of that is very valueable. Good video Mike, daddy likes.

This is an absolutely amazing video and great format IMO. The star graph was actually pretty nice since it makes sense and can be used for an overall 'power' view of the weapon. As someone still very new to the game, I greatly appreciate this and hope you make more of these gun reviews!
I've been essentially running a "Teche Wraith" loadout with the Springfield compact striker and some conversion pistols, and it's given me a huge appreciation for the Springfield as a whole. Really solid gun that often surprises me with how reliable it is in many situations I find myself in.
The "ironsight" part is great. that helps a lot to have examples of how much you have to lead with a specific weapon. you should intergate that into every gunreview you make. it helps so much to see it while calmly observing someone elses gameplay instead of having to figure it out during the intensity of a fight. also, if i miss i dont know if i took too much or not enough lead... it really helps a lot to see the right amount!

Good overall review of the springfield. It is dirt cheap and can easily fit into many budget loadouts. DumDum rounds in the springfield is likely the one gun those bullets are near enough made for, while penetration is nice to have it is often not worth it on low rate of fire weapons so losing penetration isn't an issue but what helps make this gun shine is how nicely it plays with loadouts. Taking a pax or Scottfield means with it means you will near never run out of ammo for it and personally more of a fan of having the secondary be more of an extra reserve of standard medium ammo, not special.
I would say that it does take getting used it as mentioned, did find myself in early days of hunt thinking it wasn't good but now...well I find myself having to figure out why I would take something else over it. Ofcourse if you have unlimited funds, it falls over a little but when you consider this in the world of budget it is the premium range weapon of choice as you have the trinity of winfield, springfield and romero which all 3 of those weapons also come with their own suite of variants to pick from (Romero Hachet imo is the best). While it may not be long ammo, bring able to headshot from 200m is still further than most engagements you will have in hunt and even when sniping you will be hard pressed to find angles consistently that get that distance so if you want to snipe but don't want to take special ammo for the Winfield, Springfield covers that cleanly.
When talking loadouts, with a budget of 275 (I like to consider budget loadouts as costing the same as an uppercut or less) you can fit springfields into that range cleanly and nicely with a good range of options for tools and utility. To be honest, you may find yourself often spending more on your sidearm than your main weapon slot with this gun.
Also do not underestimate the compact versions of this gun. They still headshot well, and the deadeye compact is surprisingly good.
Finally, the big selling point is that 2 second reload. Fastest of all the single shot rifles in the game, you may find yourself not enjoying the sparks purely because of that sloth pace 4 second reload on it. To me, I find the Martini Henry and Springfield far superior to the sparks just for the fact that to me, somehow 4 seconds is just too long but 3 is fine and 2 seconds is barely notable (sometimes feels like I fire just as fast with a springfield as I do with the bolt-action rifles).
Springfield compact (half bleed), bow with half frag is very fun. Tag with bleed and then bombard with frags when they take cover. Situational but funny.
Springfield compact (always half bleed), rival handcannon with slugs is very good but no longer as budget ofc.
For the deadeye compact I think dualies work best together with it. Scottfields are nice but you have to embrace the rng or take tomahawks or a derringer to have something as a last ditch close range clutch.
Nice to see a springfield video, Mike. One of my favorite guns, its just so fun and the reload animation is so satisfying for some reason
This was great, I know it takes a lot of time and work to thatch together gun reviews (or any video I suppose). So I always appreciate when you manage to put one out. I've been playing the game for while now, and I still watch anything about reviewing guns or going over mechanics of the game because there is always more to glean from well constructed material from a cold set of eyes.

When my hunter gets quartermaster, its always double Scott swifts with any of the large slot springfields with bleed ammo, very strong close and solid medium, okish long range.

Been running the springfield the last couple day, half regular half bleed, with a scottfield variant depending on my traits. I love the thing, been popping heads with it left and right. It and the martini are the only two guns that I get consistent headshots with.

I usually pick a regular springfield and a cheap pistol with normal ammo when I get low on funds. It's great for collecting better weapons and money. Only downside for me is the damage drop-off. Definately have to try it with bleed ammo as well!
I dont play the Springfield a lot, but had a few free hunter with the regular one. I was very suprised about the gun, so i will give it a chance next time in the bayou. Btw you do a great job, very nice idea with the spider web, the videos and the moderation are very professional.

Springfield Compact Deadeye paired with Bow is one of my favourite Loadouts.
Having that pocket sniper to to scout out compounds really helps as a solo.
I'd love if you keep doing reviews on all the weapons! Its so nice to have a in depth video on the different weapons, especially from someone with this amount of game knowledge.

thanks mike ;:) regular normal springfield with bleed/normal bullet is one of my fav guns atm . i usually play it with a pax+bleed to finish up and if i get fanning i like the scottfield swift with nromal ammo (around 30 bullets for fast reload) knuckleknive, medkit, throwing axes , choke , first round 2xsmall hp syringe , big stamina shot and a hellfire bomb , later big hp syringe, big regen shot , hellfire and a stamine . spingfield is just good against people who are pushing you .

Mike, thank you for the great content as always. One thing though, at 26:15 you said the vitality shot doesn't stop bleeding, but I think it does, it did for me at least. Please test it out when you can and see what you find :)
Only the heal stops the bleed. *taking* the shot doesn't

This is a great video! I also think the Springfield is underrated and a very good weapon. I like that you mentioned how it handles for beginners because I feel like it takes a bit to get used to and that using the Springfield early on makes the other single shot rifles easier to use in the long run.
The Springfield and either a silenced nagant pistol, or an uppercut to help land that further to reach shot after tagging someone with the Springfield. All around though I love the video. Keep doing this series!
Springfield Compact dum dum and Dual Conversions with FMJ is probably my favorite budget loadout right not. Hit someone with Dum Dum, They take cover and you just spam into the cover with FMJ. Even if you miss your FMJ shots a lot of times they panic and bleed out anyways

Funny you mention it, one of my favorite super budget solo load outs is Springfield Compact Striker with sawed-off caldwell shotgun. Also, loved the “spider web” for the weapon, definitely more of those in the future!

So a Springfield Loadout I really like to play is , a Full Springfield with half bleed and a Lemat FMJ with Fanning.
So when people hide behind cover to stop the bleeding they're easy wallbangs.
Ofc it also works with any other secondary that has access to FMJ
I never really need the extra bleed rounds from bringing a Pax and having the extra pen is really helpful when they hide to stop the bleed in compound fights
As a general tip, start with springfield if you want to move onto long ammo guns later like a mosin but fear losing your gun and your hunt dollars if you die. Springfiled is cheap so doesn't matter even if you lose your hunter.. Once you get the hang of spring, you can try martini henry and then sparks and then mosin/lebel!
As you asked for Springfield loadouts:
How about a Sparks with a compact Springfield with half normal or bleed and half explosive ammo. The point is to tap the hunter in the chest with sparks, then try to shoot them with the springfield but if they hide behind a cover, swap ammo and hit them with the splash damage of explosive
that used to be a thing for a while in game, back before they nerfed explosive ammo. used to be pretty powerful.

Bro i aint even gonna lie, I thought the springfield sucked for a long time, but after this video its become one of my favorites since i love using the pax and the spitfire. Make more of these please!!
Springfield is a weird weapon for me. I really don't like it that much, and I hate the compact variants, but the marksman variant is in my opinion one of the most cost effective weapon in the game. It shoots fast for a single shot rifle, bleed ammo rocks, the velocity is comparable to sparks (on normal ammo ofc) and you get a shittonne of ammo for it. Springfield Marksman probably earned me more money on solo hunts that any other weapon.
I havent used the marksman variant much, but this video has inspired me to give the marksman variant a try

Love these kinda videos, even as an experienced player it gives me some great ideas and makes me want to revisit some old springfield loadouts I haven't touched in ages. I love the info-graph, easy way to convey a lot of info, hope to see more in the future. One of my favorite springfield setups is sparks with springfield striker with double explosive. Hardly ever works but a good meme for every once in a while.

Pretty good review Mike ! I love the graphic for the "plus" and "cons" of the weapon but I couldn't really picture the damage drop off clearly if I make sense ? (That graphic was a little busy with informations even if you cleared it up with your explanations). The Springfield is one of my favorite guns in Hunt, I like to pick a LeMat revolver to go with it, I think they complement each other well and the loadout still isn't too expensive. That's a great gun review right here! I have a suggestion regarding your stats graph though. It doesn't really make sense to mark damage on a scale from 0 to 150 because half of that scale would never be used, not by a firearm. I mean the lowest damage numbers we have are Bornheim and Derringer, right? Also you get a problem of representing things when damage approaches 150. It becomes hard to make a difference when every gun is up there.
I'd rather compress 0-75 range into a space between zero and the first X on a scale. Then use the rest of the scale for 75-150 range. This way the Springfield with its 132 will sit almost exactly on the 4th X on damage scale. And, for example, compact ammo revolvers will all sit around the second X on the scale. And if you split the scale into 4 segments instead of 5, you get each X to align with a nice damage number. 75-100-125-150.
When I did a full prestige with the Springfield I would start Springfield pax, both bleed. As soon as I got the traits in would be a Springfield marksman paired with a Romero hatched.
Overall really great review with a wonderful format.
Springfield/Hand Crossbow half or full poisoned.
1.) It’s extremely cheap.
2.) This allows poison to stop regen, cause hearing issues, and peripheral vision issues if they don’t have antidote (thx to debuffs of antidotes, it’s more plausible). This allows a chance for Springfield to kill without regen causing issues. Also can help with escape for reloads and positioning.
3.) Also you can use gas clouds of poison bolts for zoning and area denial. Doorways, windows, even denying revives for a time is ridiculous.
4.) the Springfield with bleed is nutty combination since you can use poison to stop healing shots. They truly have to take the bleed and chance of increased bleed status.
The con is that because antidotes took a hit, mithrildist is actually useful. Half duration can really make the difference in their survival. Coupled with bloodless and an active antidote and they won’t be hurting much at all. So it’s good idea to at least take another tool for breaking away. Concertina traps might be heard but after they are placed between you and them, they aren’t going to take that route quickly. Flare pistol adds a fire option as well as explosive barrel threat to the enemy. Even with salve skin, fire is a panic inducer and the fear of losing health bars is on the mind.

Allerdings muss ich Dir in einer Hinsicht bezgl. der Springfield mit Explosive widersprechen. Gerade im Team von 2 oder 3 ist Explosive Ammo als Fenster-/Türbrecher genial!
Quartermaster -> Vetterli + springfield compact deadeye mit bleed + explosive.
Du kommst zum Boss Compound, dieser wurde gebanished und alle Fenster sind zu, der Gegner fühlt sich sicher. Der/die Teammates laufen in die nähe der fenster, kochen die granate, du schießt aus entfernung mit explosive das fenster auf und in dem moment fliegt vom Teammate die granate rein. Das klappt fast jedes Mal!
Deswegen ist Explosive Ammo für die Springfield eher ein Tool.
Insoweit gibt es aber auch sonst keine Waffe (außer den explosive Crossbow oder die Nitro) wo Explosive Ammo wirklich etwas taugt oder den Aufpreis rechtfertigt.

One of my favorite Springfield loadouts is the regular/marksman with the officer, a classic some would say. But that isn't very budget so recently I have replaced the officer with the conversion for less expense. Thanks for making a video on imo the best single shot rifle, can't wait for the next video in this new series.
I feel personally attacked, Mike. 🤣 I bring explosive ammo with my Springfield every time. Being able to blow open doors and windows on a sealed-up boss lair, being able to blow away concertina wire, exploding red and yellow barrels with one shot... I find explosive ammo SUPER useful! 🤠

Springfield marksman with bleed rounds is so fun to play. I pair it with a pax most of the time with bleed rounds too, but I sometimes take it with normal to get light pen for pressure
