I'm currently building a Phase 2 clone as well! I'm nearing the part where I'm going to be adding electronics to my helmet, so I've been checking out various fan setups. Great job! Always nice to see fellow clone builders!
Just got mine in today from David and I love it! got around my glasses wearing issue by using old combat helmet pads I got during my time in the army and using my gas mask glasses inserts, works great all I need now is a fan
Wish you had recorded the process of you cutting the helmet and the placing of the magnets. You couldn't even see the cuts once you were wearing the helmet... Great job 👌
I love this! Great to see someone also from the UK doing it. Did your helmet come with the visor already or did you buy one? I've ordered some tinted acrylic but I'm not sure if it'll work.
Pretty sure it came with it and just needed installing :) Tinted acrylic should work. Usually quite thick so will need some time heating before it can be bent to shape. Best to have something to shape over, like a small bin
@@BucketheadStudios Yeah, it's 3mm thick, I couldn't find any of the visors that most of the American builders use. I'm sure I'll find something to shape it on! Thanks.
A few places, mine was from Dave's Armoury in Italy, there's also the Force Forum, EVO3, guys on the 501st clone trooper forum, original master replicas helmets and a handful of others depending on where you are.
Join some groups on Facebook, there's specific ones for Star Wars helmets where people sell them, or check some people on Instagram. Theres Dave's Armory, Samoilovart off the top of my head for a realistic phase 2. Would recommend resin cast or fibreglass over any 3d printed kits
Fine saw like blades for an xacto style handle, believe they call them keyhole saw blades, and a ton of patience xD but has a very small kerf this way. Neodymium magnets, mine are 6mm with square profile and oblong shaped, ideal for securing in with bondo etc.
Thanks for the video brother! I'm finishing my 212th helmet (I think I bought the same kit) and this is a real help!! What's your username in the CTN forums??
The magnetic faceplate is really awesome. Excellent job.

Cool, just checked out your channel, new sub from me :)
What did you end up doing for your fan setup? I have a flametrooper helmet that I'm currently working on which is in dire need of fans

Thank the gods! I have finally found a video of someone doing a full inside install for a Phase 2 trooper
This is beautiful and what a great idea with the fans will most definitely be doing this with my own helmet
A great idea with the segmented helmet
Ingenious solution & great looking helmet 👍

I know, wasn't really making videos back then. If you check a newer video of my Clone Pilot I cover it a little more, as I did it again 🙂
Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago. Stumbled back across it now. Quality content. I'm subbed :)
DeltaWolf1000 Awesome thank you :)

Whose kit did you use? I know you said David but any chance you remember his member name? It is a really nice sculpt
Tk1389/Davide Sagaramello I believe. Was originally bought from the Clone Trooper forum, but he has a fb page now.
@@BucketheadStudios thanks a lot
What fans did you use? I clicked your link but I don’t see them anymore
I believe the term is a squirrel cage laptop fan. That should find you the type of fan. Mine were bought as a kit together 🙂
Is that link free?
Do you know where I can buy one?

just curious, wad is ur height? im afraid that the helmet might be too big for me
I'm about 179cm or 5'10 ½, so about 6' in the whole costume 🙂
How can I get a kit like this?

I'm curious, did you just use a dremel to remove the front part of helmet? I've just got a helmet in and may need to do a similar cut.
No, the face off was with a fine saw blade in a hobby knife, and a couple of hours cutting carefully 😅
Buckethead Props Gotcha. Thank you.
Firstly what did you use to cut the front off like that and what type of magnets are you using to keep it together

What for magnets do you use?
Neodymium magnets

Thank you :D yeah it's a great kit to work with. Go by sketcherdan on most forums I'm on, including CTN :D
