Avon Valley National Park is located approximately 47 kilometeres North East of Perth in Western Australia. The Avon River flows through the area with high granite outcrops which offer panoramic views over the Avon Valley and Moondyne area.
The area was used by the infamous bushranger Moondyne Joe as a hide-out. Moondyne Joe was an English convict and a well known bushranger.
