Andrew David Scott is a Welsh musician and songwriter. He is best known for being the lead guitarist and a backing vocalist in the band Sweet. Following bassist Steve Priest's death in June 2020, Scott is the last surviving member of the band's classic lineup

Excellent interview with Andy, great to hear stories about the band I grew up with, it brings back memories of waiting for new songs in the days when you couldn't just go online and download! Quality interview with one of Britain's finest musicians singer songwriter. First saw sweet back in 73,,. Saw the original band three times,saw Andy's latest line up last Christmas on the tour andy mentions in interview. Check out all sweet albums filled with some absolute gems

Andy was the smartest business guy in the band. Steve hated talking about the classic Sweet, Mick seemed indifferent, and Brian? But Andy never tired of talking about his experiences. He always knew that it would be the main event of his life, if you listen to all his interviews, he never gets pissed or upset at being asked the same questions, year after year after year after year after year, year after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, well you get it lol
I don't feel like Mick was indifferent. The clips I've seen of him have been very forthcoming. He was such a gentleman, he usually tried to accommodate people I've heard.

Andy must have mellowed because he used to take any opportunity to criticize the classic Sweet line up. Now he just never mentions them.
He's never done such a thing. In fact, he mentions the old band every time, he even does so on stage. He dedicates Love is Like Oxygen to the old band every night.
