1. ABSOLUTELY. I store under vacuum. I always use the PURE vacuum pump that removes the MOST oxygen learn more at ua-cam.com/video/yVrwOcSunZI/v-deo.html 2. Is it ok to store without vacuum blending? I would say NO. I do not recommend juicing with a traditional blender, due to all the dissolved oxygen put INTO your blended mixture. 3. YES, when you squeeze it out and pouring, minimal oxygen is introduced into the juice. the MOST oxygen would have been introduced during BLENDING since you are FORCING oxygen into the mixture. I remove this minimal oxygen by removing it with the #1 MVP pump.

John, will you ever do a test to see how much vacuum different blenders and lids pull? I believe it's simply just a matter of placing a vacuum gauge inside the carafe and then starting the vacuum. Maybe use 2 or 3 different brand/model gauges since they can vary in accuracy & precision and they're small so it should be easy to "throw" multiple ones in each carafe
No. It doesn't work that way. You can pull air out of the juice AFTER it is made, which is good to store longer, but the issue is that most of the damage and (air) is being done DURING the juicing process, not after, IMO.
I'm keeping my vitamix + void setup --waiting for the Nama C2 with vacuum to be released. Don;t know if it's in development but it must be, it's the obvious next level.
The idea is get to get as much greens/veggies/some fruit into you as possible. it is not possible to "eat" enough produce WITH the fiber, which you are doing if you do not remove the pulp. I do both- extraction juicing and blended juice with fiber. John does this too. Plus I eat a lot of raw veggies and other vegetarian food with fiber. There IS such a thing as too much fiber. This is a way to get even more nutrients, using a variety of food prep methods.
there are pros and cons to removing the fiber. Main Pro: Removing fiber allows you to get more "greens in you", in addition, juice is better and faster absorbed into the body, and will achieve higher tissue levels of nutrients in greens. Main Con: You are missing the fiber. that being said, I prefer to eat salads and steamed veggies as WELL as GREEN juices to ensure I am getting enough greens and vegetables in me, which is one of the most nutritious food categories on the planet.
Hi John, I've been following your videos for a few years now and I find that some of them are very helpful to me. As for me, I've been selling slow juicers for 13 years, and vacuum blenders for seven. I find that there is one important piece of information that is missing about the vacuum, and the information is how much air you are taking out from the container, the pressure that you make is measurable, and it should be mentioned in the specification of the product. when such information is unavailable to me it is a sign that the pressure is not good. to remove about 80% of the air, the pressure should be -80 KPA (-0.8 bar), and any less than 70% is a weak vacuum. the one you are using in this video is an outside application, with a rechargeable battery and a small motor pump, which, from my knowledge and experience will do around 40% only. this will make an impact on the loss of nutrition
Thank you for your wise comments. I have tested ALL the vacuum blenders I promote in the video: ua-cam.com/video/KtfqFThNZvs/v-deo.html where I show the actual KPA. Just because the pump is internal or external does not matter so much, it really depends on the DESIGN of the pump. I do agree there should be MORE vacuum than less, and I encourage manufacturers to pull more vacuum.
Thank you for amazing reviews! Could you please review Froothie Evolve? It’s the first high-speed glass(!) vacuum blender. I am considering to buy, they claim they reach 80 kPa with the pump (~24 inch merc) - could you please review this machine?
IMO YES, why? 1. larger carafe with wide base that can make a higher yield and blend easier 2. pre-programmed cycles, so it can pulse blend and then blend automatically without you having to manually do it. Watch ua-cam.com/video/CSyS8QJfMNs/v-deo.html where I demonstrate this
Batch juicing wise, considering that I have the pure juicer, will this be more efficient to work in tandem for juicing than just the slow juicer alone?
Vacuum juicing IMO is a SLOW way to make juice, since there are several steps: precutting produce, pulse blending, pressing out juice, and repeating. I am significantly faster bulk juicing with the Nama J2. This is why I stopped Vacuum juicing, since it would take me much longer. During the pandemic I only vacuum juiced, since I had more time, produce cost more and was not easily available sometimes. These days I normally vacuum juice only when I have expensive ingredients or want to maximize nutrient extraction.
Hi John ~ when this new Void vacuum lid you're beta testing in this video becomes available, will it be the lid that Void includes in their Vitamix vacuum kit? Or will it only be available separately? Do you think this new lid's incrementally better vacuum is worth the extra money? And thanks for this video ~ as always, incredibly informative! 🤗
It will be available separately. Most people will be fine with the normal lid, as there is only an incremental increase in vacuum, for most people, they will not discern a difference, but for HARDCORE people with money, it's worth it. It is the only one I use now.
You could use that also for vacuum juicing. The Kuvings blenders tend to have smaller carafes, so they are not optimal, but they will work. Just make sure to pre-cut your produce small for best results.
@@discountjuicers thank you so much John. I have one more tricky question for you, if I want to purchase a new machine that mainly be used to make a juice, then would you recommend purchasing the one you using in this video or the Nama3? I already have a kuvings juicer which I am not a big fan of because the pulp is very wet, and a vacuum blender. I was planning to get the nama3 towards the end of the year but now I saw your video about blending and straining the juice which looks amazing especially the dry pulp. Please help. Your knowledge is appreciated. Thank you. 🙏🏻
@@fredacharbel7510 Do you realize that the J3 is like the J2 only smaller. Many consider it a "travel" juicer. Whether you use a vacuum blender or a juicer to juice is personal preference. John mentions in this video that the J2 is his favorite juicer. Useful if you plan to make any significant quantity of juice. As seen in this video, you're likely to be able to make only 32oz of juice at a time in the vacuum blender.
I have and use the vacuum set up that John has here, but, for me ( 70 yr old crooked fingers ), it is a Major frustration removing the lid after it has completed the cycle.just so you know.
Yes, it can be difficult to remove the lid after vacuum blending in the void systems kit. Be sure to pull the red tab up to pull it off. Also you can request from VOID systems their "easy removal" gasket that will make it easier to remove the lid, but may not seal as well (to achieve as high # when vacuuming the carafe based on my testing)
The Void Blender or Lid Kit for Vitamix or Blendtec have their own set of pros and cons compared to other vacuum blenders. Please watch ua-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/v-deo.html for my full review
Best way to clean those bags? Guess i cant toss them in the washing machine with detergent and such, does it get clean hand washing it with just hot water?
I spray them down with high pressure water to clean, and they are clean. Putting them in the washing machine would likely cause them to fail prematurely.
I recommend FREEZING the bags after rinsing thoroughly with just cold water. No soap. Freezing kills bacteria as effectively and easier than cleaning as hot water.
I have a 10-12 year old Blendtec, designer series, came with a twister jar and wideside jar.. been in Storage and barely used, just started using... will the Void lid work with this, and will the wideside jar hold up to the vacuum?
YES! the void system lid will work. Provided the carafe bearing/seals are in good shape, it will hold vacuum. Watch ua-cam.com/video/O9dbDd84Ey4/v-deo.html for my full video on the void systems kit to learn more
Getting the void off the juicer is ridiculously hard and impossible to hold the red valve open while pulling up. I think I am going to return it because it's so hard i have stopped using it after a few blends.
Correct, you do need to pull up the red valve while lifting off. Another tip: put a piece of paper towel or tissue to hold it up so you don't have to. Also VOID makes different gaskets that make removal easier, the downside of these gaskets is they wont achieve as much vacuum based on my testing.
@@discountjuicers Thanks for the reply. I contacted them and they said try the grey gasket. I did and it is loose enough to remove. But I was wondering why blends don't taste brighter with it. Now I see you're saying using the grey gasket reduces the vacuum
Can the Kuvings CB1000 be used for juicing as well? Also does the blending in vacuum blender heats up product inside say compared to low rpm juicer like Sana 727 so nutrients might be lost with vacuum blending there?
Yes, the CB1000 can be used for juicing as well, it does have a smaller carafe, so you cant make as much juice at once. You would also need to precut the produce as I show in this episode. In a vacuum blender, the mixture CAN heat up if you run too long, but most items only take 30 seconds to process so minimal heat is generated. Despite the minimal heat, IMO the heat is NOT as big of a problem as OXYGEN being added into the juice using a traditional blender, high speed juicer and to lesser extend slow juicer. See ua-cam.com/video/7ILENcNpVOw/v-deo.html where I compare vac juicing to sana 727 and share my thoughts.
Vacuum blending might make the most nutritious juice but I'd prefer to use the Nama J2 for convenience. You might lose out on some nutrition and less yield but the Nama still makes a very nutritious juice. 😊
Yes, the J2 makes a nutritious juice for sure, it is what I use because its easy. However, some people will "do what it takes" to make the highest yield and nutrition, so I want to show that to them so they have the option if they want.
Yes I understand John. 😊 I used to use the vacuum blending method but I then decided I preferred the ease of the Nama J2. I put the pulp of the Nama into the nut milk bag and managed to squeeze out another 150 ml of celery juice but it was oxidised sadly.
You just need to buy the VOID LID and replace your current lid. Your current carafe will work. Watch ua-cam.com/video/O9dbDd84Ey4/v-deo.html to learn more about how it works on the Blendtec.
I'd like to see your dissolved oxygen test when using vacuum, letting some other gas in (such as CO2, argon, or hydrogen, etc), vaccuming again, then blending, and then let the gas in again instead of air. And only then letting air in. Liquids absorb gasses when they come out of a vacuum.
IT would be cool to nitrogen flush or Co2 Flush blender carafes before juicing after vacuuming, but nobody makes a set up to do that. Make one and I will promote it!
@@discountjuicers have you ever had any ideas for a perfect blender? Like a vacuum blender that can also double as a press to extract the juice while still under vacuum?
@@discountjuicers One just places a plastic bag around the top and fill it with nitrogen or something else, like a balloon, then when one releases the vacuum of the blender it'll suck that instead of air.
This method of juicing makes a more nutritious juice than the X1 mini, of course, it is a lot more work. If you have a commercial business, you would want to get a good nature, since making juice like this for a business would send your labor costs thru the roof.
There are pros and cons of straining, unstrained you keep all the fiber but may not get as high absorption from some of the nutrients. By removing the fiber the juice can be more easily digested.
I bought and burned out two Vitamix blenders. The original blender was 450.00. I bought a Chinese blender for $40 delivered that is still working perfectly more than two years later and blends just as well as the Vitamix. That's right folks, a blender for 11th of the price of a Vitamix.
not at this time. My personal opinion is that they never will.. Since the WHOLE blending industry saw vacuum blenders FAIL when they tried to sell them, since they did not do the NEEDED education to teach customers WHY it is important to vacuum blend.
Enzymes are said to degrade at 118 degrees. This blended mixture gets no where near 118 degrees. You would need to blend for at least 2 minutes to generate heat.
So buying the kit for a Vitamix, is basically just using the Vitamin motor and not the Vitamin blades. But at $300 for the kit, I might as well just buy the Void blender because that's what my Vitamin cost me years ago and I thought that was too expensive at the time. The Void blender warranty period is a bit low by todays standards, that's disappointing. It's all just is so friggin expensive and I have to wonder how much better blending under vacuum really is for you in the long term, because by the time the body fully digests the drink it's been exposed to oxygen during the process. I'm confused how a knife never needs sharpening, that's just impossible. But for long term use, a ceramic knife isn't practical because of how easily they chip and break and for their price, it's just not cost effective. So you only consume raw foods. I don't know if I could ever not have mashed/whipped or baked potatoes, that would be tough for me. But honestly this video went 50% longer than it needed to be because the same material was repeated over and over again. Still gave you a thumbs up though.
I simply don't understand. What is the difference between hurom H70 and H400. Why has company launched the product hurom H70 when there is nothing new in it comparable to hurom H400!!
I will have a comparison on this soon. The H70 IMO is an upgrade over the H400, due to some changes. That being said, I do agree, hurom comes out with TOO many models TOO often that can confuse customers.
@@discountjuicers also Hurom H300 which is similar to H400 but smaller than h400 is already in market. Than why Hurom H70, like Hurom H300 has launched?

@@chevelleflorida yes got it. And thanks for your response.
I ordered the Nama J2 because I juice twice a day. Thanks again.
Hey where do i get those ceramic knives?

Is void blenders better than all blenders n vacuum blenders
The Void Blender or Lid Kit for Vitamix or Blendtec have their own set of pros and cons compared to other vacuum blenders. Please watch ua-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/v-deo.html for my full review
The ceramic knives can micro chip and when that ends up in your food it can be really bad for your insides
Best way to clean those bags? Guess i cant toss them in the washing machine with detergent and such, does it get clean hand washing it with just hot water?
I's just rinse them right away, see if they get clean. I'd be wary of having detergent residue on the cloth.
Is there a nut bag press on the market?
Not that I am aware of, if you find one let me know!
I have a BLENDTEC I don’t know if it will work with my BLENDTEC?
YES! Will work with your blendtec. You just need to buy the lid watch ua-cam.com/video/O9dbDd84Ey4/v-deo.html to learn more.
@@SashaOster did you decide to keep it with the gray gasket? Or are you returning it? You have to pay shipping to return it, correct?
Thx John however way 2 much work when I can get faster and easier juice with my Nama juicer
$300 for a retrofit kit is way overpriced. The Vitamix itself is $300 at Costco when they have a road sale. $199 yeah but not $300. smh
Where can I road sale for this appliance
Nah, I love my blendtec no kit for that?
You just need to buy the VOID LID and replace your current lid. Your current carafe will work. Watch ua-cam.com/video/O9dbDd84Ey4/v-deo.html to learn more about how it works on the Blendtec.
John will this kit work with the Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender?
Yes
Any vacuum options for vitamix accent yet?
I wish.

Thank you and I love you
is this compatible with the vitamix 5200?
Yes!
CAN IT COMPARE TO THE GOODNATURE x-1 mini!! CAN U HELP ME BE4I BUY
This method of juicing makes a more nutritious juice than the X1 mini, of course, it is a lot more work. If you have a commercial business, you would want to get a good nature, since making juice like this for a business would send your labor costs thru the roof.
@@discountjuicers THX U STAY BLESSED
Is it really that bad if you just don’t strain it? That, and losing the valuable fiber when you strain it.
We don't believe you.Name that blender!!
Where can we buy this blender?
Yes which one from china
I don't remember the name of the company cuz I never keep records of bad things like that, the name on the blender is Faith ark.
@@Dstylz GFYS a-hole.
This guy is so high on green juice😂😂😂😂😂
Great blender❤
Doesn’t Vitamix sell a Vacuum blender?
not at this time. My personal opinion is that they never will.. Since the WHOLE blending industry saw vacuum blenders FAIL when they tried to sell them, since they did not do the NEEDED education to teach customers WHY it is important to vacuum blend.
umm no
Lol
What about the Heat Generated??? those enzymes are heat Labile.............
Enzymes are said to degrade at 118 degrees. This blended mixture gets no where near 118 degrees. You would need to blend for at least 2 minutes to generate heat.
Have your health improved?
How to email John private msg?
Thanks!
Sherwin Williams paint strainer bag works great as well less than $5bucks
✨🗣can we make date butter with Nama j2✨
would not recommend the dates will get too gummy, and probably clog juicer and will be difficult to take apart.
It's juice people, calm down. It's just juice.
Buddy the Tristan plastic can be bad in sun or above 150 degrees it will give things bad for us!
Than why Hurom H70, like Hurom H300 has launched?

the bitterness is from the cucumbers. they are horrible batch now. avoid cucumber.

John been watching your videos for years. When did your view on the vacuum juice blending become your number one juicing way . Even after you done the video with the vacuum craft that can fit on the Vitamixa few years ago You still was not making that point
Started during the pandemic when I visited the Blendtec Factory in Utah, and I was exposed to vacuum juicing. I have many videos on vacuum juicing I have made since that time.
This is precisely why I’ve always been a proponent of blending in outer space.
Can u please donate the vacuum.blender to me ..I'm terminally ill and maybe this will help
