How to Install an iO Shutter Switch with Master - Simon 270 | IGSA

Would you like to control your blinds from two different points? This is a convenient possibility that you will have at hand with the mechanisms of the Simon 270 series. Specifically, with a switching involving an iO shutter switch and an iO shutter master switch. In this video we explain how to install it.
The steps you need to follow to install a master iO shutter switch with toggle are:
1) Disconnect the house circuit breaker before handling the installation, in order to work safely
2) Assemble the frame
3) Wire the neutral
4) Wire the phase
5) Orient the mechanism according to the TOP indication
6) Mount the mechanism on the frame
7) Assemble the frame
8) Connect the circuit breaker to restore power and test the system
What tools will you need to install this blind switch? In reality, you will only need a few screwdrivers, which in the case of the video demonstration are:
- A flat screwdriver to mount the frame to the built-in box
- A small star screwdriver to wire the neutral and the phase, since the wiring system used is a screw
Scissors or another cutting tool can be added to this, in case you need to strip the wires. The rest of the steps described can be done by hand, with pressure fixing.
Also, at the end of the video we show you a short demonstration of how it works:
- With a press on the key, the blinds are lowered
- With another push on the same switch, the descent stops
- Press the other switch to raise the blinds
