      Hi, power is one of the limiting factors when overclocking. The 7940x can easily pull up to 600watts by itself with an overclock and running AVX types of instruction sets. Additionally, the GPU can pull up to around 300watts before hitting voltage limitations (I power modded this GPU) so at full tilt this work station could theoretically pull over 1kW, however I can't think of a workload that would symmetrically load the CPU/GPU in that way. Under gaming loads, video editing, or benchmarks I usually see around 600watts, and is why I chose to use an 850watt PSU.
