I always knew bout these guys but ngl they were always mid to me. Then i saw them few days ago at echo here in socal and they blew me away. Amazing live, voc has a good sense of humor. Just a wall of dripping riffs. Gonna start listening to these guys records.

I've only been watching the Festival for a few years but it seems like rights/distribution issues?
Maybe AS/their label only owns the rights to the performances for so long?
At least this year the performances stayed up longer or were re-uploaded later,but most are taken down again
It's frustrating because most of the performances (especially last year) are so good,give people a chance to discover new music and are more than worth revisiting
Is their guitar tuning standard tuning but just one octave down ?
I was wondering if an evertune bridge would work with it and how they use / what tuning pedals etc.
It’s mostly F sharp. Tyrant is higher, Magus is lower. And then there’s the “Chaos Wizard” tuning…

@@whitheringstudios I've been looking for a description of the Chaos Wizard tuning, but couldn't find one. Could you please let me know what it is? I'd love to try it out, I already moved down to G# and F# because of Thou and I was genuinely suprised, how good a standard stock guitar can sound with strings tuned so low. I love it! Also - love your music, it's amazing, hope to see you in Poland someday. Peace and love!

Yeah, hopefully. These are rough versions of some songs intended for a new record of some kind. Got sidelined to finish up the NORCO record and the Mizmor collaboration.

Album is out now, f***in awesome songs. Thou, I prefer the live sound of the songs that this clip has, over the album released. "Ubilical" has the horrible mastering sound to it, that bands are charmed to love in the studio listening room. Cmon, release an unmastered version, skip the brick limter and hard compressors ffs...

Did y'all rewrite the last 2 songs into the song you played at Siberia the other night?
We played The Promise, Lonely Vigil, and House of Ideas the other night. They've all been tweaked a bit. Still chipping away at the lyrics for The Promise. We added an outtro to House of Ideas that I was working on for another record (where we also stole Loney Vigil from). Hopefully, we'll have a couple more new ones for the April shows. Peace to you.
