The main gold mine is at Vatukoula on Viti Levu (the main Island) It's an operational mine and the one we were near is a gold/copper mine under exploration. Hi and thanks for your comments. There are a couple of big gold mines here. Is hard work finding it in the creeks though. A lot of digging for not much return. I have a pic of some gold on my Instagram page of a few weekends digging. I need to put that video up yet, have been to busy with work to edit it. There is a big US Embassy here plus some US companies, so wasn't really surprised to find a US coin. Have a wonderful weekend, Natalie 🌺🙋🏻♀️🌞

There's a copper/gold exploration dig up the road, and another gold mine on the other side of the island which is still operating. Might have to try the creeks closer to the mines. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞
