It's incredibly useful... You can start scanning around restaurants and figuring out the relationship between any given two people at a particular table. Figure out if your boss hates you. Know if the girl/guy you're chatting up secretly thinks you're an idiot.
It's not by any means an exact 100% science, and again, it changes between strangers and friends. But that's probably the biggest tool I could recommend you get into your mind's body-reading tool box.
