The guitarist Andrew writes the symphonic/orchestral pieces for the band

Isn't Andrew writing the orchestral parts ?

Came here to say this. They do NOT send it off. Adam comes with the melody and Andrew does the the rest of the orchestral stuff.

    • @BrianHeise1983
      @BrianHeise1983 Рік тому +11

From the interviews I've seen with Adam, he comes up with the ideas/melodies and then tells Andrew (the other guitarist) what he's kind of envisioning to go with it. Andrew takes it from there and then along with their producer Josh they work out all of the orechestral pieces, synths, and choir sampling. Andrew has posted some of the orchestral stuff without the guitars and drums and early versions on his insta. It's crazy how talented all 5 of these dudes are.

Listening to all three songs back to back is an experience unlike any other for me. I'm not really a deathcore person, but this was just a thing of beauty that transcends genre, imo. Great reaction, fellas, as always!

yeah I think that speaks volumes to how good LS are too. I've never been into Deathcore myself but I've loved everything they've put out since Will joined the band. Pain Remains 1 is still my favorite of the 3, but man the trilogy is incredible.

Guitarist Andrew O'connor does most of the symphonic and orchestral compositions as I understand.

Him and Josh Schroeder (their producer) did it all in tandem according to an AMA he just did. They draw a lot of inspiration from the Soulsborne games and it’s very apparent lol.

I love how they bring back in the melody from the intro of Pain Remains 1 for that lull before the final build up. This song gives me chills

All the scenes of the two together were bright lights and bright colors. Him by himself was always dark light and dark colors.

December 9th and I haven’t stopped with this album. Honestly this trilogy is a masterpiece

  • @MasterIceyy

Wills inspiration for the lyrics of the album come from an anime film, called Paprika, which inspired Inception, the story across the 10 songs is about a guy dissatisfied with life, dreams to escape it, eventually lucid dreaming and becoming a God, but also becoming trapped within the dream. The 3 pain remains songs are about him dreaming of a companion, so he isn't alone, only he knows it's not real, and in order to escape the world of dreams, he must destroy the world, in a sea of fire

Hehe I found the video still flashed through my mind when I listened to them back to back, it is incredible though when it's all put together, 20 minutes you will not notice passing. The rest of the album is phenomenal too, well worth diving into.

But this song well all 3 has really brought me in

Loved going through this trilogy with you two.
I feel like these three songs/videos do such a good job of showcasing how all encompassing grief can be, that it can feel like you're engulfed in it, and that you sometimes want to burn the world to the ground. So often grief is seen as just sadness but it's so much more complex than that, they've conveyed that so well.

The way that this band put together something so touching, so powerful and so diverse really showcases how talented they are.
Pain Remains is one of the biggest metal releases of the last decade in my opinion. Enjoy the album boys.

The final lines are my absolute favourite part of the song. Bringing all the songs together in the final moment.
    Dancing like flames
    After all that I've done
I'll salt the earth and disappear
    In a sea of fire
Brilliant! You can feel his anger in this last song too.

I found the two suicide attempts very different in nature. At the church he's defeated by his own grief, while the final burning seemed more confrontational as a response to his grief. It's a very Death Metal, Anton LaVey character arc. I'm not sure how I agree with it as a response, just as he was affected by her death, others will be affected by his, the problem is simply being spread. But I can accept the LaVey Satanist, kinda Death Metal protagonist victory.

We don’t do full albums. Part of the fun of this channel is the diversity between artists and genres, we also can’t always get together to shoot, so a whole session on one album just isn’t an effective use of our time at this point.

Lorna shore is my fav band of all time! ANd i love these 3 songs! But the music video gets a little repetitive for me.. they used the same "flashbacks" in all 3 of them, and it felt weird that he tried to kill himself in nr2 and then do it again in 3... terrible english but yeah
