Violette De Bordeaux, a French fig also called Negronne, is fantastic genetic dwarfing fig that makes amazing dark purple (called black) figs! Check it out!
I planted this tree from Raintree about a decade ago in my front yard in Seattle. It's about 15 feet tall, and bears regularly. The most delicious figs ever. I had to move several years ago and miss that tree!
I wouldn't say it's like a mission fig or like the cookies. It's very good jammy and sweet though. To me it had more berry notes than raisiny if that makes sense. Mine did well in the house mostly by a big picture window and outside on hot days in western WA.
Hey there. I just discovered your channel whilst researching; I'm trying to plant some more exotic and expensive trees this year. I just defer to your channel because I love the tips/facts, format/topics, length and definitely your beautiful aurora. My only critic is that the segment music is too loud in comparison to your voice. I look forward to viewing more of your videos.

Did you plant your tree in ground in PNW? Could
you harvest the fruit without any issue?

can it be multiplied from its branch like other fig or vine?
In PNW, how to prune this variety so that it grows and ripens in one season.
HI, do you export fig cuttings?
Do you have to do anything to keep it cool during August heatwaves?
Besides open the greenhouse? No! Figs love the heat!
