I want to buy a bare root Evereste. You are currently sold out. Will it produce apples in Zone 9b or 10a? Do I not have enough chill hours?
Thank you for sharing this lovely video! Awesome foliage as well.
Tried it myself. Live in the Netherlands and during a bike ride saw the apples lying on a table on the side of the road. The owners sold apples, applejuice and pears. Never heard of this apple and like to try apples i don't know, was very curious about the tast......a little bit above Cox this is the tastiest apple i have ever tried.
I'm gonna grow 🥝 from seed love you granny 😘
Can İ contact you please
Oh please tell me, can I grow them successfully in zone 7b in Upstate SC?
Great Video, if you wanted an open vase tree would you remove central leader after a couple years?
I have only one fruit i love! Muscadine grape, scuppernongs in particular. No fruit on Earth I've ever had comes close in flavor. I hope you have an opportunity to try one purple or yellow when ripened.
LOL I just "found" you! I have ordered from raintree - and here you are! I shall check now for medlars! But first - will Iranian medlars grow inPA? DO you sell them? They are supposed to be the only medlar which does not need bletting -?? thanks!
Music is too loud and is annoying
beautifull
I love your energy! ❤
You are brilliant, Video so informative and helpful…. You don’t need the background music… it’s distracting from you ❤
it is unusual since i live im USA fir 22 years ive been lolking for these, and no luck,i miss them a lot,we grew up with this delicious gem,as kids whenever grandma made bread, while is still hot, grab 3-4 squeeze then on the bread, spread it,and all you see is nice happy quiet kids, all you hear is mmmmm mmmmm, back home we have them a lot, trees everywhere, even if you go to somebody elses yard nobody will scream at you, specially if is older people yard (youndont even know the people)they kind of enjoy it to see happy kids enjoying this precious fruit,i feel sorry for Americans, they dont know what they are missing😂❤️✌🏻
Is this apple tree a standard tree or dwarf tree?
I planted 3 plum trees this past spring and added fertilizer😮😮😮,,no wander they grew 5 feet in year one😂😂,,,lots of pruning this winter❤😂
Thanks, Laura.
Konos .nameiran .guilan .astara ❤❤
What type of soil do they like
Just finished a plateful of yummy seedless elongated yellow grapes. Sweet like sugar. I wished I could dehydrate some of the few kilos that I got from the market. Googled & your channel came up. Good one & nice. But I feel puncturing them is not a great idea. Some farmers dry them in the sun. Of the dehydrator, it can be called the dryer too(not the hair dryer😅 or the xRay dryer which has been in use for decades). Tissues of frozen grapes get damaged on defreezing & may lose the juice too. Not recommended unless proved workable Bravo🎉
i am eating a raw quince while watching this in Serbia.
Does this have the "Green apple flavor" like Granny Smith and Rhode Island Greening?
Much very yes.
Hi , I had a question about my plants. I received my blackberry plants today. But some of the plants leaves looked wilted. Is this normal?
Can you plant columbia giant blackberries in pots?
Wonderful idea. Looks like it will work well!
I just managed to save my three year old pear tree from a fungal infection (by the skin of my teeth! It was really close!) I have noticed that it has begun to flower. It only started recovering three weeks ago! Should I make sure it doesn’t make fruit? I really want to make sure it put 100% of its energy into recovering, not fruit. I know how much energy that could take away from the tree.
It shouldn't even be flowering right now. I would remove the blossoms and save it's energy for survival.
@@RaintreeNursery Yeah, this weather is very screwy, again, this year. Last year, the apple tree beside the pear tree flowered in October, because it was still so warm. Didn't get usual winter temps until January and in December, my niece was outside in the sun, playing with all of her new toys on my front lawn. Autumn-planted bulbs, onions, shallots and garlic had to wait until December to be planted, because it still felt like summer right up to November! And the during the winter, we had so little rain, our damns and reservoirs were only 40% full. We've had 30-45C temps since the first week of June and a hosepipe ban since soon after that. It still has not been lifted. I live in Peyia, Cyprus.
How can the plants kill the pollinators?
Plants coated in broad spectrum insecticides are poisonous to pollinators and pests alike.
@@RaintreeNursery Also, some insecticides are systemic, and are pulled into every bit of the plant's tissue - flowers, leaves, and roots - and stay present and harmful to all insect life until everything completely composts, which can take up to 3 years!
Started with honeybees, then discovered the uber-productivity of Mason Orchard bees, now have been trying out different plantings on the edges of my garden for observing other pollinators, like wild bees and many others. I encourage others to give it a try-they are fascinating!
Always something new with Laura. Had to look this one up. Having space for two larger trees would put it out of the running for me, though.
Mine doesn't have a pollinator and produces just fine. I made jam from fruit but don't care for flavour. Beautiful tree and blooms.
I love your videos, Laura!
Super! I would like to construct this kind of area in my backyard. Chesterfield, Virginia.
I don't know why you wouldn't do waiting list. I have been on your email notification list for almost two years now. I would receive a email notification, but when I get onto your website, it is out of stock.
Please contact our customer service department and explain your circumstance, they may be able to do something for you since it's been years now.
I have 11 saplings that are 7 inches tall in a group. I obviously threw a bunch of seeds down not expecting them to come up but I’d like to separate them but heard they don’t like to be disturbed. Do you think they would be okay if I tried to separate them into pots to get rid of them? Any suggestions would help, Tia.
If you break the taproot of the seedling it will almost certainly die. Potted paw paw seedlings have the seeds sown directly into the final size pot so no repotting is required and the roots can remain undisturbed until planting.
What a lovely man and thank you for making this video.
What is the pollinator variety called?
Issai for example
So helpful. I moved away from Seattle and inherited a kiwi vine at my new home in the Balkans. This is exactly what I needed to know, and I trust Raintree, as a long-time former customer.
Thanks so much for this info! I have a seven year old tree that is bearing heavily this year, so really needed to know what to do with it. Now I do! 🙂
Do you sell those German hairy gooseberries?
She’s like the scene in When Harry met Sally. I won’t what she’s having ! 😂
only need one to make fruit? Mildew resistant?
You will need a male kiwi for pollination.
Sold out. 😥
They are showing available for pre-order currently, if you have a problem ordering just give us a call!
Zone 5 -- I’m in zone 9 will it grow here?
You bet! Zones are just about how cold it gets!

Mine get reddish color hoping I did not harvest to early this week.
I live in the PNW, and blackberries are constant threat to your yard and landscape. So i keep them out, except for one large bush just in case I want them for something. However I have never attempted anything more than just picking and eating them until this year. So far in my two attempts to make juice I seem to have failed at it. The flavor is horrible. I am "NOT" a kitchen/cook person. So my question is... In both attempts that used different boiled water methods, is it possible to actually burn the juice if it boils? Cause so far, my juice tastes like burnt dirt and sour blackberries. Yet every method says bring to a boil.
I use a steamer and steam extract the juice. You are probably burning the fruit fiber itself if you are boiling it in water. Steam extraction yields a much better result and you're going to cut it with water anyway so I don't worry about dilution. The flavor is still there.
@@RaintreeNursery Thank you for the reply! My first method was place in water and bring to a boil. Then simmer for 3-4 minutes, mash and strain. It seemed pretty violent in the pan getting them to boil. So I assumed I didn't stir them often enough, and maybe kinda charred them on the bottom of the pan. Then I used your method *which seemed more simple than a constant stir), which also mentions boiling water for about an hour, for steam extraction. So I must not know some secret way to boil water without burning it.
Thank you for the video. Question: how many lbs of fruit will a mature Viking Aronia bush produce?
Thank you! How do you clean them before storing them? Also, your pears are so clean!!! Ours tend to get buggy. Do you have any advice for bugs and cleaning after harvesting?
Amazing video! Why do you have to pasterize it and use yeast? Can you not use the actual fruit for fermenting the juice? Thank you advance.
The hat ...What is that awesome hat your wearing?????
