What made a difference in battery life on my Note 10+ was shutting off the scanning features. I usually get from 50% to a sudden drop to 15% and eventually my handset turns off. It is so silly how samsung no longer cover battery within warranty now, as just in 2020 they did and they simply cleared my most use apps and brought me to where I am now with no help. So thank you for this video It's very helpful for so many of us that samsung seems to have fobbed off. I will try this in the week and I hope it fixes my issue.
Update after trying this, it works a treat my phone is performing best it has for over a year and considering we have had cold weather it's up to near full performance. I did experience a slight issue turning my phone on when I turned my phone off to charge it up before a busy day. Eventually I booted my phone from recovery and its good since. What I do ensure my battery is at best performance after calibration is to use my phone until my battery goes to near 20% before charging fully to 100% rather than how i charged my phone in earlier days where I charged to full battery from anywhere 50% - 67% which was not good for battery life. Big thank you to admin 🙏 for this solution.

Continuation... ~ Btw, I'm non Indian national so no reason to suspect that I am part of the people who released this steps. I'm just as curious as anyone and in need of assistance to fix my battery life. Not life, kidding. anyways, I followed the steps and only MISSED one. That is the fact I was not able to charge it for over an hour after it was full. I think I was only able to charge it for 20 or 30 minutes and then I unplugged it and powered up my phone. At first, it was very noticeable how the phone charge got back to the same old way where in it takes about an hour and 30 minutes before it gets fully charged to 100. Before the procedure, it only took my phone to charge about an hour to get to 100%. Now the battery life as mentioned became lengthy and it felt like it was new again. It lasted for more than 8 hours and it the longest is about 13hrs. Btw, I'm a heavy phone user so I always use my phone a lot. I am now curious if I could try again the whole battery reset and do the whole process again since I missed the minimum 1 hour charge after full. Please do let me know if I could actually try it again or is there any cooldown period like you can only do this steps once every 6 months or so. I'm just guessing so let me know. I can still feel something is lacking since I was not able to complete the steps till the end. Thanks to this guide! Awesome work y'all!

Thanks for the video. I have an s8 with the newest update running on Verizon and the secret codes don't work. Do you know of an alternative way to calibrate the battery without the secret codes?
Do not do this unless you're having problems with your battery as it could not work for everyone. Had to do a factory reset after doing a backup with smartswitch (even though i would recommend freshly installing your apps). So i'm back to 22 hrs of Device Idle and 7+ hours of Screen on time approximately. Just do some battery optimisations like disabling or putting on sleep apps that you don't use. Disabling features you don't use or block some permissions (access to camera, call logs etc..) of services like google. To extend your battery lifetime stop charging your phone at 80-90% and charge it when it's 20%. If you're the type of person like myself🙄 that leaves your phone charging overnight, disable fast charging as it prevents from stressing the battery.

@@kirearsov at 10% we must charge it drains rapidly the battery.. but I always have it at 60 or 70% brightness. Always 4G data on and a lot of gaming.. I'm amazed
The wipe cache partition really did the trick for my S9 Plus. Thanks
Does it get rid of any files on my phone? Like progress on my apps?
@@stellargacha5063 nope, only the battery life which getting normal
@@bowiesiregarthank you🙏💕
Wipe cache partition option alone worked for my S9 plus too. If that worked then all g, wouldn't recommend doing that battery recalibrate thing as a lot of people on One UI have reported increase in battery drainage after performing this function.
llIIIllIlIlIII- are you sure?
Thanks man so much, you are genius, fixed my battery on my s8 plus. Cant believe it thanks😁😁😁😁
I tried this a few times on my s8 plus. What did you do exactly to fix battery draining faster? Also how long does your battery last for ,100 to 0?
Yeah its so dumb. I pay for insurance and it only covers software issues. Anything like broken glass, battery problem, or water damage will cost me a 250$ fee apart from what im already paying a month
Instructions weren't clear. My cat cat is stuck on my foot now
I have bought new s9 which is preinstalled with pie and one ui
But its battery drained from 79% to 72% in just 7 minutes while I was seeing pictures in gallery with mobile data on.
Should I use the trick in video?
Will it improve my battery life?
Please reply as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Hey thanxx, it worked. !
My note 9's volume also improved...
Bro my Note9 lasts on for 5hours max,
Only by watching UA-cam
You need to turn location services off, close all the apps, restart your phone everyday and turn on power saving mode while just watching videos.
Hope this helps!!

Very precision tips and excelent guiding ! I own Note 8 but I am scared to upgrade on UI One I rather stay on first factory UI ! Since last year 4/2018 I still didnt download any of new Samsung updates !I dont trust them !👎
Yeah me either I'm to scared to do it
Does this wipe any apps or information I put into apps? Like will I have to restart some things because it deletes progress? Or does it just delete extra things?
It is totally safe my man, it won't delete any personal information

I dont have a battery drain issue after one ui update. Can i still use this method to increase my battery life ?? I have note 8
Not this one, but the one before this video. Link is in the pinned comment and at the end of the video. This is for those who see sudden drop in battery percent

My s9 came with 9.0 installed and there's been an issue with the battery since day 1 it's slowly improving even with me being on it 90% or the time
Battery must never be from 15% to 0% usage just charge it at 20% maximum to keep it alive
Great tip to extend overall battery life! Thanks for sharing, Sabstián!
My note 8 battery drain drastically when it reaches at 20%.. all is happening due to the previous update😟😢
Sir there is this serious, note 9 and 9 series issue that we all are suffering especially note 9 users is the screen discoloration, my phone works completely fine, until I hit the power off button and then my screen starts having this yellow hue, and horizontal lines , this issue has started to happen after the march 2020 update, when said to Samsung they want us to change the display, which is useless , sir, there are many users suffering from this problem after the update , of march 2020 security patch, there are many complains of note 9 discoloration on the US Samsung member app, and this discoloration goes away if we keep our phone away for 5 to 6mins and it works like normal phone untill we hit the power off button
It is because you life in India.. that version build version has some issues.. I got the stpck from DBT region and runs flawlessly
I living in South Pacific and we all have the same battery problem, S8, S9
in rastern europe same , and can not enter in sub menu like is described in video after put off device s8.
I have American version and I ha e that problem. But too lat cuz my s10+ is arriving in a few hours

After the dial pad you said you have to reboot the device and then drain the battery ?? Why wouldnt you show how you reboot it cuz like this its confusing

If you started getting decent backup, no need to redo these steps. However, repeating won't harm device and there is no such cooldown period.
My device still runs for only 5 hours after which i have to recharge it...
Hi I just updated to One UI 3 on my Galaxy note 10. Phone is heating up and draining my battery down drastically.. do you have any solutions. Thanks

Awesome! And thanks for sharing that, Anupam. Really appreciate it!
Really?
What u do
Which phone was it?
I just ordered a note 9. Is it best to update to Android Pie when new from the start? Does this avoid any issues including this battery drain?
MycketKar,out of the box UI looks less round=better (personal opinion)
Check out how it looks on UA-cam, then see if you want that
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS FIX!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Does it really work
My update downloaded but I didn't install it. How do I delete the update I don't want to update to newest update. Hears it kills your battery.
Brilliant, thanks buddy.
Is it normal that, if i use celular data and watching videos . It drains 1% 3 minuted each.
Lost 2 hours of screen on time with this manipulation.
I am using Sam j8 also suffered this problem may i use the tips..
Thank god I didn't update to the latest os cause oreo was perfect enough for me on the S8+ its battery life is still running great.

Hey man at 4:27 even you have got issue of water in your charging ports . Other than charging wirelessly do you have any other remedy for it?

Ps: before you do this make sure you already plugged your charger to the wall.
